Full Name: Leviathan (he has no true name. Leviathan is what he goes by)
Pseudonyms: Jonah (and variations, when in human form)
Apparent Age: Young Adult
Actual Age: ? (Older than Man)
Height (Demon Form): 6'6"
Length (Demon Form, see Description): 13'6"
Weight (Demon Form): Heavy (due to construct. Not fat)
Gender: N/A (has no gender preference, but seems male)
Race: Demon
Alliance: Evil (Perhaps better said to be Chaos)
Home: A Plane of Dark
Franchise: Potential Sins (Original Story)
Physical Description (Demon Form)
Leviathan is very serpentine. He doesn't appear to have scales like a snake word, but instead his dark green bordering black skin seems like stretched leather and feels something like a combination of dead flesh and stretched leather. His "belly" area is a darker shade of green, and pretty much indistinguishable from black in most lights. When he moves, it doesn't seem to move quite right due to the way it stretches over his skin and it creates a disturbing effect. When fully stretched out, his length reaches the length mentioned in his basic stats. However, he tends to "stand" by bending his body at a certain point, which is what contributes to the height mentioned in the stats.
Leviathan's face is where the effect of stretched flesh reaches its most disturbing. It is almost as if someone took a draconic skull and a piece of leather a touch too small and stretch it to force a fit. Its not full draconic because the snout is far shorter, more like a mutated human skull. The mouth area seems to be black bone something like a bird's beak, and it creates some slight issue with pronunciation. The beak is jagged and looks perfect for tearing flesh if Leviathan were to eat something. He is capable of smiling because his "mouth" extends a bit further than is natural at the base of the beak. The beak functions also as the nose, making the head like some kind of dragon and bird combination with only traces of human.
The flesh pulls from the eyes, which are solid black that reflect dark green in the light. They are slanted at a sharp angle and thin. On the top of his head is a razor sharp spine spike like one might see on common depictions of western dragons. It is rather large, about the size of a standard ax with the differing shape taken into account. Its pitch black like his beak. Leviathan's facial flesh stretches from three key points. The spike, the beak, and the eyes. Just below the spike at the top of his head is one about half size. There's a bit of gathered flesh there, as if that's' the point the pulled flesh is connected at. From that point, the spikes continue down towards the tip of Leviathan's tail tip, each spike getting slowly and progressively smaller till the very tiny part near the tip of his tail.
The tip of his tail is something like one might expect to see on a dolphin in its most basic construct. However, It also has resemblances to a pair of dragon wings. The flesh is stretched there as well, and the more membrane like parts are the same darker shade of green as his belly. The tips of each "bone" part of the "wings" are exposed and a bit more flesh is gathered there. Like with the spike at back of his head, that seems to be where the pulled flesh is connected at. The exposed parts are razors sharp like his spikes.
Leviathan has two absolutely gigantic draconic wings extending from the back, roughly where you might expect arms to come from if he were human, just a bit more back. The size of the wings are what you might expect on a western dragon. However, they fold in three parts, thus distinguishing them from dragon wings. Near the front on both wings are a hooked "bone spike" piece, razor sharp on only one side and pitch black like his spikes. This allows Leviathan to hook them in front of his "chest" for lack of a better definition. Due to the size of his wings, this creates an effect similar to a cloak or shawl. They hang down to just below where he slides along the ground. The wings are very skeletal and don't look like they could support flight despite being able to do so due to Leviathan's paranormal abilities. In general appearance they are similar to his tail "fins". Unlike his tail fins, the membranes seem very tattered, with holes and what mimics a rotting cloth effect near the bottom. Also, due to the way his wings can bend he is able to use them as hands.
Physical Description (Human Form)
Leviathan's human form itself has no signs of his true demonic nature, and any signs there of fall under his Abilities/Powers. Leviathan favors a form that is freakishly tall for whatever ethnicity he is choosing to represent. Leviathan can take any form when his powers are at full, but his preferred and easiest to take form is that of a generic Caucasian male standing at about 7'2" and noticeably muscled but not falling into body builder categories. His hair is on the long ends of short and ebony black and his eyes are dark green. He tends to wear a black and dark green in a well balanced ratio. He is as like as not to wear jewelry, but when he does it tends to resemble bone and is black in color. He's almost always in snake skin boots.
Weapons
Leviathan doesn't carry any weapons on his person. However, he is just as if not more flexible than a snake and every single thing on his body that resembles a blade or razor can (and will if he feels the need to) be used as such. Note that these are just as effective under water and capable to cut through almost anything man can create. This includes damaging things like the adamantium of some worlds, but he couldn't cut through metals such as that.
