Personality: Tony is an upbeat, fun-loving young boy who rarely gets mad. He is generally a forgiving type, but he can only forgive so much. However, this trait does make him fairly easy to take advantage of. But go too far, and he'll prove himself surprisingly crafty at getting even with you. Although Tony won't openly admit it, others at Snow Woods have observed his behavior towards Jeff and drew the conclusion for themselves, though Tony's not sure if Jeff himself has yet. Yes, Tony is gay for Jeff. No, he is not the total flaming gay trying to get into Jeff's pants that's depicted in most fan art of him from a parallel universe where his world is a video game franchise. Lately, Tony's been starting to come to terms with the possibility that he and Jeff might never become an item. If that's the case, then Tony will want to make sure Jeff will be happy with whomever he does end up with.
History: Anthony P. Folgers attended Snow Woods Boarding school for most of his life and new Jeffery Andonuts for just as long. Jeff was always there for him to cheer him up when he was blue, help him with his homework, or stand up for him when schoolmates would sometimes pick on him. He would occasionally stand up Jeff when the he got picked on in for the sake of repaying him. In the second grade, when a carnival came to Snow Woods, Jeff won a water gun game and got Tony a blackish boater hat as a prize. It was a tad large on him at the time, but he's kept it ever since.
Then one night, specifically the night before Tony's birthday, Jeff awoke with the unusually desperate need to go somewhere far from Winters to do something Tony didn't quite understand. While Tony didn't know what was going on, he trusted that whatever Jeff had to do must've been important. With the assistance of the eccentric but popular young teacher Maxwell Labs, Tony helped Jeff sneak off campus grounds, even letting him have his birthday cookies to keep up his strength on the journey. As Jeff made it past the front gate and set off into the wild blue yonder, Tony took the time to remind him that they'd always be best friends. He then returned to bed.
As Jeff went on his adventure, Tony and Professor Labs spent each day making up excuses for the school board for his absences. One of those days, while outside, Tony heard Jeff's voice just around the corner. Happy to hear his best friend home, he ran over to greet him. But to his shock and disgust, he only found a mook with a voice synthesizer, and a Starman knocked him out before he could run away. Tony was then placed into a hibernation tube in a secret base under Stonehenge among other hostages. He was rescued only after Jeff and his new friends; Ness, Paula, and Poo; defeated the Starman Deluxe running the base and shut its headquarters down.
After being rescued, Tony returned to Snow Woods where the next few days remained relatively calm. Then one afternoon, a strange feeling of anxiety and worry over Jeff and his new friends overcame Tony. He expressed these feelings to his other friends at the boarding school and asked them to pray for the success of the four. In the end, it turned out the quartet had made it back from their mission fine. The next day, Tony saw Ness approach, but when he asked him were Jeff was, Ness replied that they'd already split and he thought Jeff was back at school. As it turns out, Jeff and his father were still in Saturn Valley, and Jeff never called to say where he was. Tony self-consciously assumed he might have been trying to avoid him, especially since Jeff and his dad never had much of a relationship before then anyway, and wondered if Jeff just thought he was annoying.
But Jeff did eventually return and was happy to see his old friend. He just needed some time to catch up with the father he barely knew before coming back. Jeff and Tony reconciled as they swapped stories; Jeff about his adventure and Tony about all the stuff he missed back at school. And for awhile, everything was back to normal... Then Ness and Paula came by the school with the news that their other enemy--the pig-like kid who'd been helping their main enemy, Giygas, named Porky Minch--was on the move, and Jeff was off on adventure again. For awhile, Tony just sat behind, waiting for Jeff to return again. But after awhile, he got tired of waiting. It was then that he snuck out of school himself, bringing with him some of Jeff's old equipment and snacks. And somehow, he actually did make it onto Dimensional Island where Jeff and the other three Giygas vanquishers were.
Other: His middle name, Patrick, is a homage to the radio drama play Fobbies Are Borange. And his last name, Folgers, is a brand of coffee. I will neither confirm nor deny if Tony has any relation to the founders of said coffee brand.
Picture: Recycled old thing from my Mother Meme.
