Love At First Fight 2

This isn't even finished yet.

Author's Note: This is for Nintendo Nut 1. The pairing is GenoXMidna. It's gonna be a pain in the ever-living butt since I hardly know anything about Geno, despite my knowledge on Midna, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. My very first one-shot, I'm gonna try to make this one as long as possible. I'm not gonna even bother trying to describe cannon characters anymore. Look them up please.

Love At First Fight 2

They were all gathered in the meeting room. Two new fighters were joining. Everybody was curious as to who and why, but one thing was for sure. The crowd was extar noisy with conversation. When Master Hand came in with Crazy Hand, Crazy Hand nearly turned into Psycho Hand before Master Hand got everyone to shut up.

"Quiet everybody! SHUT UP!"

At that, all of the fighters silenced. Some of the kids had cowered behind the adults, but Master Hand calmed down quickly. He cleared his... the inside of his glove, I'm guessing... and began to speak again.

"Now that I have your attention, we have two new fighters that will be joining us for the tournament. So, if you may, please put your hands together for them now before I call them in here."

Applause could be heard. Only when it calmed down did Master Hand begin to speak again.

"Our first fighter comes from Star Road. He's a Star Spirit who has possessed the form of a doll in order to carry out his duty, but he takes that form again to fight inside the Brawl Tournament. Give it up, ladies and gentlemen, for Geno!"

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAHOO!" Mario cried through the applause and jumped down from his seat in front of Geno. The Star Spirit saw Mario land in front of him and smiled. He looked the same as ever.

"It's been a while, huh?" Geno asked.

"Yup. It's good to see you again Geno," Mario said.

"Likewise," Geno said.

"Not to ruin the reunion or anything, but we do have one more challenger that wants to join," Master Hand told them. Hearing this, Mario and Geno went over to Luigi and Peach where the four shared a quiet reunion. "Anyway, our next fighter is known as the Twlight Princess. She decided to come over here to meet an old friend and fight in our tournament. Ladies and gentlemen, now presenting Midna!"

"ALRIGHT!" Link cried through the applause and then jumped down himself. Midna looked the same as well and she smiled as she floated in front of Link.

"Hello Link," he said.

"Midna... It's good to see you again," Link said.

"I missed you," Midna admitted. "But I've heard that you and some guy called Roy got together. Is this true?"

"Uhhhh... well..." Link blushed. "Yeah."

"Wow! Then I was right after all. That means Jack owes me one-hundred rupees!" Midna said. Now Link looked irritated.

"You made a bet on whether I was gay or not?"

"Yup," Midna said.

"That is all. We hope our newest additions to the tournament will be accepted with gratitude and respect. You may now return to whatever activities you were currently performing at."

Geno looked over at Midna. If his body were capable of it, he would've blushed. He still looked away. Midna noticed Geno and turned away as well. Unlike him, she was able to blush.

Who in the world is that? Geno thought.

Who is he? Midna thought.

"Remember Smashers! The best way to get to know your new friends is through battle!" Master Hand called. That started it all. Midna smirked and then floated up behind Geno.

"Hello," she said and he turned to face her before smiling.

"Hi," he replied.

"Hey, I'd like to get to know you. Maybe one fight wouldn't hurt?" Midna asked.

"I'm sorry, but I'd like to move in first," Geno replied.

Midna smirked, getting a little mischievous. "Awww, don't be a chicken. I'm sure you'll do fine."

Geno twitched. "No thank you," he said, a little more firmly.

Mario and Link noticed the two together and walked over to see what was going on.

"Ooooh how I wish you would fight me," Midna said.

"Eh?" Geno asked.

"That's what you do, right? You grant wishes. But you won't grant mine. Guess that means you're not good at your job," Midna said.

Mario gaped. "Ahhhhh! Midna, don't go there!"

Geno grimaced. "I'm very good at my job. And what about you?! If you're a Princess, why aren't you back at your kingdom making sure whatever you rule over doesn't get out of hand?"

Now it was Link's turn. "Daaaah, Geno, don't or she'll make your regret it!"

Midna smirked and got his face. "I wanted to come here. You're a weird one, aren't you? Even got a wooden body."

"Mama Mia!"

Geno retaliated. "Better then being a freakish looking imp."

"By the Goddesses!"

Lightning flashed between their eyes. Mario and Link, sensing conflict, jumped in between and seperated the two. "Save it for the ring," they told their respective comrade before proceeding to pull away their respectable comrade with them.

What ARE you talking about?? This is great! Their argument at the end is THE BEST! XD
Just polish it up a bit, that's all, if you can. Like I told you, try adjectives and varied word choice.
But you do Geno just fine. ^^ And I like saucy Midna. XD

Oh, but I need a description of Geno's Attacks. I can guess Midna's having something to do with her hands and I think she can shoot energy bolts.

