Sain noted, with a little added interest, the new nubs of teeth. This was shaping up to be an interesting relationship already.
"The woods are a peaceful place," he agreed. And he added, "My lance is in a... what was it called. Storage locker I was able to purchase in the city. It will be safe until I get it." He smiled assuredly at her. "However you want to get there, we can use."

She grinned again, before sealing her lips back into a slight smile.
"Shall we walk, then? It's such a beautiful day."
(should it end here, or continue a bit?)

(I think continue a bit so they can talk some)
Sain offered his hand for Namia to take. "A walk would be most delightful," he said warmly.

(got it.)
Namia grasped his hand gently, walking along the greenery. Among bonsais growing in the area, and the occasional bird resting for a bit, they were in a serene land, reminescent of ancient Japan. Although, despite this, Namia seemed a bit troubled by something.
"Sain," she began. "it's only fair to warn you, but, do you remember what delivered that letter to you before? It's called an imp, and he's not the only one living in my house..." A sigh. "Although, if you forget they're monsters, they're really just children. small, cute, begging for attention."

The green-adorned knight observed the scenery, ever-aware of the hand clasped in his, and more importantly, the hand's owner. He gently rubbed the back of Namia's hand with his thumb.
He could sense her trouble even before she began speaking.
"Children..." Sain looked off to the distance, as if seeing two long-since-departed friends. "Namia. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and the war I fought in."
He took a deep breath.
"While I was in Caelin, a territory in Lycia, with my lady, Lyndis, an old friend of ours showed up just in time to help us out of a major jam. We were under siege, and Lord Eliwood of Pherae came to our aid. Lyndis decided to help Eliwood find his father, so we went with them. Along the way we met a boy and his beautiful sister. She had ice-blue hair and red eyes and the softest face. "It turned out, they were dragons, who had come back to Elibe to see the land one more time, and were tormented by a man who wanted to use them for his own nefarious purposes. The dragons were peaceful, but because Ninian and Nils were different, they couldn't find peace. But our group never judged them, even when their secret came out. "I've worked with what some would call monsters, and I try never to see the bad in someone unless they have done harm. "And I work well with children, too~" he finally finished.

Namia's eyes widened as he told the tale. Not because she was acting young, because it was instinct. A tear tried to well up, until she put a finger to her eye and killed it. He even made her smile a bit with what he'd said.
He works great with children, that made her glad.
"That... brings more joy to me than you'll ever believe, Sain. It truly does." Once again, she seemed troubled by something, an event happening prior to her getting here, involving a fallen angel. but she shrugged it off, not wanting to worry her new room-mate.
As she came closer and even hugged his arm, something of a light green coloration seemed to be flying closer to them. long, jester like ears, wings, a white face and limited apendages, coupled with a humanoid body. An imp.
"Miss Namia! Master Sain! I found you at last!"

Sain wrapped his free arm around Namia, holding her closer to his body, enjoying the feeling of her against him.
He looked up to the imp hailing them.
"Oh, hello!" he said enthusiastically. "We were lost?"

He put a finger to his face and tilted, still airborn. "Um, no... but it's been quite the while since you were sent off."
"Maybe you should've went home?" Namia gave a puzzled glance.
"Well... I guess so... Sorry if i bothered you!"
Just as he was about to turn and leave, Namia raised her voice. "Wait, tell the others to expect a new family member. Will you?"
His nearly black eyes seemed confused. "What? but there's no-one with you except that man, and- Oooohhh... I'll be sure to tell them!"
Namia's hands went closer, the hug reaching his side. "Thank you. Sain, do you have anything to add?"

He listened to the exchange, and returned Namia's movements to close the hug.
"Just that I hope to be a fine addition to this extended family," he said, smiling uncontrollably.

With a grin, the imp went skyward and dashed off, a small trail left behind.
"Alone again at last..." Namia put her head against Sain, seeming to relax. She was tired, by many extents, due to the long walk there in the first place. The walking needed improvision.
"Sain, may i ride piggy back? I think I hurt something on the way here," asked a weakening Namia, close to tipping over. She could still walk, but it was hard when you had such a teeny body.

Sain watched the imp depart, then became aware of Namia's exhaustion.
"Oh, of course, Namia," he said, gently lifting her and mounting her on his back. He held onto her legs, giving her the piggyback ride with a smile. "Is that good?" he asked her, looking back to her.

Namia relaxed on his back, holding on to the best of her ability. "Mmhmm, it's good. Thank you..." She drifted off, nuzzling his back with a sweet embrace. "Your hair... so nice..."
She was drifting asleep, holding onto him gingerly. Maybe, just maybe, being so young had its upsides to its downsides. Her current embrace was proving it.

Sain focused on the warmth of the little girl on his back, the steady beating of her heart, her smell, her softness, everything about her.
It all felt right.
Sain continued walking, walking until Namia woke up, to tell them where to go next.
(and now we can change threads)
