All was silent a moment; Yin looking to her brother with a stare that was every bit as pleading as Double D's. "Brother... Please." Regardless, she seemed all for it.
Finally, after another few seconds, Yang sighed. "Very well... I shall go and get the sword you need now." With that being said, Yang turned from the gang and walked further into the treasure room, though not too far to escape the gang's eye-sight.
Helga nodded, smiling widely. "This is good. Now Gantz can be saved!" She looked to the said man, noticing him looking at his own hand. "Gantz-san, are you alright?"
It took a moment for him to register what Helga said, but he turned to her quickly when she did. "Yeah, I'll be fine, no need to worry." In truth, the numbness, as he noticed, hadn't left his right hand since it had started not too long ago. However, given that this problem was going to be solved in just a few seconds, there was really no need to worry everyone else.
Misty appeared to finally calm down when Yang went to look for the sword. "Okay, so we're in the clear." She turned to look at Gantz with a stern glare. "But don't think for an INSTANT that I'm done with you, kid. As soon as all of this is said and done, I"m teaching you a lesson." Gantz only chuckled nervously, knowing Misty wouldn't be afraid to follow through with that promise. "Just be thankful that we have a sword coming now."
"Wait..."
That single comment alone caught the attention of everyone present.
"................................ No... Where..?!"
In that brief instant, Yang suddenly moved from his spot and was frantically checking all of the shelves. "Where is it?! WHERE?!?!?"
Yin was frightened at this, "Brother!! What's wrong?!"
Yang finally appeared to stop after checking a few more shelves. After a moment, he finally turned to the others. "The... The sword... The only sword in our collection that could house Soul Calibur's soul... ... ... It's... It's GONE!!!!!!!!!"
..........................................................
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" It was in that moment that Gantz, of ALL people, FREAKED. "WHA-WHADAYA MEAN IT'S GONE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"
[This is where the Boss character I originally had in mind will come into play, though she's going to appear in my next post.]

Kyle looked relieved for a moment as Yang agreed to go get the sword. The relief left as Kyle heard a bit of dark laughter in the back of his head. It didn't matter if Gantz got that sword anyways. Oni would still kill them. It would be a bad idea for him to make friends. He'd tried before. He'd tried. Oni had determined them to be "threats" and "eliminated" them.
However, when Yang announced that the only sword capable of holding Soul Calibur's spirit was gone, Kyle looked panicked. "What?!"
"Oh, come on!" De'marcus cried. "You've only got one sword that can hold her out of an entire collection of blades!? Mr. Yang, you just lost every cool point you earned over the past ten minutes."
"But where did it go!?" Waddle Dee asked.
"Someone probably stole it. Some little rat who doesn't know her place," De'Marcus growled.
"Her?"
"Yeah. Pretty sure it's a her."
"Pretty specific guess," Waddle Dee said.

"W-what!?! No!!" Double D's hands shot up to cover his mouth in dread. How could this have happened!? Why now?? Of all times!!
"W-we-we have to find whoever took it!! Right away!" he grew flustered, typically, losing his cool as he shook Gantz a little back and forth. "You're running out of TIME, Gantz!!"

