Now Momiji had to say that Akito was like a god to him. He was not a god, but due to holding the spirit of the Jade Emperor, he was supposedly bound to follow the "diety" for all time. Everyone in the Sohma household treated him like a god, even though he was nothing more then a selfish brat, for this reason. Momiji had hoped that his decision to run away would be a severe wake up call for Akito. He was not permanent and he could be evaded for as long as necessary. Rin managed to do it, even if she was hospitalized often, and now he was going to do it. But he wasn't alone. He had his new friend with him, Mitsu-chan, and both their Bun-Buns. Everything was right with the world as they were far, far away from Akito now.
They finally came across a village and were directed to the Shrine. It was a homage to the gods of Shintoism, for which the natives of the village still had belief in. Momiji thought it was a nice looking shrine, so he decided to go check it out. Sure enough, it was eastern-styled and quite lovely to look at. Others were checking it out too, including a green-haired youth, a blue haired swordsman, and a girl with bat wings holding a parasol over her head. (CAMEOS FOR THE WIN!) Momiji knew that the world connecting all worlds would feature weird looking people and didn't let it bother him. He could be himself here and, as a result, did not decide to judge others. He looked at Hunny and smiled. "We're far from him now," he said.

Hunny looked around them in awe, having never seen a place like this before. He'd been in jungles and seen huts like these on beaches, as well as the numerous shrines that littered Japan like fire hydrants. However, he'd never seen it all combined into one setting, and was especially surprised that the shrine was a religion he recognized. Hunny's brown eyes were as wide as they could be, head turning this way and that in an effort to take in everything at once. The people they passed attracted his attention even more, half of them not even human and even the humans being a completely new sight to the boy.
He wasn't judging anyone, but he couldn't stop himself from staring a bit or gawking at the truly strange creatures they saw. Hunny was just wondering if the girl with the bat wings was part bat when Momiji spoke, dragging his attention back to the task at hand. "Oh.... oh! Yeah, we are, Momi-chan~! Isn't it neat here? Look at all the other people!! I wonder how many dimensions there are~ No one looks like they come from the same one, so I bet there's a lot! Momi-chan, do you want to go in and see the shrine? Do you~?" he rambled adorably, grinning from ear to ear.

Momiji didn't really want to go into the shrine. Something about it bothered him. But before he could say anything, some people from the shrine came out to consort with the girl with bat wings... rather to chase her away saying something along the lines of "Be gone evil demon" or "Evil be banished" or something like that. Momiji decided then that it would, indeed, be a good time to go inside, so without an answer, he tugged Hunny into the shrine away from the potential violence and closed the door. Taking his shoes off and putting the (whatever they are) on his feet, he walked further into the shrine with Hunny now. As he expected, something about this place weirded him out. Maybe it was the fact that he was cursed by the vengeful rabbit spirit. But at least it was better then being out there.

Hunny blinked as a few people came out of the shrine and proceeded to confront the girl he'd been curious about, shouting something about demons and evil. He pouted, wondering if she really was or if they were just overreacting, but didn't have long to think on it as Momiji suddenly dragged him into the shrine. He stumbled after him in slight surprise, but was sort of relieved to be away from the yelling and arguing outside. Humming contentedly to himself, Hunny changed his shoes and followed after Momiji, barely suppressing the urge to skip in his good mood. The shrine looked just like others he'd seen in his own dimension, if not populated with a few monks who weren't the average human.
He turned to his friend to ask if he'd ever been in one before, but noticed his expression and paused. Hunny slowed to a stop, tugging slightly on Momiji's hand as his head tilted to the right. "....Momi-chan? Is something wrong? You look nervous~ Was it because of those people out there?" he asked quietly, concerned.

Momiji shuddered and frantically clung to Hunny, eyes wide as he stared around the shrine. "I don't know why... something about this place scares me, Mitsu-chan," he whimpered. He was sure it wasn't the monks for they seemed nice enough, even if they had been overreacting, and the shrine itsself was rather gorgeous, nice looking and yet simplistic enough as you'd expect a Shinto Shrine to be. There was nothing wrong with it, so why did he feel so paranoid and anxious?
"Ahhhhh... the spirit inside you... it's reacting to the energies of this place," one of the monks said. By the look in his eyes, it was obvious he was blind, yet he was looking directly at Momiji.