Abilities/Powers
Leviathan possesses the potential for all the powers one would expect an Arch Fiend (alternatively: Demon Lord) to have. Enormous demonic strength and the power of dark incarnate. In the mortal realm, his power relates more to the amount of jealousy expressed and held by man. His power increases with Envy, and decreases with Patience. He has a polar opposite on the angelic axis, an angel by the name of Zerachiel. Their scale of power to each other relates to the opposite Virtue and Sin they represent.
Due to a historical first and a dimensional rarity, the balance of power between the planes of dark and light have created the potential for enormous impact upon the Arch Fiends of Sins and the Seraphim of Virtues. Leviathan's power is set for the potential to grow as he has found the human representative of both Envy and Patience and awakened the power of Envy within them by magnifying that aspect of their soul. While Leviathan's powers are dynamic and as impossible to pin down as one might expect a god's to be, the advantage is worth note.
A key power not obviously related to his status as a demon is the ability to sense when mortals have a lean towards the Sin of Envy. He is by nature of his being drawn to such individuals and is more able to appear before them and more likely to be able to manipulate them. While the Sin of Envy may overlap with other Virtues and Sins depending on the way it expresses, it doesn't hamper Leviathan's harmonization with such individuals.
He is able to move through water as well as people move through air, as if the resistance isn't even there. He has no need to breath as with other demons and angels, so that isn't a problem. His ability of flight is more a power than a skill as his wings would not be able to support him if he were not demonic.
Skills
Leviathan is able to use a lot of secular weapons, although his construct means he prefers ones that are eat to use one handed He can fight with two weapons at the same time flawlessly and his wings seem as independent of each other as each of an octopi's arms. He doesn't like using weapons though, as his body is useful enough for that.
Being non-human as he is with his age, Leviathan is able to most human skills he would need at the time. This isn't to say he can do everything and definitely not to say he can't be overpowered in many ways. It just makes creating a list very difficult. His strength, and the ones worth mentioning, tend to focus around theft and getting what others have and that he wants. Deceit, theft, lies, etc.
Personality
Leviathan, upon first meeting, seems eerily calm. He is arrogant and if you knew he was a Sin demon one might mistake him as the representative of Pride. However, unlike Pride he never overestimates his abilities and will be the first to admit he falls short on something. To see his true personality, you pretty much have to have something he wants. That's when his ruthless and heartless nature comes out. He takes glee in depriving people of everything they have. However, he does tend to rush things in this regard and his greatest personality flaw seems to be his inability to wait. Despite his age, he doesn't seem to grasp ideas of waiting for what he wants.
If he wants revenge, he'll be reckless. He won't wait for an opening and will charge in headfirst. He'll make a lot of mistakes and will let facts slip. His greatest joy is taking what people treasure, and those are the things he wants the most. He is cunning and manipulative.
History
Leviathan was born in some reality or another at the creation of the seven damning faults of existence, which came into being with the seven saving graces. Connected to more dimensions than is sane to count, Leviathan grew with his peers with the increase of acts of Envy by sentient beings. When humans first appeared in his reality, his power pretty much exploded as humans held the most potential for the Sins and Virtues. He began his first appearances to humanity then, originally being seen in his most true form as a spirit of evil. As civilizations advanced, he gained the strongest association with myth as the demon Leviathan, and it was from then he held a common name to refer to himself as.
History advanced as it will with Leviathan as the counterpoint to the angel known as Zerachiel. He remained familiar with his Arch Fiend brethren, but kept an tense distance from them as they tended to do with each other. At some point it was discovered by both the Seraphim and Arch Fiends that there may come a time when souls with equal potential for Virtue and Sin would come from whatever spiritual ocean souls originated from. Leviathan reacted unwell each time his power was exceeded by his brethren.
Leviathan was not the first nor the last to find the soul foretold. The human was leaning more towards Sin, and Leviathan worked to magnify the Sinning side of the human's soul, in effect creating a Superpowered Evil Side that could draw out the Sin of Envy in others and increase Leviathan's strength.
At some point or another, Leviathan chose to come to Dimension Island to investigate growing activity there. With that, he came to Dimension Island.
Other
Part of the Potential Sins cast. None of the characters from this story are available without my express permission. I promise not to overpower him, although his descriptions may not make him seem balanced enough.
As shown in the app, Leviathan is not a demon in the Biblical sense of the word. He instead represents a sentient "spirit" of dark. The name is one he adopted as a reflection of human myth, his home reality doesn't have the whole Judeo-Christan pantheon going on.
I adapted his app from the angel Gabriel's. I have no images of Leviathan in any form, but I tried to be specific with his description.
