Minato looked rather smug the expression of surprise crossed Adil's face. And now that guy seemed to get it. Took him long enough. So it had turned out to be the opposite of what they'd thought. Adil wasn't hitting on Anzu, Anzu was hitting on Adil! Souji managed to catch it as well, as did Naoto, but neither of them had any visible reaction.
As Anzu looked toward them again, Minato still looked rather smug. He put his menu down and smirked. "Y'know, Anzu, if you're that desperate, I'm open any time."
Souji facepalmed.
"Well, that was rather... forward," Naoto commented.
Atsuro blinked. Wait, did Minato just say what he thought he did? With Ryoji right there? Jeez... guy had no shame.

(OOC: Edited in cause I forgot to have Yuugi use his honorific for Minato. I considered leaving it out, but Yuugi's too polite to forget that in shock/anger. XD Besides, with how its standard in Japan would be rather like us dropping half a friend's name. XD)
One could almost feel the surprise that passed through most of the table at Minato's comment. Jounouchi looked impressed and Honda was now digging a pinkie into his ear and making a point of not looking at Anzu. He was looking at Minato, and it seemed he wasn't sure he'd even heard the blue haired teenager right. Ryoji blinked and looked at Minato as Anzu's face lit up like a Christmas tree. Never mind that Ryoji had pretty much done the same thing with Anzu after he'd come back. Less blatent, but it had been right in front of Minato and pretty clear to anyone who'd ever met him.
"H-h-hey that wasn't necessary! I mean, you... and he..."Anzu began gesturing towards Ryoji. She wasn't forming words very well and even her gestures seemed a bit messy, "A-and I'm just going out for a soda or something! I mean, not out, but... I mean..."
"Minato-kun!" Is all Yuugi managed to say. Just because they weren't dating didn't mean every guy she ran into needed to hit on her!
Atem was saying nothing. He'd quietly picked up a menu again and opened it back up. The decision to have multiple partners had largely been left up to the individual in his original time. As heir and Pharaoh, it had been a little less of a choice for him than most, but there had still been a clear division between "concubine" and "wife". Even among the wives one took precedence. In any case, he was staying out of this until someone dragged him into it.
Teddie's input probably caught the most attention, and came in direct response to Minato's comment. He'd lifted a hand into the air and said with a huge grin, "Me too! Me too!"

Minato only continued to grin as Anzu stuttered and Yuugi yelled his name. Well, hell, he'd said it right in front of Ryoji and he hadn't seemed to have minded, so in Minato's opinion, that made Anzu fair game. He hadn't just dated all of those girls 'cause of Social Links or something like that, after all.
"...Is he always like this?" Atsuro asked Kanji.
"Don't ask me, I don't hang around with these guys most of the time," Kanji said.
When Teddie showed his support for Minato's suggestion, Souji spoke up first. "Absolutely not! I told you before we got here you weren't allowed to hit on the maids and I meant it."
"Go for it, Teddie," Minato said.

Ryoji actually hadn't objected to Minato because he was... well, he was in a form of shock. Calling it a BSOD seemed a bit strong, but the words weren't exactly forthcoming. Actually, a big part of it was because he couldn't really fault the guy. He'd hit on her shortly after coming back.. and that was the problem. Yuugi looked very annoyed and Atem remained concealed behind his menu. Teddie was looking between Souji and Minato, seemingly at a loss at what to do. Anzu was still trying to find words and looked like she was beginning to get angry. Jounouchi was trying not to snicker, and Honda was trying to grab a menu to mimic Atem.
The corner of Ryoji's mouth curled up in a grin that was pure mischief. If Minato was going to grab his ear just because he flirted a little... He was still looking at Minato, who had probably caught his expression shift just a second earlier. What happened next basically amounted to Ryoji grabbing Minato's mp3 player and yanking him into a kiss. The tittering came to a rather abrupt stop at the... unexpected turn of events. It was quite possible the action had broken at least some of the group's brains.

Whatever conversation there was rather abruptly stopped as Minato found himself rather abruptly pulled into a kiss by his mp3 player. He didn't struggle against it, and pulled away after a moment. "I guess I had that one coming."
As for the brains of the group breaking, that had gone as expected. Atsuro in particular was staring at the two. "Did... he just do what I think he did?"
Souji finally did what he looked like he was going to do for a long time. His forehead hit the table and he gave a defeated groan.
"...While I have no problem with you two's relationship, I would prefer if you didn't do that," Naoto stated. She had a hand on her head in what could only be described as a facepalm.