Yang growled at De’Marcus after hearing what he said. “If you MUST know you impudent rodent, any sword could hold Soul Calibur’s spirit, the real problem is HOW LONG the sword can do the job. Most of the swords here, would likely be able to hold Soul Calibur, but given that so many of them are ancient, they wouldn’t hlold her long. The sword I had in mind was the only one in this whole temple that would’ve been able to hold onto the soul indefinitely.”
Gantz wrenched himself out of Double D’s grip, not needing a reminder. “Don’t you think I know that, Double D?!” He turned to Yang, trying to regain his cool, but failing all the while. “When was the last time you saw it?!”
Yang shook his head. “It wasn’t anymore then 5 minutes ago that I saw the sword right there…” He pointed to the first podium he had checked for the sword. “I can’t imagine how someone could’ve gotten in here to steal it…”
Tarosuke was off like a shot, hearing that. Carefully he examined the podium, hoping to find some kind of clue. “Hmmm… Just give me a second… Maybe I can find something.”
“Oh don’t bother, if your searching for the theif, and put on a show, Especially if the thief is here in person, Ohohohohohohoho!”
……………………………………………..
………………………………………………
……………………………………………….
Everyone slowly turned to the door of the treasure room.
Standing at the opened door was a familiar person to Gantz, standing at about as tall as a few members of the gang’s knees, with light skin, brownish blonde hair, and wearing mages robes.
And on Shantotto’s back was what appeared to be a sword, even though there was a rod in her hand, clearly marking that a sword wasn’t her best weapon.
“Y-You!!!!!” Gantz was clearly surprised.
“Now, now, why so surprised Gaz? Surely you knew you’d be running into me again, It was all a matter of where, as well as a matter of when.”
She pat the sword that was hanging from a sheath on her back.
From where they stood, the others were clearly confused. “Who the hell is this?” Otto asked, eyebrow raised.
“I don’t know.” Came the response from Wally. “But whoever she is, she’s got the sword!!”
Choosing this time to react, Gantz walked up, glaring down at the Tarutaru… “Shantotto… This is NOT FUNNY… Give me the sword, NOW.”
The Tarutaru woman merely wagged her index finger at that.
“Hup-up-up! In good time, however I’m afraid if you want this sword, you must take a special course, For you see, I do not plan on giving you the sword before then, whether by asking or force.”
She grinned a little to herself, looking quite full of herself… But Gantz himself knew; Shantotto could more then hold her own in a fight.
“To gain this sword, Gaz, you must beat me in a duel, a challenge between myself and you, Bring your friends if you want though, maybe it will be easy fighting with a whole crew. Of course, with all of them here, perhaps this lesson won’t be so droll and outdone, But of course, whether they join in matters not-…”
The grin turned into something bloodthirsty.
“ because this should be FUN.”
She took off running.
“Let’s move this to a wider area shall we? No need to sacrifice treasure in our spree!”
“WAIT; SHANTOTTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Gantz growled angrily at this, before looking to the others. “Guys, if your coming with me, be careful! Shantotto is a HELL of a lot more powerful then she looks!”

"You still lost every cool point you earned. Man, has no one ever heard of making spares?" De'marcus grumbled. "And hedgehogs aren't rodents, dickwad."
De'marcus watched silently, up until when Shantotto appeared and subsequently made a run for it while taunting Gantz. De'marcus ground his teeth before firing up' his body glowing yellow like a super saijan.
"GET BACK HERE YOU TARUTARU BIIIIIITCH!" De'marcus grabbed Mr. Orange and started flying after Shantotto. No one questioned how he knew what a Tarutaru was. After all, even hedgehogs could play video games.
...Ha, didn't make a Sonic joke this--
At that moment, the Narrator was kicked in the face by De'Marcus.
"ENOUGH! IT ISN'T FUNNY!" De'marcus yelled. "Now where was I... Oh yeah. SHANTOTTO!"
"Di...did I just see that hedgehog go super saijan and then kick a girl wearing a shark on her head in the face?" Kyle asked. Waddle Dee shrugged.
"I've seen weirder," Waddle Dee said before running after Shantotto himself.

Double D sighed. "You get used to it after a while in this chaotic world."
Watching the others following behind Gantz, he took a moment to regain his composure. Okay. At least they knew where the sword was. Panicking was doing no one any good. And he felt a little chagrined in retrospect; he didn't have to wig out so much and aggrevate Gantz further. Old habits die hard.
Oh well. He was about to dart off right after Gantz, but then turned back at a thought. "Erm..." Well, he still had a commitment to fulfill, didn't he? He couldn't leave that behind. "...well... would you prefer to follow or stay behind, Kyle?"

... ...
Further down the Hallway, Shantotto appeared to be jogging at a casual pace, humming the Final Fantasy 9 battle theme to herself (Not because the Final Fantasy XI lacks in good battle music but because the theme was admittably catchy). What could be noticeable however was the fact that she was now wearing a ribbon around her neck.
"Now then, now that I have their attention, and ire This lesson can begin properly… of course, to avoid the fire.”
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “GET BACK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Shantotto had easily dodged aside, and was still running at a casual pace, chuckling to herself.
“My my! What fun! And we are not even done!”
Quickly Gantz and the others appeared, De’Marcus very well leading the pack. However, Otto was quickly catching up. “CATCH HER!!! GET THAT LITTLE WHATEVER SHE IS!!!!!!!!!” He fired off a powerful beam of dark energy, which appears to find it’s mark. “HAH!” However, when the dust cleared they saw Shantotto running on all fours down the hall on the wall. “OH COME ON!!!!!!!”
“Okay… Keep coming now, young little brats! We’re almost to the lobby where you can take off your gloves and hats!”
“SHANTOTTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Gantz was now catching up at this point, having used a haste spell. “GIVE ME THAT SWORD SHANTOTTO!!!! YOU OF ALL PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW MY TIME’S RUNNING OUT!!! GIVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
[Hey FF? Go ahead and let De’Marcus or Waddle Dee catch Shantotto, I have something funny in mind, that’s going to make either one of them REALLY seethe.]

