Jonah scowled as Castiel accused him of throwing a temper tantrum. Part of it was because he knew the angel was right. He'd drawn out the encounter to feed off of the sibling rivalry between the two Winchestor boys, but the smart thing would have been to just slaughter them all. He wasn't incapable. As for his underling abandoning him, he would have to look into that. Given who he could tell had been here today, he couldn't help but think it had something to do with Crowley. That demon had always been quite the ladder climber.
His anger meant he missed the way Castiel was arranging the group. He'd noted Dean's muttered thanks to Sam for helping him up, but he had missed the chess like precision Castiel was using. It hit him when Castiel blipped over to the main group, and he threw a blast of black fire at them... but Phantom managed to just barely rise above it (the heat he'd feel would indicate it could have hurt even him despite his intangibility. He growled but didn't chase them as Phantom flew through the ceiling and half of the room more or less exploded in flames. Someone was there to check it quickly, but Jonah would already be gone.
----------
The energies had shifted. Despite what he'd told John, Barachiel had made his way to the hospital about an hour after John had left. He hadn't walked, so he'd made it there in minutes. He'd shifted to his human form upon arrival and waited. Waited for the demonic energy to fade to see how many of the group had died. If he'd been pressured into guessing, he would have said all of them.
In a rare moment of surprise for the man, his eyes had widened at the surge of energy and he stumbled backwards, managing to barely just not fall as Phantom flew through the ground. In a flash he had a gun with bullets more dangerous than mere rocksalt one trained on the "ghost", and he didn't even look at the others... but that isn't to say he didn't see them. After all, suppressed energy or no, one could usually recognize their own kind.
"You don't know me, Castiel, and you will do well to keep that in mind. Remember your place," Barachiel took advantage of the telepathy angels could share to warn the low ranking angel in secret.

Today was a day of surprises for Phantom. He'd been quite surprised by his sudden awakening, he'd been quite surprised by how the demon had so effortlessly swatted away his blast of ice, and he'd been surprised by the level of heat he felt from the demon's black fire. This indicated, among many things, that if he'd been hit, he could have been badly hurt. Despite his intangibility. That was troublesome. He'd been in the middle of saying something along the lines of 'Demons. That's funny to me', when he'd gotten yet another surprise.
There was a guy there, and he was pointing a gun at him. That was never a good thing. Under normal conditions, Phantom would have bantered, or he might have even attacked without a second thought, but this was... different. Instead, he awkwardly put his arms up, staring at the man. Now would be a good time for Danny, with his lovable nature, to become the dominant personality and save both their lives. But this didn't seem to be happening any time soon...
Castiel had almost breathed a sigh of relief as he felt the demon lord's energy disappear. Okay. That was good. They were safe. He cut himself off, however, as he felt another energy replace it. An angel. No, not just an angel. An archangel. He couldn't be entirely sure which one, though. As he heard the other's telepathic message, Castiel felt momentarily helpless. His first mind would be to try to help Phantom. It was just his personality. However, the archangel had just been very clear in warning him way from it. As such, he remained neutral, unmoving.
John also reacted in shock, but of a different sort. Patrick's arrival seemed a happy surprise to the man, as he grinned for a moment. They'd escaped again, they were going to make it! John took note of where Patrick was pointing his gun, deciding to attempt to take control of the situation.
"He's not human. Neither of them are," John began, indicating both Castiel and Phantom, "But they just saved our lives. So for right now, I trust them. More importantly though, we just had a pretty nasty run in with a demon. C... Candy-"
"Castiel." Castiel spoke up, correcting John.
"-Castiel suggests it was a sin. Has this island always been like this? Powerful demons and even whole nests running about?"