Hunny blinked in surprise as Momiji suddenly clung to him, but didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around his friend in a gesture of comfort and protection. He quickly glanced around, wondering what was making the blond act like this, but saw nothing out of the ordinary- at least, what was ordinary for this place. "Momi-chan....?" he murmured, frowning. Hunny rubbed his back in an effort to calm Momiji down, wondering if perhaps there was some hidden enemy that his friend sensed waiting to strike. "Momi-chan, if this place is scaring you, we should-"
He was interrupted by one of the monks, surprising him especially when he caught sight of the man's eyes and realized he was blind. Hunny stared at him for a few moments before returning his gaze to the shivering Momiji, brows slanting downwards in even further worry. "Is that true, Momi-chan? If it's bothering you that badly, we can leave. I don't mind. After all, it's just a shrine~"

"Rabbit spirit, why must you be so vengeful?" the monk asked as Momiji made to move out of the shrine. It was like something was attacking his very soul and the only solution to stopping the assaults was to get the Hell out of there. Was it true, then, that his very existance was a sin and that he was, indeed, a monster? But Momiji severely doubted that and just thought that it had something to do with his spirit, that the spirit was reacting badly to the energies inside the shrine, where evil spirits were often exorcized from others when possessing them. Naturally the spirit wouldn't want to be around exorcists. That was a logical explanation.
They were out of the shrine and no one was around anymore. Perhaps it was due to the monks before, but not even they were around, harassing the bat-winged girl. Momiji shook his head and sat on the bottom stairs leading to the shrine. Naturally they had gotten their shoes back, but Momiji had forgotten to put them on in his haste. He clinged to Hunny when they were outside and shuddered, calming down now.

Hunny glanced back once at the blind monk as he followed Momiji out of the shrine, wondering what he meant by that last question. Surely the adorable rabbit spirit in his friend couldn't be vengeful.... that sounded so evil. He hoped the man had just been guessing and that there was a different reason for his friend's discomfort, one that didn't place him in a bad light. Hunny looked around in surprise once they were outside again, wondering where everyone had disappeared to. They'd been inside the shrine for less than five minutes, but even the monks were gone.
He finally just shrugged it off, realizing it was a bit of a relief since it gave them time to be alone and sort through this mess. Hunny sat beside Momiji, letting the blond cling to him and just holding him as relaxed, glad that the boy was finally calming down. He decided they should probably avoid any other shrines they came across on the island, no matter the religion. "Are you feeling better now, Momi-chan?"

Momiji eventually began to cool down as the outside air blew on them, a light breeze in the village's atmosphere. It made him feel better and he suddenly laid his head against Hunny's shoulder softly. It felt so comfortable that he didn't want to pull away. A perfect moment, one that should not have been interrupted... yet when Momiji finally understood what he was doing, he let go of Hunny, pulling his head up with a snap and blushing hardly. "S-S-Sorry!" What an embarassing situation he found himself in and yet... he couldn't bring himself to be too upset. Something about it felt strangely right. Was it just him? Was it the atmosphere? Was it a combination?

Hunny's eyes widened slightly when Momiji laid his head on his shoulder, a pink tinge sprouting upon his cheeks in response. No one had ever done that to him before, not even the girls who came to the Host Club. A little unsure of what to do, he decided to just keep his arm around his friend and leave him be. Momiji looked tired and worn out from the strain of the last few hours, and they had been walking for a long time. Hunny was actually beginning to smile when the blond suddenly snapped his head up and apologized, face a deep shade of red.
He blinked a few times in surprise, but realized the situation could be a little embarrassing when he thought about it. None the less, he kept his arm around Momiji and gave him a little tug, coaxing him back into his previous position. "It's okay, Momi-chan~ I don't mind. You can rest on my shoulder if you want to," Hunny soothed, flush darkening a bit when he realized that a part of him really wanted Momiji to lean on him again. Something about the action made his heart flutter in a strange new way.

Momiji whimpered a little, afraid that Hunny might be upset with him. The position he had put them in had been so awkward and embarassing that it wasn't funny, even if some sick jerks found it that way. He almost felt ashamed of himself, but before he could get the chance to feel shame, Hunny pulled the bunny boy back down onto him, allowing his head to rest back on his strong shoulder. Momiji had always thought, by the look, Hunny would be about the same as him. But laying his head down and cuddling up to the other boy, he could feel the strength in the other shota's body. It only made him blush more, but he nodded at Hunny's offer. He really was tired. The anxieties of Akito and the shrine took a hold on him and he closed his eyes, resting against Hunny softly.

