Note: Part of his history is blacked out for a meaning. I ask that anyone using the black "Dimensional Clash" skin not highlight it as it contains major spoilers. The rest should give you enough hints anyways.

Physical Description: Zeus is a rather tall Manectric, and it shows rather noticeably. He's quite muscular as well, it shows up best on his chest and shoulders. His blue fur is a darker shade than usual, and may appear as black, and his yellow fur has sometimes been mistaken for white in the right lightning conditions. He has dark brown eyes, and his face is usually in a kind and understanding smile. He usually wears a red "Sneak Scarf" that silences his footsteps and allows for easier movements. On his snout is a scar vaguely resembling an X, and it is connected to his past.
Weapons: His claws, tail, teeth, you get the deal.
Abilities/Powers: His attacks;
*Crunch- A vicious biting attack.
*Flamethrower- Releasing a stream of flames.
*Thunder Wave- A weak jolt of electricity is launched to induce paralysis.
*Thunder- Summoning a giant bolt of electricity to attack.
*Quick Attack- A fast ramming attack.
*Substitute- Creating a decoy of himself to distract opponents.
*Strength- Throwing a "punch" at full power.
*Howl- A howl to raise the spirit and slightly increase physical power.
*Roar- A loud roar that could possibly scare away a competitor.
In a storm, Zeus tends to attract thunderbolts. They are drawn to him instead of other targets, and this also works on electric attacks! This is how his "Lightningrod" ability manifests itself.
Skills: Zeus is a born leader. He has a charisma to him that gathers people of all types, and the strength to make even the most ragtag groups work. As a banished king, he also knows how to lead, firmly and yet kindly.
However, as the island he used to rule dictated a "kill or be killed" outlook, Zeus is also a powerful fighter. While he will usually try to end a fight swift and painlessly for his opponent, if he should draw blood, he will revert to a wild and brutal state until his opponent dies.
Zeus is also cunning. He knows how peoples' minds work, and will not hesitate to use them to his advantage. While not to the extent of Skar, he will use people to get what he wants, in this case, reclaiming his lost kingdom.
Personality: Zeus is a generally friendly guy. He makes a conscious effort to be that way, and it shows. He doesn't try to make enemies, but instead allies or at least neutral alliances. He is generally a kind and gentle type that tries to be an equal opportunist.
However, under that gentle exterior is a chessmaster. He manipulates people without them being aware, for his vision's success. He is, in a way, a heroic counterpart to Skar.
Those that have first seen Zeus' more ruthless side are shocked at the gentleness he can display. This is especially so around the very young and helpless, he will let himself be used as a plaything or a cane if it means their happiness or health.
He is haunted by the memories of his past, and will generally freeze up if you ask him about it. He doesn't like to talk much about it, and after snapping out of his lock-up, will give the questioner the silent treatment.
History: Zeus' egg was laid to a pair of Manectric, and he was an unexpected laying. His parents didn't want him, but they didn't want the authorities to press charges on them for murdering a newborn. So, they did what was typical of what happened in the case of unwanted children- they abandoned his egg at the foot of Boneyard Island, and turned away. When he hatched, he was all alone without the support of a family.
He realized, even with his young mind, that he had to fight his way up the ranks to survive. His first year to his tenth was spent fighting his way up, and he developed a taste for blood. He thrived on it, and would often seek out Pokemon just so he could get a taste of that red life-giving fluid. However, in his eleventh year, he hit a turning point.
He attacked a pregnant Blastoise whose mate had been killed by a rival for her affections, and despite being smaller and weaker, he was a vicious little creature motivated by blood. He attacked her in the stomach, tearing away at her exterior, and biting his way into her internal structure. However, he saw something in there... a developing baby, whom thanks to him, would never be born. But that wasn't what caught his attention.
He turned around, and saw a very young Squirtle, no older than four... the son of the woman whom he had just murdered in cold blood. The darkness around his heart started to dissipate as he looked at the boy's horrified, tear-filled face. He started to realized, what had he done? But... he couldn't let the kid remember this. He swatted at the boy's face, intending to deliver a mercy kill. However, the Squirtle was fast, and he only succeeded in landing a clean blow over one of his eyes. As he watched the young Pokemon run away, he figured he was as good as dead, and set out to reform himself... but glancing at the barren landscape, he realized that this land needed to heal.
He decided to take himself up to the task, building up strength to take down the current king of Boneyard Island, and take over himself. He spent the next five years fighting amongst the other Boneyarders, evolving at the young age of sixteen, and had pretty much forced many of his defeated enemies to fight for him. At the age of seventeen, he charged the castle of Boneyard Island with his small army, and as they distracted the king's legions, he took the fight to the king himself. The king, an Empoleon, would not go down so easily. The fight was brutal, and ended when Zeus had to use a combination of Substitute and Thunder to lure him off-guard and strike with a might attack.
Standing on the old king's corpse, he snatched the crown made from the bones of the previous kings, and shattered the Empoleon's skull. He added part of his skull to the crown, and wore it himself. With the right of kingship on his head, he ascended the highest cliff and roared out his dominance throughout the realm. He realized he needed a name, and decided he would be remembered as King Zeus.
Zeus set out on reforming the land. With the aid of Grass-type Pokemon, he ordered that seeds be planted throughout the island, and tended to, hoping that one day, the grass would sprout and once again cover the island in green. However, he found himself sidetracked.