Patrick's stance didn't change at John's words. He didn't even move at first, giving no indication that he had heard any one's words. Dean fell to his knees as soon as the group was on solid ground, coughing. But he did seem better than before. If Sam offered him help back up, he'd take it and remain more or less stable. Patrick's gaze was intense, neutral if it weren't for the unamused look in his eyes. He took a step towards Phantom, indicating that he seperate from the group with the gun.
"I would have thought you better than to trust something this closely related to demons, John," Patrick said. His gaze remained on Phantom despite his next words, "And you, if John says you're not human I'll have you move from the group, too. Any rebuttal and I'll shoot."
"I will shoot your host if I must to maintain my identity, Castiel," Barachiel warned.

Things had escalated rather quickly. Suddenly Phantom had a gun pointed at him and Castiel was also at risk of being shot. Castiel moved from the group with no verbal response. However, he decided that maybe he could try to reason with the archangel before them. He obviously assumed Phantom was dangerous. Perhaps he could vouch for him.
"Understood, sir. But are you absolutely certain this is necessary? I don't doubt your judgement, but young Daniel just saved the Winchesters' lives, and mine. Not to mention, I'm not certain either half of the boy are even entirely sure of what they are." Castiel responded, via telepathy.
Phantom, however, had been... less quick to move. He'd been more... verbal in his attempts to reason with Patrick.
"What exactly did you mean 'closely related to demons'? I'm not anything like them! I'm not even sure what I am! There was a fight with this other ghost named Plasmius, and I was fused to Daniel Fenton. Lost most of my memory to boot. I haven't done anything wrong!" Phantom protested, waving his arms in exasperation. John was unsure of how to continue. On the one hand, they'd saved his life. On the other, Patrick had yet to be wrong about anything except John's chances of survival...
"Do what he says, kid." John stated, rather flatly, gesturing away from the group yet not looking from Patrick. Phantom paused for a moment before begrudgingly edging next to Castiel. Sam had indeed offered to help Dean back up. He'd still been paying close attention to the confrontation, though, and when John made his decision, he spoke up in a hushed whisper.
"Dad, what the hell? They saved our lives!" Sam urged, looking to his father. John didn't turn to Sam before responding.
"Pat's right. What do we really know about those two?" John asked.
"We know Cas is an angel and we know that they both saved our lives!" Sam responded, aggressively.
"Angel? Feh. They don't exist. I thought 22 years of chasing hellbeasts no God would allow had taught you that, but I guess I was wrong. I'm disappointed in you, Sam."

"An angel should show no tolerance to those not of His creation. Be grateful it is me, most of my peers would have shot him on sight," Barachiel responded.
He did, however, raise an eyebrow at Phantom's protest. No memories? But it would be unlikely to change his nature... still, it was worth a try. However, logic had to reign.
"If you lost most of your memory, how can you claim to have done nothing wrong?" Patrick said. He was keeping a close eye on both Phantom and Castiel. And then Sam responded, and Patrick let his eyes widen, "...an angel?"
He frowned at John's reaction. And there were those that wondered why humanity was slipping. They didn't believe in their Father's soldiers, they didn't believe in their Father. He seemed to be waiting for a response from Phantom, but opened his mouth to speak anyways. Dean cut him off.
"Dad, whether he's an angel or not he's more than shown he's on our side. We haven't told you half the shit that has happened on this island," A pause, "And what do you mean by demon's nest?!"
"For all the unspeakable things you've face as a Hunter, John, I'm surprised at your inability to believe in angels," Patrick finally stated.