Honda had dropped the menu he'd just managed to pick up. Jounouchi looked rather pale as well as looking as if he had swallowed something less than pleasant. Anzu's mouth hung open and the grip she had on the pencil loosened enough it seemed hard to believe she hadn't dropped it. Atem was blinking at the two, words not exactly forthcoming. Yuugi looked very uncomfortable. Teddie just looked confused at the varied however similar reactions.
Ryoji hadn't prevented Minato from pulling back, removing his hand from the cord of the mp3 player. He gave a smirk at Minato's comment, "And that's for yanking on my ear earlier."
"Um..." Anzu said. Her grip tightened on the pencil again and she looked at the notepad, "Uh... orders?"
"Was that..." Jounouchi was grimacing. He still looked mildly ill, "Entirely necessary...?"

Souji stood up as Anzu finally managed to ask for their orders. He was already taking steps away from the table as he spoke. "Could you take mine later? I'm going to go vomit."
Minato turned around in his seat to look toward Souji as he walked away. "Oh come on! Like you and Izanami are any better!"
"We haven't even been on a date yet!" Souji yelled and continued on to the bathroom. Minato frowned once Souji was out of sight.
"...Is it me or is he even more of a jackass now that he's merged with Izanagi?"
"...You kinda made everyone freak there," Atsuro said.
"Hey, the lady asked for orders!" Kanji spoke up. He looked toward Anzu. "I'll have the... uh... er... Chijireru... Roli." He slammed his menu down on the table. "Okay, what the hell's with this restaurant?! It's all shit like this, dammit! That was the least wrong sounding thing on the menu!"

Jounouchi frowned at Souji's reaction as well, actually. Here he was, dealing with something that made him very uncomfortable and that guy was just running off? What the hell? He grabbed a glass of water and took a long drink from it, leaving it about 1/4th full by the time he was done. He picked up the menu and blinked at the choices inside. Between the menu and the uniforms, he found himself being impressed the place was even open during the daylight hours.
"Minato's got a point," Honda said. This caused some surprised expressions. Yuugi actually seemed grateful for it. Honda looked annoyed at the expressions, "I'm just saying it was wrong for him to stomp off like that..."
Ryoji looked worried, "Did I really go overboard? I didn't mean to upse-"
Kanji's indignated shout came after this. Anzu winced at his reaction and the way it shook everything on the table. Anzu let out a sigh, "We cater to... a certain type of customer. You can just point to the menu if it bothers you..."
"The tolerance of this era is quite a bit less than in Ancient Egypt, and even then there were other countries that cared less about it then mine," Atem said with a frown. He looked up, "Anzu, do you have to deal with that 'certain type' often?"
Anzu gave a smile, "I don't think I've ever told this to you, have I? You've gotta have a certain attitude around any man, or they'll mess with you."

Atsuro grinned at Anzu. "Now that's the attitude to take! If you don't, the guys are always tripping you and making you wipe them and just being jerks about it!" He paused. "...not that I've actually been here before."
He was actually telling the truth on that one. While he had been to maid cafes before, he hadn't ever been to one quite like Angel Mort. It wasn't like they'd had Angel Mort back in his world. But he did know some things about Angel Mort through anime and some off topic discussions on some forums. So he had a pretty good idea what the typical otaku customers did.
"...I would like this, please," Naoto said, pointing to one item on the menu. It seemed she hadn't had the courage to actually say the item name out loud.
"Hm..." Minato appeared to be deep in thought.
"Whatcha thinkin' about?" Kanji asked.
"...Naoto in an Angel Mort uniform..." Minato mumbled. It became extremely clear right after that that he hadn't meant to say that out loud, as he began to silently ask Kanji not to kick his ass. Kanji kicked him under the table, and decided to leave it at that.

Anzu seemed to have relaxed more since talking with Adil. She gave a nod towards Atsuro, looking up as Naoto indicated something on the menu. She scribbled down under what Kanji had requested. Ryoji still looked worried, especially given the lack of response. He erred on the side of caution and pointed as well rather than saying the name out loud. Anzu took everyone's orders and gave a nod, pulling down at the bottom of her skirt as she did so.
"Alright, I'll get those right out. It shouldn't be very long, none of the stuff you guys asked for needs to be cooked, just sliced," the way she walked from the table seemed very... practiced. The uniform didn't bob up even once.
"Not to rain on anyone's parade here," Jounouchi said. He paused and glanced around the shop until he saw Adil. He indicated him with a slight tilt of his head, "But if Anzu met that guy here, why exactly did she hit on him? I don't claim to get women, but if people who come here are as bad as she claims..."
"I don't think they all are," Atem said, "I could only understand part of what he was saying, but Adil seems normal enough. Beyond that..." He turned the menu and pointed towards one section, "They have a kid's menu."
"Anzu tends to be really good about reading people," Yuugi pointed out, "She wouldn't be that nice to him if he wasn't okay."
"She sure was scary to me and Honda-kun before..." Jounouchi said.
"Was that before or after we were picking on people half our size?" Honda asked with a raised eyebrow.
Yuugi gave a nervous laugh, "Hey, you guys would never do that anymore. Besides, she only acted scary when you guys got really bad."
"Scarier than how she was acting to Jounouchi-kun before?" Teddie asked.
"I think she could have intimidated Ushio before his nervous breakdown. Ah, he was this really psychotic Public Morale guy. Went looney about a day after beating the crap outta me and Honda with a bunch of his cronies," Jounouchi sighed and gave a shrug, "Hate to say it, but if it hadn't been for that asshole I probably woulda never become friends with Yuugi."
Yuugi gave a nervous grin and rubbed the back of his head. His eyes flicked towards Atem for a moment. The former Pharaoh had frowned and grabbed a glass of water, taking a drink from it that seemed longer than necessary.