He happened to be scouting the castle grounds, when he spotted a female Linoone hanging from the cliffs that led down to a pit of especially spiky bones. Zeus was taken by her plight, and jumped to her rescue. He grabbed her arm in his jaw just as she lost her grip. Upon pulling her back up, he was... absolutely taken by her beauty. Calling her the "Rose in the Graveyard", he proposed marriage to her. She was at first taken back by this sudden proposal, but feeling an attraction to her, accepted. Cliche as it was, the two were happily married. King Zeus, only eighteen at the time, was now married to Queen Hera.
That happiness was only to last for two years. Hera was nearing the hour of her delivery, and Zeus was preparing the birthing chamber, when a pounding sound was heard at the castle, followed by a loud bang. The Manectric jumped to action to attack the intruder and defend his castle. Instead of one attacker, he found the corpses of his loyal followers... and an army of Pokemon. His courage died, as he ran back to the birthing chamber, in hopes of helping his wife escape undetected. But that was not to be.
Hera was currently being held down by the leader of the army attacking his castle, as she struggled against her attacker's iron grip. In the dim light, Zeus could barely make out the silhouette of the offender, but it looked like a large turtle. Hera, illuminated by candlelight, could only call out her husband's name, and while Zeus tried to reach her, he was blasted into a wall by a massive water blast. He couldn't help her.
The turtle Pokemon's claws slashed into Hera's pregnant stomach, drawing red blood and generating screams of agony. Zeus made horrified cries, but was silenced with another water attack. The attacker didn't stop. He tore deep into Hera, and with a sickening sound, tore out her developing baby, and showed it to her... and to Zeus. Zeus couldn't take it... he broke down sobbing. Through his tears, he saw the attacker step into the light... It was a rather large Blastoise, with an eyepatch. It struck him... this was the son of the woman he had killed all those years ago, out for revenge.
Zeus fell quickly, surrendering so that Hera's corpse would not be further violated. He was then quite literally dragged down, where the remains of his once-great army greeted him by pelting him with rocks. The Blastoise, who was apparently named Daryan and clearly the leader of the army, decided that death would be too merciful for him, and chose to banish him. The army roared in agreement. On the day that was to be the start of Zeus' exile, the army's leader slashed at his snout not once, but twice. It created twin gashes in the shape of an X, and it would eventually leave a scar. When he was shifted away, he was twenty years old.
He was knocked out cold, and upon smashing his way out of the 'boat', discovered that he was no longer in the Shimmer Island chain... he was on the mainland. From what he heard from the local Pokemon, he was in a region known as 'Johto'. He would have been content to just drown himself in the nearest body of water, had he not seen other Pokemon that also shared strange coloring- a Chikorita that changed colors, an orange Gastly, a white Magikarp, a brownish Vulpix plus a tiny Spearow. He figured he might as well watch them, he had nothing else left.
However, he noticed that they had suddenly disappeared, and as he went to follow them, he spotted a Skarmory with a wooden leg tending to her bleeding eye socket. The five Pokemon he was watching were eventually found, in what looked like a park. This went on for two years, until the Magikarp- whom he found out was named Flip- evolved into a Gyarados, as the fiv3 left to find a larger living space. Using darkness for cover, he once again followed after them. However, what he didn't take notice of was that a Scyther had followed him.
Shortly after he arrived in the shadows, the Scyther attacked the Gastly- whom he found out was named Pepsci- wanting revenge for a prank he had pulled on her. Though Zeus wanted to step in, part of him told him to hold back, and that part was right, as the Chikorita- named Leafslash-, the Spearow- named Hawk-, the Vulpix- named Violet- and Flip jumped in to protect Pepsci. The Scyther knew she was beat, and surrendered, and surprisingly, Leafslash asked for her name and for her to join them. Carol, the Scyther, was squally surprised but accepted.
Two years after that, when Zeus was twenty-five, he watched as a Skarmory attacked Leafslash in the dead of night. The wooden leg told him one thing- this was the same one he had seen all these years ago! She nearly poked out one of the Chikorita's eyes, and Zeus realized he had to do something. From the bushes, he lashed out at the metal bird with Thunder, forcing her to flee. Leafslash rallied the others, and told them to change their names, and that they had to run away. Pepsci became Hades, Hawk became Hermes, Flip became Poseidon, Violet became Aries, and Leafslash became Apollo. Carol wasn't seen, and thus didn't change her name. When these six left, Zeus followed.
It was a two-year journey, that saw Apollo and Hades evolving into a Bayleef and Haunter, respectively. Zeus kept a careful eye on them, making sure he was unseen, and yet close enough to protect them should the need arise. Eventually, after all that running around, they settled down in what was called the Hoenn region, close to the sea. When they had settled down and built a base, Zeus appeared to the team. Mistaking him for an enemy, they attacked him, resulting in a series of "yeows". He eventually was able to say he came in peace, and Apollo realized Zeus as the one who drove off the Skarmory with that Thunder attack. He told the rest of the team, Team Mythos as they were called, that he was safe, and let Zeus onto the team.
It was a cold winter night, when the team was bundled up together for warmth in their base, when there was a massive earthquake. The ground below them started to sink into portals, and one by one, all seven of them were swallowed up, and spit out onto the Dimensional Island.
Other: He speaks with a Texan accent for some reason he doesn't know. The Island's auto-translate feature works on him.