Hunny had experienced a similar revelation, though with the opposite realization. He, too, had believed them to be pretty much the same, even with their subtle differences. However, as Momiji cuddled up to him, he realized just how slimmer and more feminine he was in comparison. The thought made Hunny blush a bit, though he didn't move his arm from around the other or pull away. He glanced down at the other shota, cheeks reddening a bit more when he saw him beginning to drift off.
Steps weren't exactly the best place for a nap, but he had missed his today and he was just as tired as Momiji was. Yawning softly, Hunny let his head fall onto his friend's, his hat making a soft pillow for his cheek to rest on. Though the position was romantic, because of their shota appearance, it looked more like two friends taking a break from their playtime. The two Bun-Buns were cradled and squished between them, and more than a few passerbys cooed and "aw'd" at the sight. Even the monks, though they frowned upon a couple of boys dozing on the steps of their shrine, couldn't bring themselves to confront the adorable pair.

One of the monks did go to interrupt, but a young man that had just arrived shook his head and smirked. "Leave them be. Besides, you wouldn't want to wake the one in the suit up. He may not be posessed by the Devil, but you'll think he is if you wake him up." The monk looked a little sullen, and yet he wisely backed off. The man smiled and then pet the two boy's hair softly, watching the monks go back into the shrine. "Momiji and Hunny, huh? Yeah... I think this'll go along ok." He purred and stood back up before walking away. Most of the people watching him go thought he was some kind of creep. Maybe he was, but not in the way they thought. After all, Michael was just the storyteller, not the character.
(Cameo to pass the naptime. Hoorah self-insert!)

((Lol, I'll have to squeeze in one for myself at some point to make us even. XD))
Hunny woke with a yawn, large and cute as it scrunched up his face and brought small tears to the corners of his closed eyes. He absentmindedly rubbed at them with a fist, the other still wrapped tightly around Momiji. That had been a surprisingly good nap, seeing as he'd fallen asleep sitting up on a stone step. Blinking his brown eyes open, Hunny straightened, only to wince and grimace a bit as his back and neck twinged in protest. Apparently, though his mind had enjoyed the rest, his body hadn't much liked the position.
He also realized the arm he had wrapped around Momiji was sore as he stretched it a bit, making sure not to keept it off of the other for more than a few seconds. Hunny was actually surprised that it had stayed there for so long, since it had to have been a few hours. It was now late afternoon, evening almost, and the sun was slowly sinking down into the trees surrounding the village. However, the fact that his arm hadn't left Momiji's shoulders once made him smile, and he gazed down at his twin. Hunny wondered if this is how he looked while he slept, like an adorable, blond angel at rest.
The thought brought a fresh blush to his cheeks, and something within him stirred again, something he hadn't been aware was there until now. Swallowing down the emotion, he quickly shifted his gaze and wiggled his lower half, trying to work the feeling back into his limbs. Hunny was also doing it to give Momiji a little more time to rest, not wanting to wake the other after what he'd been through and because of how cute he looked. "I wonder if there's a place here we can stay for the night...." His stomach gave a low grumble. "And get some dinner~"

Momiji would eventually wake up ten minutes later. In the time that Hunny had taken to wake up, he had managed to shift into a more comfortable position, literally laying himself in the little blonde's lap. It begged the question... why was Momiji a man? He acted so much like a girl as was, so certainly he was more along the transgender route, a man who felt he was born in the wrong body and should've been a woman. But no, Momiji knew he was a man and felt he was born in the right body, and yet he figured that girl's clothing would look better on him, cuter you could say, so he wore it. The effects worked, but at the cost of one's manhood and dignity in some cases. Sissification, as some called it, was unacceptable for males. Momiji did not care.
When he woke up, however, to find himself curled in Hunny's lap, he jumped off blushing. His hands and fingers came together in front of him in a sort of shy fashion as he started stuttering appologies to the other boy. One of the monks, finally fed up with this "act of misconduct" as he would consider it, decided to walk down to the two. He decided to act nice, figuring it would get things done faster without warranting any resistance. Besides, the religion he followed asked more for kindness and peace as was and he couldn't bring himself to yell at two cute faces, but what must be done had to be done. "Excuse me, you two, but I'm afraid I have to ask you to leave the shrine. The scene you have set up is bad karma, you see, and we have to expel negative karma from here so that evil spirits don't lurk."
