Full Name: Flip (lacks a last name)
Nicknames: Poseidon
Age: 18
Height: 25'5''
Weight: 708 pounds
Gender: Male
Race: Gyarados (albino)
Alliance: Lawful Neutral
Home: Johto region
Franchise: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Physical Description: Poseidon is slightly above average size for a Gyarados, though since his species is already quite large, it isn't very significant. He stands out due to his color, or rather, his lack of it. All of his scales have turned to a silver-white, and his eyes are a shade of reddish purple. This is due to his albinism. He has a black "Muscle Sash" tied to his left whisker, which slightly boosts the power of any physical attack he uses.
Weapons: His body.
Abilities/Powers: His attacks;
*Hydro Pump- Blasting a target with water launched at a high pressure.
*Bite- A simple biting attack.
*Twister- A vicious twister is launched to attack.
*Aqua Tail- Swinging his tail like it's a raging wave to attack.
*Rain Dance- Creating a short downpour in the local area.
*Thunder- Summoning a massive bolt of electricity to attack.
*Taunt- Tormenting the foe into a rage that only lets them use directly damaging moves for up to five minutes.
*Earthquake- Slamming his head into the ground to create a damaging tremor.
*Hyper Beam- A massively powerful beam of energy is launched to attack, he has to recharge after using it.
Poseidon's very presence causes some foes to be scared of him. This scares them so much, in fact, that they can't use physical attacks as well. This is how his "Intimidate" ability manifests itself.
Skills: Poseidon's knowledge of staying out of the sun is hard to match, a skill he picked up as living with albinism. He knows how long it will take somebody to fry in the sun, sometimes down to the last decimal. He claims to be good at math, which comes in handy with limited funds.
He has, to some degree, leadership skills. He is the third-in-command, though he would make a better second-in-command than Hades. Poseidon has control over his rampaging instincts, most of the time that is.
Personality: Poseidon is usually one of those calm yet stern types. He gets to the point when speaking, and doesn't like to dawdle on unnecessary things. He doesn't blow his temper easily, but when he does, there's a reason why you should stay back.
He can be a bit oblivious to some things, which has caused some trouble in the past. Usually, it's because he isn't paying attention to something he deemed "unnecessary".
History: He was born as Flip to a pair of Magikarp just south of Violet City. However, he was born with albinism, a trait that had been dormant in both his parents. His father pretty much abandoned him, and usually spent the days with his (crazy) mother recalling tales from her homeland, and many strange traditions she had (really, who organizes a holiday that makes everybody wear bikinis and speedos for a month?). His mother was caught by a passing trainer when he was two, and decided that the rest of his life would be spent alone.
Or at least, he thought he would be. It turns out on the surface there was another young, parentless Pokemon. It was a Spearow about a year younger than he was, who was abnormally tiny and called himself Hawk. The two felt a bond due to their shared histories in spite of their very young ages, and hit off a friendship right away.
It was a quiet life until he was seven years old. He awoke to the sound of Hawk talking to somebody very young. Splashing up to the surface, he saw Hawk talking to an orange Gastly that couldn't have been more than a few months old. He had been named Pepsci, which caused Flip to sigh. He did accept the young ghost, though.
He awoke one morning two years later to Hawk screaming, and the smell of something roasting. It turns out Hawk had just startled a young Vulpix, who didn't have a family. Flip welcomed her to the "family", and that was the end of that. Her name? Violet.
Two years later, Flip awoke to the yelps of Violet and Pepsci. He quickly found out that they had a severely wounded Chikorita a bit older than Violet, and he set off to splashing up water to try and revive the Chikorita. Eventually, with the aid of herbs Hawk found, and the water he splashed up, the Chikorita eventually woke up, and said his name was Leafslash. Leafslash figured that he owed them, and decided to stay with them to try and pay off those debts.
That lasted only one year. He was only twelve when he heard news of a gang of Pokemon lead by a Skarmory was passing through the area, and wouldn't take well to anyone who got in their way. While Flip fled the area (carried by Jawk(, he soon noticed Leafslash was missing. Violet left, and returned with a fainted and injured Leafslash. She said that the Skarmory had a wooden leg, and was stunned from an eye injury. Hawk decided that the best place would be somewhere else.
He led the small group to a park, where Leafslash finally woke up. Flip explained that their home was completely devastated, and that they had to run. This was the closest area that could support all of them, so it had to do. Leafslash decided they would be safer if they were closer, and thus, came the birth of Team Mythos.
Two years went by, and by now Flip had evolved into a Gyarados... meaning they had to find a larger place to support the newly-evolved sea serpent. Leaving under the cover of the night, they failed to notice a Scyther following them. They settled down near the Lake of Rage, more than big enough to support Flip. They thought they had seen enough for one lifetime.
But alas, that same Scyther just had to appear, wanting revenge for a prank Pepsci had pulled on her a while back. While she tried to fight the Gastly alone, the team, led by Leafslash, declared that if she wanted to hurt one of them, she'd have to hurt them all. She knew she was beat, and surrendered. Leafslash, to everybody's surprise, forgave her, and asked her to stay. This Scyther, named Carol, was equally surprised, but decided she had nothing better to do.
Flip suddenly awoke to a Thunder attack crashing down, and to a shocked Leafslash. He explained that they had to run away, and to change their names for safety. Pepsci, now eight, was now Hades; Flip, now fifteen, became Poseidon; Hawk, now fourteen, was now Hermes; Carol refused to change her name because he had not been seen; and Leafslash became Apollo. Violet, who was ten at the time, changed her name to Aries.
After two years of running around, the team settled down in the Hoenn region, close to the sea. On this long journey, Apollo had evolved into a Bayleef, and Hades into a Haunter. Just as they were settled down and built a base, they noticed a Manectric appear before them, this one looking almost black and white, and quite muscular. Expecting another attack, they made a preemptive strike on him. After a series of "yeows", he eventually said he came in peace, and that he was named Zeus. He offered himself to the team. Apollo realized that this had to be the one that saved him from the Skarmory two years ago, and telling the team that he was a friend, accepted Zeus onto the team.
It was a cold winter night, when the team was bundled up together for warmth in their base, when there was a massive earthquake. The ground below them started to sink into portals, and one by one, all seven of them were swallowed up, and spit out onto the Dimensional Island.
Other: Due to his albinism, he will generally try to stay in the shade or a nearby body of water to avoid the sun's rays, and if he is forced to be in the sun, he will make sure to keep his body moist. He can't see that well, and usually has to rely on Hermes as his "eyes" in a way.
The Island's auto-translate feature works on him.