Minato looked down at his own menu after Atem indicated the kids menu. "Huh. So people take their kids here?"
Atsuro shrugged. "Well, like I said before. It's just a restaurant with some rather unique uniforms."
He didn't say anything as the others talked. Really, it was more a matter of not knowing what to say. Even with how Yuugi had accepted him into his home, Atsuro didn't really know the rest of these guys yet. He just didn't quite feel like he belonged here. It would be rather clear to anyone watching that he wasn't really paying attention to the conversation at hand.
While Atsuro was stuck in his own head, Souji came out of the bathroom and sat back down at the table. He noted a lack of Anzu standing near the table. "Did she already take your orders?"
"Yeah," Kanji said. "...Yo, Sempai, did you really throw up in there?"
"...No, I just had to go to the bathroom, that's all," Souji said.
Minato groaned. "You could have just said that! You had Ryoji thinking he did something wrong!" He jokingly motioned toward Ryoji as he said that.
"Minato, I don't know if you've noticed, but bad things seem to happen whenever I outright say I'm going to the bathroom," Souji groaned.

Ryoji had looked startled as he heard Souji's footsteps behind him. He looked worried as Souji sat back down and Kanji asked his question. His eyes widened at Souji's response and gave Souji a lighthearted smirk.
"You really are a jerk, you know that?"
Yuugi blinked in surprise, "Really?"
Teddie looked like he was thinking about something, "Sensei's right! I mean... although if Sensei is Izanagi.... Um..."
He now looked very confused.

Souji gave a chuckle. "I'm pretty well aware I'm a jerk." He turned toward Teddie as the bear started getting more and more confused.
"Trust me, Teddie, I'm just as confused as you are," Souji admitted.
"...Speaking of which, what's it like being Izanagi now?" Minato asked.
"Hmm... well, it's... kind of hard to describe. I don't really feel any different than I did before, and while I remember everything from before I took this avatar, those memories are all really fuzzy," Souji said. "It's like... well, Ryoji, you've described your memories of the Fall feeling like a dream. That's a pretty good description of how everything from before I was born feels. I think it's a side effect of having my memories being separate from me for so long. Plus I've got a bunch of weird disjointed memories from when my memories were separate from me and... possessing Adachi." He looked pained at that, and then continued on. "It always feels really awkward using my abilities as Izanagi, too, 'cause they just don't feel like... they belong to me. Am I making any sense?"
"Not a bit," Kanji stated. There was a bit of laughter at that.
Naoto looked over toward Atsuro. "Is something wrong?"
Atsuro jumped and gave a nervous grin. "What? Nah, I'm fine!" He turned toward the kitchen. "Man, Anzu better get here with our food soon. I'm starving!"

Ryoji gave a somber expression as Souji tried to explain things. While everyone else looked fairly confused, he had given a nod. It wasn't... quite the same, he didn't think. The force he had been irremovable from had been the Shadow Death, who had been the avatar of Nyx. In that sense, he hadn't been her avatar but a form for her avatar.
Was it any wonder he'd questioned his humanity with that? At least Souji had been born. He'd just manifested, more like how one would think of their Persona than an "avatar" per se. His forehead scrunched up and he rubbed it. He didn't tend to think about that too hard for the confusion it caused. He did know one thing, he felt almost jealous of Souji. At least Izanagi's purpose in the world wasn't to end it.
Atem gave a sympathetic expression towards Atsuro. Yuugi had come upon the same thing Atem had. The conversation was likely reminding Atsuro about things he didn't want to think about. The conversation didn't really have a chance to sink further before Anzu came out, deftly setting up a stand for an oversized tray and putting it down on top of it. She blinked when she saw Souji and then looked ashamed.
"Souji-kun! I'm sorry, I forgot to get your order! Did you decide on what you wanted?" She somehow managed to look at him while putting the proper desserts in front of each person.

Souji looked toward Anzu as she realized she hadn't taken his order. "It's fine, I'm really not that hungry anyways." Though those pastries all looked really good.
"Sweet! Thanks, Anzu-chan!" Kanji said with a grin. "Man, I'm starvin'!"
Atsuro said nothing. He was just staring at the rather large plate that he was sure was his own.