Phantom was about to prepare a response. Something referencing the fact that he had some form of memory, but to be quite honest, he couldn't. His memories were quite honestly too fuzzy for him to support the belief that he hadn't done anything wrong. Perhaps he had. Perhaps in the past he was a completely different person. But Daniel had changed him, quite a bit. Before he could raise this point, however, everything went fuzzy for a moment, and he had to put a hand to the wall near him to steady himself. Truth be told, for a moment, he blacked out, simply remaining standing through sheer unconscious will. When he came back, it would not be Phantom at all, but Daniel. It was a change that went unnoticed by Sam but not Castiel.
John paused for a moment, before responding to any standpoint. He felt Dean deserved some form of answer first.
"When I first landed here, I happened into a pretty big demon's nest. Fought my way to a rooftop, but they cornered me. Patrick saved my ass." John responded, giving a slight smile. The look on those demons' faces when John had begun fighting his way through was... interesting. The screaming was terrible, though.
"As for why I don't believe in angels, Mary always used to tell me and the boys that angels were watching over us. Sammy's too young to remember, but Dean might. But where were those angels when some sonuvabitch hung my wife from the ceiling and set her on fire? Where were they when I got her brother, who was just worried about her, killed by a Black Dog? So frankly, even if Castiel's an angel, he's 22 years too late and a dollar short." John responded, stonefaced.
"...I'm sorry, dad. I didn't... I didn't know." Sam responded. Truth be told, there was a lot about his mother he didn't know. He hadn't been afforded the luxury of knowing her.

Patrick showed nothing unusual when Phantom faded out, but this was merely because he'd already had his gun trained on the spirit. He'd noticed the shift as much as Castiel, and intended on questioning the boy once John finished his rant. There was enough of an attitude shift he would be able to explain the more relaxed guard. However, he frowned as John finished his speech.
Dean, in the mean time, had looked a bit pained at John's words. Those were the exact reasons he didn't believe in angels. He knew Castiel was something, and his name sure sounded like something an angel would have, but that didn't mean he believed in angels or God. He was dealing with the man based on how he'd acted here and now, not his fairly wild claims. He said nothing, however. Patrick did.
"If you studied your legends, you'd realize that angels don't serve man," Patrick said. His voice dropped some of the stoic coldness with the next line, "It is unfortunate with your wife, but it was likely of little concern to angels."

Danny took a moment to pull himself together, eyes fluttering. Where was he? The last thing he remembered was getting the crap knocked out of him by Vlad. That didn't explain why he was on some random street. He knew most of the people here, though. Well, sort of. He'd never gotten the chance to converse with any of them. But he still remembered them. Not exactly their names, though. The one in the trench coat had been the one to catch him and... put him to sleep. The other two had been behind with William. The older one was new, and so was the one pointing a gun at him menacingly.
...wait, what? Why was there some random adult pointing a gun at him? Had he done something? Wait, no, that was impossible. He'd been unconscious. Or asleep. One of the two. The point was, there was exactly no reason for this guy to be... unless he was with Vlad? Wait, that didn't make sense, the others had saved his life, surely they would have taken him down or something. He didn't understand this. As such, he decided, for the time being, to comply, raising his hands.
"Uh... heh heh. Hi. I'm Danny. And you all are...?" Daniel asked, giving a slight wave.
"Daniel?" Castiel asked, taking his eyes off of Patrick for a moment. He sounded... young. And very human. Somehow... different from how he'd sounded a second before. Perhaps he didn't know what he was.
"Danny, actually." Danny insisted, not turning to face Castiel. There was a guy with a gun, after all. He took center stage.
"Go ahead, Daniel. Tell Pat here that you savin' us back there was a fluke." John picked up, crossing his arms. It wasn't that he blindly trusted Danny. It was that his sons seemed to, and he trusted them both well enough. He assumed they'd gone through the lot, rocksalt, holy water, all of it.
"You're not listening. It's Danny. And what are you talking about?" Daniel asked, raising a brow quizzically.

Dean glared at Patrick's comment, but he didn't say anything. He'd seen how his dad had reacted to his sudden arrival, even with how tense the air was what with how hostile the guy dad apparently trusted seemed to be. John didn't run around trusting people willy nilly, and he'd covered the whole demon's nest thing, so... for the time being, he'd let the man decide to run around following angels like some bible thumper (he'd not yet noticed the bible shoved into the back of Pat's pants, probably better for everyone).
Patrick's gun remained fixed on Danny, "My name is Patrick, Danny. Tell me, do you have any idea what's happened in the past few hours?"
It was more than a little bit possible that Danny was clueless he was serving as host for some evil spirit. Not that Patrick intended on letting it save the kid in the long run, but he liked to know where the situation stood before he made any wild actions... Dean's eyes, on the other hand, had widened. It hit him just what Patrick was getting at, and he found himself eying Daniel with a less trusting gaze than before.