Kyle still sweatdropped. He probably should be used to this kind of stuff. After all, he'd lived here on the island his whole life. But sometimes things like that caught him off guard.
About the same time as when Double D finished his question, Kyle's eyes widened. The voice ringing in Kyle's ears was all too familiar.
Get that angel out of here.
Kyle attempted to smile. "It's okay, you can go help your friends. I don't want to be a burden..."
----------
"SHANTOTTOOOOOO!"
De'marcus was fast catching up to Shantotto. Not wanting to miss her, he grabbed Mr. Orange and kicked him at Shantotto. The impact, whether it knocked her down or slowed her down gave Waddle Dee the opening he needed to grab Shantotto and hold her back.
"We really need that sword," Waddle Dee stated.

"Are you sure?" Double D frowned, but... well, they really needed that sword! And the more people chasing after her, the better. "Well... alright."
He hastily bowed towards the two gods. "I-if you two could be so kind as to watch over Kyle while I'm gone? Thank you!" And with that, he was quickly out the doorway, hurrying to catch up with the others.

Yin nodded to Double D. “No problem at all, Angel of Light. You do what you have to do.” As Double D left, she turned to Kyle, smiling kindly.
Yang however..?
“He carries the stench of a demon on him.” He looked rather angered at that. “Is there a reason for that sister?”
----------------------------------------
Shantotto grinned at Waddle Dee...
"And unfortunately for you, my furry puffball friend, I have a lesson to teach, if alive is what you want to be in the end.”
Those words came out… But not from the mouth of the Shantotto in Waddle Dee’s grip… Everyone turned…
And saw ANOTHER Shantotto standing further down the hall.
“Do you like the bow I put on my special little doll? Put it on myself! Though you realized it not before your fall.”
When the others looked back at the Shantotto Waddle Dee just caught, there was a light poof, before it transformed into a straw doll bearing Shantotto’s image wearing a ribbon around the neck…
“Total loser!” That was all Shantotto said before quickly running off down another hall, she was growing ever closer to the lobby, where the real lesson could begin.
“SHANTOTTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Otto had zoomed ahead of the others, with Gantz right behind him. “GET BACK HERE DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Kyle looked rather uncomfortable as Yang spoke. Of course he had the stench of demon around him. Not like he could do anything about it now.
"...I'll leave, if you don't want me here..." Kyle said softly.
That goddess will just hurt you again with that Darkness Bane spell of hers if you stay, anyways. And Kyle, you seem to be forgetting that you're my puppet. So it isn't like you have a choice. So get the hell out.
------------
Waddle Dee once again twitched as he looked down at the straw doll.
"GET BACK HERE YOU WORTHLESS, FURRY, SPELLCASTING, PIECE OF DUNG MONSTER! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!"
Waddle Dee began rushing forward at a speed even faster than De'Marcus had been before. De'Marcus followed suit, moving extremely quickly to catch up.
"That bitch! Who does she think she is?!" De'Marcus yelled.

Double D knew he had lost ground already. My, were they really pushing across the temple! His bustling feet soon weren't touching the ground as his wings brought him into the air; he'd get around much faster this way.
He almost tried training his ears for sounds, any hints as to which way they could've gone... but all the furious shouting did the work for him.
The lobby, hmm? he mused. No wonder, that was where Otto and I first dueled. He found himself smiling fondly at the memory before taking a separate turn to reach the said lobby from a different hallway.

