Seth blinked as Atsuro told him he'd stay in the room. He'd intended on sleeping in the room. He had a few ideas how to set it up so he could be aware if someone tried to take the Items. Atsuro had probably been asleep most of the day, though. He'd be able to stay up. He would have conceded the point to Atsuro except for one hitch. Abel had asked him to watch the Items.
"I'm not leaving the room," Seth said. He leaned back and put his hands on the bed. It was more like he'd caught himself from collapsing backwards onto it, though, "If you're willing to stay to keep watch, I won't stop you. It's better than any ideas I had. But His Majesty asked me to watch the Items. I need to stay near them."

"Alright," Atsuro said. Abel would likely get mad if Seth wasn't at least in the room. If he could stave off some kind of punishment, that would be best. Plus, the Items would still be being watched after.
Atsuro glanced back toward the window. He needed to block that up with something. It was too cold to leave the window open like that. After a moment, he decided to push a chair in front of it and sit down in the chair. This would give him a good enough view of the rest of the room and block up the hole.

Seth's only response to Atsuro's agreement was to pull up his hands and collapse onto the bed. He lay there the entire time the other teenager was moving the chair, his eyes closed. It was about the time Atsuro sat down that Seth managed to pull his legs up and roll on his side. It looked like he was asleep before he was even done rolling.
Atsuro probably got his first chance to really look at him at this point. Blood had smeared onto his side, and the haori was angle in such a way due to the roll that the lower half of Seth's upper body could be seen. His black pants reflected in the light well enough to show two distinct "shades" due to the blood. In a few places, the blood wasn't dry but gelled from clotting, and there was quite a few smeared spots on the pale sheets. He really was a complete mess.
