Physical Description
Claris is a Caucasian young woman with traces of European descent in her basic appearance. She is of more or less average height for that, although she is a touch underweight. She has no muscle to really speak of and is somewhat pale.
Claris has long pink hair. Her bangs, as far as she has them are usually pulled back in her preferred ponytail. However, the demands of her current lifestyle often prevent her from styling it in such a relaxed manner. It would likely be damaged if her stylists weren't on top of things.
Her eyes, when she is not dressed up for or exhausted by a performance, are full of life and make her seem more like a Junior High School student than a grown woman. They are dark pink bordering on red. Her narrow eyebrows (due to plucking) draw more attention to them.
Claris' preferred style of dress is very casual. Worn jeans, loose t-shirts, tennis shoes, etc. However, her agent insists that "Bella" always be in the height of fashion. Her outfits are often all over the place as a result, and can be very hit and miss. When dreaming, how comfortable she finds her outfit relates closely to how pleasant she finds the dream.
Weapons
Claris carries a thing of pepper spray on her. When she is dreaming, she is as like as not to have it.
Abilities/Powers
Claris is a somewhat rare individual in that she has a natural inclination towards possessing all five of the building blocks of the dreamworld Nightopia. These "Ideya" represent Hope, Purity, Intelligence, Growth, and most important, Courage. In the past, they were at full strength, but recently, she has been losing her connection to them.
What this basically means is she has the potential to access every aspect of her dream utopia known as Nightopia and the potential to remember her adventures within. Under the right circumstances, she can visit the Nightopias of those that share this ability to equal extent.
Her strength with Ideya and resonance with the red Ideya of Courage also creates a connection with the rogue Nightmaren known as NiGHTS. She can easily merge with him via Dualizing and is one of only a select few able to destroy the seal on all types of the prisons known as Ideya Palaces.
Her ability as a fully lucid dreamer is a result of her potential with Ideya.
Skills
Claris has one main skilp worth note. She is an absolutely amazing singer. It is her life's passion. She is also quite famous at it.
Personality
Claris is a sweet girl with confidence issues. She is often concerned with what others think to the point of forgetting who she really is and wants fo be so she won't upset people. She hates stepping on peoples toes.
Claris has issues saying no. She also has issues with being gullible as she tries hard to see the good in everyone. She is very loyal and would never purposely betray the trust of a friend.
History
Claris was born in the city of Twin Seeds. Her life was never all that spectacular. Even as she grew, the small city exploded in size. When she was eight, the construction of a tower modeled after London's Big Ben began. It was shortly after she turned fifteen that it was announced the tower would be officially finished on the day of Twin Seeds' 100th anniversary.
With that announcement came another. A huge talent contest would be held as part of the festivities. Claris, who had always loved to sing wanted nothing more than to take part. However, she was stricken with a huge case of stage fright and ran out in tears without singing a single note,
She cried herself to sleep that night and was plagued with nightmares. However, the strength of her dream activatef her latent Ideya and lead her to one of her Nightopias.
The beings known as Nightmaren had chased her, though.us Upon arriving in her Nightopia, they once again stole her Ideya. She might have been dragged back had she not seen a purple jester. Her desire to help save the clearly trapped individual made her Ideya of Courage shine with enough force to repel the Nightmaren.
The trapped jester, she would find out, was named NiGHTS. She freed it and as thanks, he helped her explore her Nightopia and regain her Ideya,
Over the next several nights, she learned more about Nightopia. During these adventures, she managed to befriend the odd jester. She had to deal with her own self doubt when she learned that NiGHTS was a Nightmaren, and came out of it deciding she would help the dream demon defeat his creator, the ruler of Nightmare known as Wizeman.
Wizeman retaliated. He attacked NiGHTS and tried to isolate Claris with her fears. She worked past them with her Courage and desire to he,p NiGHTS. However, a moment of weakness almost expelled her from her dreams. A blue haired boy came to her rescue, and they realized they were both trying to help NiGHT
The power of their united strengths and wish allowed them to rescue and both Dualize with NiGHTS. This boosf allowed them to defear Wizeman, only to discover it would cost NiGHTS his life as well.
When Claris woke up, she swore not to forget NiGHTS. When she discovered a cancellation in the talent contest had occurred, she drew on the strength she hzd learned in her dreams and wiped the floor with the other hopefuls. As she was leaving, she heard someone trying to get her attention. She was astonished to see it was the boy from her dreams. He told her he had been heading home from his second attempt to get on his school's basketball team when he heard her singing. Claris, and the boy who had introduced himself as Elliot realized NiGHTS had granted them both the courage they needed.
After that, Claris and Elliot began to date. In their last year of high school, they were able to once again meet NiGHTS together (they had long since realized their memories of him was all that was needec to restore him.) With NiGHTS' help, they were able to help Twin Seeds' Christmas celebration pass without a hitch.
Claris and Elliot went their seperate ways after high school. Elliot had gotten a basketball scholarship, and Claris refused to let her feelings hold him back. Shortly after that, Claris got a record deal.
The problem arose when Claris' agent began to demand things. Stars had to have an image, and Claros has spent the last year or so being forced into the role of Bella Notte. Not only that, but the stress is breaking down her Nightopia and pushing her ever deeper into Nightmare...

Claris is post canon. Not obvious, but she uses every NiGHTS game as canon, including the Christmas bonus disc.