Okay!
Standard Attacks: His fists can either detatch and fly out to punch someone, or they can retract and be replaced by guns that shoot out stars or pellets. He can also shoot tinier pellets from his fingertips and larger pellets from his elbows.
Special Attacks:
Geno Beam: A standard power beam, blue in color
Geno Boost: Tiny little arrows shoot up under him to boost his jump and save him
Geno Whirl: A beam of golden circles, launched with a wave of his arm. If it connects precisely, it does a lot more damage
Geno Blast: Clouds blast to the ground, with streaks of color blazing behind them.
Geno Flash: Geno turns into a cannon and fires a ball of fire, which grows into a miniture sun under it BURSTS! Best to be used as a Final Smash (when you grab that cool orb thingie XD)

Quite a bit... Must think up Midna attacks... Hnnn...

Standard Attacks: I'm guessing attacking with dark magic, kinda like the way Ganondorf attacks except faster.
B Attack: Lock-On Strike - She locks on to the enemy using that field thing that helped Link in Twlight Princess and shoots out at them.
Up B Attack: Levitate - Allows her to levitate upward for a few seconds.
Down B Attack: Twili Shield - Summons in a red Twili Shield on both sides of her, the barriers that keep Link from escaping when those portal monsters come in. It's like Nayru's Love because it'll hurt the enemy if they touch it and deflect projectiles.
Side B Attack:
Final Smash: Definently that Transformation attack. She can attack with those spears that she attacked Ganondorf with.

A Side B? Hmmm....
How about lifting things and throwing them? XD Like when she lifts up the bridge or the cannon to transport it elsewhere.

Far away from Link and Midna, Mario looked at Geno. "Is something the matter with you, Geno?! You've never acted like that before!"

Geno shook his head and sighed. "Sorry... There's just something about her, that's all..."

"Oh, I see what this is about...Well, do fight her, find out what she's like and if you can come to like her or not. She does seem nice, despite some sarcasm," Mario said.

"... Ok. Thanks Mario," Geno said.

Mario nodded. "Don't worry about. Just let your heart guide you."

Meanwhile, we move to see Midna and Link having the same conversation.

"Midna, that was uncalled for?! What were you thinking?!" Link asked.

"I... I don't know... He interests me, that's all," Midna said and Link noticed her face turn red.

"Oh, I get it now... You could've just talked to him. Now that you're both in this fight, though, you've got to see if you can like him or not. After all, if you can't like him, what's the point of trying?" Link asked.

"Good point... Is this what it was like between you and that other guy, Roy?" Midna asked.

"That's a story for another time," Link said and then smiled, kneeling down so that he could look Midna in the eyes. "Just follow your heart and you'll end up in the right place."

A few minutes later, they stood by the teleporters. Midna and Geno nodded at each other and they entered. A bright orange beam of light shined down upon them and they ended up at the old Melee stage of Hyrule Temple. Midna entered by warping, the black tiles gathering together until she was there. Geno crashed into the ground and did a somersault to land on his feet.

"Alright, your wish is granted. Let's go," Geno said.

"Alright!" Midna said hapilly before throwing a rock at him. Geno immediately rolled out of the way and held his hand out. His fingers opened up and pellets shot out at Midna. She threw up a red Twili Barrier and the pellets shot back at Geno had to sidestep them.

"You're pretty good," Geno said, smiling softly.

"I could say the same for you," Midna said before she spread out a field of energy under her. Geno jumped back from it and she ended up charging out to meet his fist, which knocked her back hard off the top platform. She bounced off the little ledge that seperated the western and eastern side of the temple and rolled down the ramp before she hit the lower platform. Geno dropped through the platforms and charged at her, but she threw up a Twili Barrier under him, causing him to crash into the ceiling and hit the ground on. "We're practically even."

Geno stood up. "It's not over yet."

Suddenly Geno used his Geno Whirl and nearly caught Midna, but she managed to dodge and catch up in the field of her Lock-On Strike before charging out and hitting him hard. He was knocked back and nearly went over the edge. In between them, a Smash Ball formed. They both looked at it, then at each other. Geno was the first to move, but Midna moved as well. They both jumped and reached out to grab the Smash Ball. Their hands grabbed the Smash Ball, but they also connected with the other hands. Geno and Midna noticed this and Midna blushed while Geno gulped, unable to blush. Suddenly energy poured into them both. Midna noticed this and grinned as shards of a helmet floated around her. It stuck onto her and Geno was pushed away as a monster formed in Midna's past.

"Yikes!" Geno yelped as the monster pulled out eight spears and immediately started trying to stab Geno. Geno jumped up through the platforms to avoid the spears, but Midna followed. Geno got far enough and used his own Finishing Move. Geno turned into a cannon and fired a ball of light at Midna. Midna threw her spears accurately at Geno. The attacks collided and the resulting explosion was enough to send them both off the stage.

Hey, are you posting this on ff.net? If so, would you like me to BETA read it? Meaning I take the document and fix its grammer errors and make it look "camera-ready," so to speak? Even extend on some of the details? I've done so with other authors. ^^
