Full Name: Brock Harrison
Nicknames: n/a
Age: 18
Height: ? (taller than Ash and Dawn)
Weight: ?
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Good
Home: Pewter City, Kanto
Franchise: Pokemon (anime)
Physical Description: Brock is markedly different looking from his other two companions when it comes to basic appearance. For once, he has rather tan skin skin, even though most people in his region of the Pokemon world have paler skin. His eyes also appear like they are shut at most times, so no one’s really sure what his eye color is. Brock’s hair is spikey and short cut, and is naturally brown. At the time of Brock’s arrival on the island, he’s wearing an earthy green t-shirt with an orange vest over it. The vest has a large brown horizontal stripe at the shoulders, and where the sleeves open up there are also brown stripes. His baggy pants are a khaki color. His shoes are blue and white and have a large Velcro strap on them.
Weapons: Brock uses no weapons, though he could throw rocks and sticks if he needed to.
Abilities/Powers: Brock’s a normal human. However, after encountering the Pokemon Azelf while in Snowpoint City, Brock “synchronized” with the Pokemon, causing him to be able to communicate through a form of telepathy once his thoughts became synchronized with it. This power is also absolutely useless on the island, unless Azelf suddenly appears.
Skills: Brock is a good cook, as well as being generally good at basic housekeeper things, like cleaning.
Brock’s other skill is more of an ability, if you can believe that. He can and will fall in love with any woman he meets. Specifically the various Nurse Joys and Officer Jennies. He is so good at this that he can immediately pick out men crossdressing as women and people pretending to be Nurse Joys/Officer Jennies.
Personality: Brock’s probably the most level-headed and mature of the “twerps.” He’s often an older brother figure toward Ash and Dawn as well as a caretaker, and he acts as the voice of reason in disputes. He often places others before him and will help and support his friends, even against his better judgement. He’s very observant as well, and is quite the powerful battler himself.
All of this maturity goes right out the window the moment Brock sees a beautiful woman. He will do anything and everything to attempt to woo one, though inevitably he’ll be turned down. At the very least, he will be on the receiving end of one of his Croagunk’s Poison Jabs.
History: Brock was the oldest of ten siblings. When Brock turned 10, he got his first Pokemon, an Onix he received from his father, the Gym Leader of Pewter City. Shortly after Brock turned 10, his father left home to become a great trainer. He never returned, and Brock’s mother eventually left as well, leaving Brock both the Gym and his nine siblings. Years passed, and unbeknownst to Brock, his father eventually returned home in shame. But instead of returning to his house, he lived on the outside of Pewter City, selling rocks for insane prices.
One day, a mediocre starting trainer named Ash showed up with his lone Pokemon, a Pikachu. Brock didn’t expect Ash to win, and indeed, Ash only managed to win after a rematch and a fluke. Brock awarded the Boulder Badge, and it was after this that Brock’s father reappeared. Brock managed to get his father to take on responsibilities for the gym and left to travel with Ash and Misty as a Pokemon Breeder, staying with them until Ash arrived in the Orange Islands, where he left to work for Proffessor Ivy for a short time. What happened there is unknown, as Brock absolutely refuses to speak of it, but it likely involves some form of sexual harassment by Ivy and her many female assistants. When Ash and Misty travelled to Johto from the Orange Islands, Brock very gladly came along.
From then, Brock travelled through Johto with Ash, leaving Ash’s group shortly after he decided to go to Hoenn, only meeting up with him later in Hoenn. After Ash finished up in Hoenn, they once again parted ways, only to meet up again in Sinnoh, where they collaborated to find Ash’s Pikachu once again. They then met with Dawn, and the three began travelling together.
It was after Brock started travelling with Ash and Dawn in Sinnoh that he learned of Team Galactic. Team Galactic was a much more sinister, much more challenging team than Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua had ever been. Brock didn’t understand their true intentions until after he synchronized with the Pokemon Azelf. When Team Galactic executed their grand plan, Brock ended up being dragged into things along with Ash and Dawn due to their links to the Lake Trio. Brock, Ash, and Dawn ended up being kidnapped and used as hostages so that the Lake Trio would listen to them. However, thanks to the help of Cynthia, they managed to escape, and they helped to free the Lake Trio and Dialga and Palkia. However, that wasn’t enough to stop things, as Dialga and Palkia began to fight, creating a large dimensional warp on Spear Pillar. Ash, Dawn, and Brock all ended up being pulled into the warp, and if it hadn’t been for the influence of a mysterious force, Brock would have been lost in the void between dimensions forever.
Other: Like Ash and Dawn’s app, this app regards all of the movies as canon, though in this case they were left out because this is a highly abridged version of Brock’s history.
Brock’s last name is fanon.
Pokemon:
Gender is guessed for the one Pokemon of Brock’s that doesn’t have a gender confirmed in the anime already.
Sudowoodo
-Gender: Male
-Moves: Take Down, Flail, Mimic, Hammer Arm
-Notes: Originally caught as a very young Bonsly, Brock’s Sudowoodo is the only Rock-type he currently owns. It’s very upbeat and acts as an older brother figure to Brock’s Happiny.
Croagunk
-Gender: Male
-Moves: Poison Jab, Poison Sting, Brick Break
-Notes: A very creepy and unsettling Pokemon Brock owns. He tends to do things his own way, and often takes up the role of stopping Brock whenever he flirts with a girl by popping out of his Pokeball and Poison Jabbing him. He’s about as close to Brock as Ash’s Pikachu is to Ash.
Happiny
-Gender: Female
-Moves: Pound, Secret Power
-Notes: Brock’s latest baby Pokemon, Brock got her as an egg from a Pokemon cosplay contest. She’s very playful and energetic, but also very strong.