Danny paused for a moment, giving a quizzical look. Honestly, he remembered nothing from the previous few hours. He remembered getting beaten up by Vlad, and after that, his first memory was of waking up here. There was a period where he'd woken up back inside the hospital, but he'd passed out promptly afterwards. And even that he couldn't remember very well.
"Uh... not much, actually. Last thing I remember, these guys were dragging me out of an alley, and then I wake up here." Daniel responded, raising an eyebrow. He had no idea what his unconscious body could have done that would warrant having a gun pointed in his direction.
John, however, was quick to catch on. He backed farther from Daniel upon his realization, putting forth his rock salt shotgun. He wasn't sure what Danny was, but Patrick seemed to have an idea. That was enough for him. He wasn't sure if rock salt would affect Danny like it did most ghosts and demons, but as long as he was corporeal, it would hurt like a bitch. Sam was less quick to sell Daniel out, oddly enough. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he trusted him.
"Come on, Dad. You can't shoot a little kid." Samuel said, addressing his father but not moving. He would generally have moved between Danny and the others, but he couldn't this time. He trusted his dad not to shoot him, and he trusted that Patrick, judging by John's reactions, was trustworthy. He didn't trust him to not be so completely caught up in the job that he wouldn't sacrifice a hunter or two to do it.
"You know the job, Sam. Sometimes it's tough, but somebody's gotta do it." John responded, not lowering his shotgun. This 'Danny' character was a liability, and one his family couldn't afford.
"Cas, you were there earlier, you seem to trust him. Is he dangerous?" Sam asked, turning now to the lesser angel. Castiel didn't respond immediately. He looked away from Sam, eyes low. Something was wrong here, and he didn't seem completely happy about it.
"Yes. He's a creation not of my Father. He's dangerous." Castiel responded, slowly.
"Dean?" Sam asked, turning, finally, to his brother. Dean had proven to like kids. The question was, did he like them enough to stick up for Danny?

Dean... wasn't entirely happy with how the focus had shifted to him. He held his hand to his mouth and coughed, finding himself unable to maintain eye contact with his father or brother. He'd... actually thought about sticking up for Danny, but then Castiel had said his bit. And now he wasn't sure what to do. They had worked with a ghost earlier, so... he stepped forward, positioning himself roughly in the middle of the group (and in the way of Patrick's gun, not John's), and raised his hands.
"Okay, everyone just calm down here! Dad, he did save us back there, and it's not like we know what the hell he is, right?" Dean looked towards Patrick, his gaze critical, "You seem to. So, what's so dangerous here? That thing pretending to be Danie... Danny, or what? If you've got the answers, start spilling."
"So you've got no knowledge of your other self?" Patrick began. And then Dean stepped in his way. Patrick frowned, "Move, you don't know what you're dealing with."
"I think I just asked you to tell me," Dean said, his tone of voice less amused sounding than his expression looked. Dean indicated Danny with his thumb, "You gonna shoot me to get to him?"

