"Yeah, you know what? Seriously." Zelos was starting to grow tired of Link's stubbornness too. "I mean, come on. You dropped down in the middle of hot springs through a portal. The crazy redhead's been blasting magic everywhere. I healed up your wound, AND a fairy's been trying to talk some sense into you." He raised a brow. "I mean, either you're blind, or you're in serious denial."

Quite simply the best explanation of Link's expression at the moment was trapped. He was trying to glare at the faerie, but he wasn't doing a very good job at it. He turned towards Zelos to try and give that same glare at the red-head. It didn't go much better. After a few moments of trying and rather spectacularly failing to come up with an argument, he turned an put his back against the wall. He slid into a sitting position and put his fingers through the hair on either side of the front of his head. He shook his head.
"So what the hell am I supposed to do?" Link's expression turned to a slight glare as he turned towards Zelos, "I've known that 'crazy redhead' for over a year. The guy would freak if he managed to step on an ant. That was not Akhar. You want me to believe in this magic crap? Explain to me what the hell is wrong with him! Better yet, explain to me why the hell I'm hearing voices call me a coward in my dreams!"
Bry had crossed her arms as Link slid into a sitting position. So the damn fool was finally accepting things. However, she relaxed her pose as Link informed the man just outside the door that he knew Akhar. She wondered if she'd gone too far and turned her head when he gave the last bit. It wouldn't be visible for her faerie aura, but her eyes widened. Voices... in his dreams!? She jerked her head towards Zelos to see what reaction he would have towards it.

"Voices in your dreams, huh?" Sounded like all that prophecy craziness the bishops liked to talk about back home. "Welp, then, that settles it!" A bit abruptly, he grabbed Link's wrist and hoisted him back on his feet, in a confident way meant to pump him up, boost his spirits.
"Looks like you're destined for huge things, kid!" Zelos promptly smacked his back. "Just do what I do and do whatever comes naturally. Destiny tends to make up for the rest."

Link tensed straight up as Zelos grabbed his wrist, but didn't put up much in the way of resistance. His weapon fell out of the slight support it had had in his right arm crook, and hit the ground with a sort of "clack" noise. He hadn't recovered from being yanked to his feet before Zelos smacked him on the back, so he took a startled step forward to maintain his balance. He managed a glare this time as he straightened up and brushed at his left shoulder just above where Zelos had hit.
Bry wasn't quite sure just what to do with that. She flew over in front of Link and leaned over to look at Zelos, "Is this kind of thing normal in your world or something?"
"I'm not a kid," Link said, bordering a growl, "And how the hell is being criticized for lacking Courage a sign of 'great things'?"

"Ehhh, they're just trying to light a fire under your butt and get you goin'," Zelos waved it off, preparing to answer both of their questions as he hefted his sword proudly over his shoulder. "Take it from someone who's been there and back. Being a 'Chosen one' is no walk in the park, everybody's got high expectations from you, and sometimes it's a real drag."
He grinned. "But do what I do and put some pride into it! It's a lot less gloomy to deal with, I can promise you that."

Link frowned at Zelos. He'd noted it before, but with the recent developments he had to wonder about that sword of his.and the entire way he was acting annoyed Link. In a similar fashion to the "glowing bug" calling itself a faerie and Akhar's tendency to have his nose stuck in some stupid myth... that seemed to be coming true. Link had never cared much for the Legends of Zelda, and as a result didn't know them well. He'd not paid much attention to Lit class either, just enough to squeak through the tests before promptly forgetting them.
"Alright, Mr. Pretty Boy, what the hell am I supposed to do then?" Link pointed towards where Akhar had been before, "I find the loser annoying, but I'm not gonna let him get killed by whatever the hell just happened back there."
"The only way to defeat Ganondorf is with the Master Sword!"
"The who with the what? You mean I'm supposed to follow those stupid faerie tales?"
"They're not just stories!" Bry shouted, "What kind of sorry excuse for the Hero are you?"

Zelos snorted in contained laughter. In HIS world, there WERE no fairy tales; everything told to children was all true.
Well, wait... except the attitude towards half-elves. And the truth about Expsheres. And the angels in general.
Zelos shrugged, not thinking too far into it. "Okay, so..." He faced Bry. "You got the Master Sword on you, then? Orrrr what?"