"Oh no, no-no-no-no!" Yin was quick to keep Kyle from leaving, placing a motherly hand on his shoulder "Please young man, we only wish to help you." She smiled kindly, before casting a quick glare at Yang. The god of Darkness appeared to piece together what was going on...
"Hmph..." Before snorting, and turning away. He didn't say anything beyond that.
"Please, stay, young one. You have been alone for so long." She smiled warmly still. "You don't have to be alone anymore."
---------------------------------------
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shantotto peeled out finally jumping through an archway and into the lobby of the temple, a few bursts of darkness and photons nipping at her heels. When at last she arrived, a smile came on her face.
"It's about time we arrived! Now the real fun can begin! I hope that starting exercise was good to your legs and shin!"
Shantotto, exhibiting a great amount of agility actually jumped up high, and landed atop the pulpit at the front of the room. Misty, Otto, De'Marcus, and Waddle Dee zoomed after her, and smashed the pulpit in an attempt to hit her. However the Tarutaru dodged aside nimbly.
"Class is in session! Please wait for afterwards to ask a question!"
She jumped again, upon landing. "SINGE!!" A fire spell fired out of her hand "SOAK!!!" This was followed by a water spell, forming around her target. "ZAP!!!!" And thunder immediately followed this.
It's target?
"GAH!!!!" Otto was slammed aside, after being burned, cut, and zapped almost simultaneously, but was up on his feet again quickly.
"Otto!!!!!" Misty was enraged at this, quite easily, in fact. "YOU LITTLE- RAGGGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!" She charged forward, fists reeled back.
"Off you go! Go with the flow!"
Shantotto twirled her rod, saying this before throwing it like a boomerang at Misty. The girl easily dodged.
"HAH!!!!!!"
Shantotto's grin only stayed.
WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Turns out this author had described Shantotto tossing her staff out like a boomerang for a reason. Misty was sent flying upward at the staff's return attack. Acting fast, the Tarutaru jumped up, almost looking like she just flew at zooming speeds, until she was right next to Misty.
"BURST!!"
After a second of reeling back, a reeling Misty was caught in an explosive spell that sent her rocketing into a nearby wall.
This was obviously not well recieved by the others.
"OTTO-MATE!!! Misty!!!!" Wally charged in having said that, Tarosuke did the same, firing off powerful bursts of kii energy via a Rei-Gun.

Kyle flinched away the moment Yin's hand touched his shoulder, taking a couple steps back. He still looked extremely exhausted, and it wasn't because of any fault of Yin's. Oni was draining his energy further so he could form a physical form again. He covered his shoulder with his hand, and when he pulled it back with another wince, it was covered in blood. It looked like Yin had touched his injured shoulder from before, and whatever she'd done had caused the wound to open up again... which didn't make sense, considering Gantz had healed it before when the others were fighting Oni...
That eyesore of a light goddess won't leave us alone...
The worst part was, when Kyle was this exhausted and his self control this drained, he was a lot more open to suggestions from Oni. He continued backing up until he felt his back impact with some sort of altar. He grasped around for something, while still keeping his eyes locked on Yin.
"I-I'm sorry..." Kyle said. "I just don't... like it... when people..." He trailed off and looked down at the floor with a guilty expression. He didn't know why he disliked physical contact like that. Really, he'd just be happy if people would leave him alone.
Kill her.
He finally managed to grasp his hand around something, a sort of fancy incense burner with a sharp end. He wasn't looking at Yin any differently, though his eyes had a bit of a dead look, and he wasn't moving toward her or anything. He just looked like he was terrified.
------------------
While Kyle seemed to be having a breakdown in the other room, De'Marcus and Waddle Dee were busy trying to fight Shantotto. Waddle Dee drilled his parasol forward, attempting to catch Shantotto on it, while De'Marcus, with his emmense speed, flew behind her and kicked an ultra-fast and ultra-strong Mr. Orange at her.

The closer he got to the carnage, Double D eased back to his feet, hitting the ground running down the last hallway. He rounded the corner into the lobby, and looked up.
"Did I miss anyth-GAGH!!" He jumped back as Misty made a strong imprint in the brickwork he was just standing in front of. He made a face at the destruction, then shot Shantotto a firm glare.
Well, now. An elemental sorceress, is she? Formidable, but not impossible to defeat!
He watched the coordinated attack carefully, tiny force fields forming into star shapes between his fingers. At the right moment, he threw them out, flying in between the others, the tiny theif their target.