Dean had made the right choice. John wasn't sure whether to feel proud or to want to strangle him, but he'd made the right choice. He'd stepped in front of Patrick's gun, not John's. Truth was, while John was trying to knuckle under, go with what the job required, he didn't want to kill the kid. He hadn't proven himself to be dangerous, yet. He'd saved them, in fact. And Sam and Dean seemed to, if waveringly, trust him well enough. So John lowered his gun, ever so slightly, still keeping it at the ready.
Sam quickly found himself standing to Dean's right, for many reasons. To show his support for Danny, for one. To catch Dean if he started to tilt, for two. But also to stop himself from glancing in Cas' direction. What on earth was the angel's problem?
"Dean's got a point. So far the kid doesn't seem too dangerous. He's possibly not entirely human, so what? So am I. You going to shoot me next?" Sam asked, referring, of course, to his visions. At this point, John was able to decide on an action. He wanted to strangle Samuel. While he was defending Daniel, he did allude to his visions, if only somewhat. He very well could get himself shot.
The situation was pretty heated. Danny was trying his best not to turn invisible. He wanted so bad to just get away from all the glaring, but that would only have made things worse. He wanted even more to just go intangible and get away from all the people pointing guns at him, but something told him not to. It was at this point that Castiel spoke up.
"I think... I think we should at least hear out his story. Maybe he's not dangerous. We won't know that if you just keep pointing guns at him." Castiel looked up from the ground with an expression in his eyes that almost looked like, if Sam didn't know any better... defiance?
"You were right earlier, Barachiel. I don't know you. Because as I recall, our Father teaches love for all creatures. From earlier discussions, and from this conversation alone, I gather that he's at least partially human. Live up to your name, Patience. Let him speak."

Patrick didn't lower his gun, and he was frowning, but there was no indication he was going to do anything further. He kept his eyes focused on Sam and Dean, and in a way, Danny who was right behind them. His frown deepened a moment at Castiel's message, and he adjusted the gun. He didn't lower it, but he had taken about half a second of lowered guard to adjust his grip on it.
"I'm not stopping him from speaking. But I will shoot through you boys if I have to," Patrick gave a glance towards Sam, "And I don't quite know what you mean, but right now its of less concern than the teenager. I'm waiting for an answer, Danny. How much do you know about the situation?"
"Show a little patience yourself, Castiel. I haven't shot anyone yet."

Danny just... really wanted to go invisible, to stop being the centre of attention. He just wanted to retreat inside himself, where it was safe. His powers were on the fritz, and he was in some strange world, he did not need this. But any attempt to escape would likely have gotten him shot, and with how his powers were acting up, he didn't feel he could escape swiftly enough, or count on his intangibility to help. So, after taking in a deep breath, he began to talk.
"Not too long ago, almost a year or two now, my parents built a machine. It was supposed to go to this alternate reality that they called the 'Ghost Zone'. Only, when they tried to turn it on, it wasn't working. They gave up. I decided to take a look inside, because it was pretty cool, honestly. Apparently, they'd put the on switch on the inside of the machine. I accidentally pressed it, turning it on with me inside. It hurt, and I passed out. I woke up shortly after with the ability to 'go ghost'. I get snow white hair, glowing green eyes, I can walk through walls, disappear, fly, and a whole array of other powers. I don't understand how it works, but I'm half-ghost." Danny responded.
Sam wasn't exactly sure how to respond. It wasn't the most... believable story ever, but with everything they'd run into so far, it was at least possible. John was less quick to believe. This... prompted him to finger his trigger, really. It sounded like the sort of story a demon or whatever the kid was would bring up in jest, and he was not at all amused. But at the same time... he oddly believed him.

Pat... Pat's intial response was just to blink. He almost shook his head to clear up the thoughts, but instead he simply tightened the grip on his gun. He glanced at Castiel a moment and frowned. That wouldn't be an option depending on the previous entity's power level. It wasn't a demon, but he was pretty sure Castiel wouldn't be able to do it. And he couldn't without blowing his cover.
"Ghost Zone, huh?" Pat said after a long pause. Well, he supposed he could work with the misnomer, "Has it ever occurred to you that you're possessed?"
Dean had looked at Danny like he was some sort of alien being with his explanation. That sounded straight out of some kid's comic or something. Or some superhero thing. The stupid kind where everything always ended well, completely unrealistic. He tensed up as Patrick asked Danny his question, and had to fight from taking a step away. He didn't really like that idea, but... well... it did seem the most likely right?