The laughter was merited with a glare from both Link and Bry. Had her aura not been as up as it was, the similarity would have been comical. Bry scrunched up her face and looked away, crossing her arms and dropping about an inch down in response to Zelos' comment.
"That... I don't even know if it's in this world. And then there's the matter of the Princess... it's likely Ganondorf will seek her out."
"Why do you keep mentioning that name?" Link said, his voice very irritated, "And if that damn thing isn't in this 'world', what the hell am I supposed to do!? Just let that asshole kill Akhar?"
Bry stopped cold and spoke with venom, "What did you just say about Sheik?"

"Well, I mean, come ON." Even Zelos was starting to have sympathy for Link. This stuff WAS kinda confusing, and he was getting tired of this run-around. "Zelda and Ganondorf? Whatever. Master Sword? Great!" He gestured wildly to the scene before them. "But what do we do to stop THIS mess right NOW?"

Bry's aura concealed her to her original visibility. She now looked like nothing more than a soft blue orb with dragonfly wings. She looked towards to where Zelos had indicated and spun back towards the red haired man, the motion visible only by the movement of the wings. There was a loud sound like a bell as she angrily spoke.
"Shek could fix this, but thanks to his," the tip of Bry's finger pointing at Link would be visible if Zelos squinted, "incompentency, there's nothing that can be done!"
She whirled towards Link, "What happened to Sheik is your fault! And you're more concerned about the boy whose destiny is to try and kill you! And you don't have any idea how long he tried to hold that back, did you! This all comes down to your stupidity!"
"What the hell!? This isn't my fault you glorified bug!"
"Not your fault!? If you had even an ounce of skill, Sheik wouldn't have had to protect you so much! And who was it that's been torturing that poor boy for over a year!?"

"Whoa, wait, hey, back up just a sec!" Zelos was gradually becoming more aggrevated with this fairy's accusations far more than he had been with Link. "Isn't that a little much? The kid's a punk, yeah, I'm with you a hundred percent on that, but can you blame him for not knowing anything when the first time you decide to drag him into this is right NOW? With his somewhat-buddy all possessed?" He huffed. "At least people told ME I was the Chosen BEFORE the shit hit the fan."

Bry was pissed at this point and jangling like a christmas bell. She flew up into Zelos' face and gave him a rather firm poke right between the eyes. She probably caused him to go cross-eyed to, and her glow wasn't pale. She was agile enough to fly out of the way of any swat he tried to give her, though.
"Somewhat buddy?! This jerk has been bullying that kid for a year! Snatching his book from him, pulling pranks on him, and just generally being an asshole! And for your information we didn't tell him because we didn't want him caught up in this! Does he look like a hero to you?!"
"H-hey, if he wasn't such a wimp I wouldn't have to try to beat some balls into him!" Link shouted at Bry's continued point making, "And doesn't that mean this mess is your fault?!"

"OW~!" Zelos swatted at air at the fairy indiginance, grumbling. Really, now, that was uncalled for.
"Look, it seems to me like this all stems from tragic miscommunication," he tried to wrap up, so they could FINALLY get to back to NOW. "So how about we put the blame game on hold for a minute and figure out. What to do. RIGHT NOW. Okay?"

Bry flew up into the air as Zelos swatted at her, nimbly dodging his swat. She didn't come back down to a height either he or Link could reach. The twist of her wings indicated she had turned towards Link.
"You have to find the Master Sword, but I don't have the slightest clue how you're supposed to do that in a whole other world. And I'm supposed to guard Sheik, not some poor excuse for a Hero," Bry flew a bit higher into the air, towards the open roof of the springs. She turned towards Zelos, "If you're so convinced this guy can save the world, you train him. I have to try and figure out this mess he's gotten us into. And don't fight that guy if you run into him! Only the Master Sword can defeat Ganondorf!"
"Hey wait, where the hell do you think you're going?! HEY!"
Bry didn't listen to Link, and the pale blue winged orb was gone from site in a few seconds. Link scowled and looked back towards Zelos. Well, the guy didn't seem to be ripping him a new one over teasing Akhar. Really though, how many book nerds turned into psychotic magic users? He'd like to hear just one example, really.
"I don't want anything to do with this," he grumbled, "But I can't just leave that guy out there."

Zelos crossed his arms. "Really. So NOW that he's in trouble he's suddenly your chum?"
He sighed in frustration. This guy was having a worse Heroic BSOD than Lloyd had when he discovered the identity of his father. Couldn't blame him, but at least he got off his butt and kept going instead of mope about it like THIS brat.
"Look, either way, couldya quit feeling sorry for yourself?" he groaned. "No one cares if you WANT to get involved or not. You should feel lucky; in my world, your kind would be severely punished for disobeying the rules set out for 'em. And you're lucky that I'm not the one who MADE those rules."
