Kousei shook his head. "My name is Hikaru Kousei. I'm your defense attorney. You're being moved to the main jail today, so I'm here to oversee things."
Adachi lowered his head a bit as Bakura trailed off and then changed the subject. Right, Inpu would know how him and Bakura had parted on bad terms. He would react accordingly.
"Adachi-san, you are currently acting as Bakura-san's guardian, correct?" Kousei suddenly said. Adachi blinked.
"Er..." Adachi glanced toward Bakura. The man seemed unsure of how to answer that.

Bakura blinked in confusion as Kousei introduced himself. His eyes widened as the meaning clicked in place, and he jerked his head towards Adachi. Before he could seem to find words, Kousei asked Adachi his question. Bakura ran forward and shook his head. Inwardly, Inpu was grinning his fool head off. After all, he knew his host had been considering heading back to Adachi's...
"He's not involved in this! It's just me! He didn't... he doesn't have anything to do with this!" Bakura shouted, "It's my fault that girl died, don't involve him!"

Kousei smirked. He hadn't actually meant it that way, but the way Ryou had taken it meant he could use this to his advantage, especially what with the look of shock on Adachi's face.
"The implications are all there, Bakura-san," Kousei said. "After all, the poison your other personality used was also reported missing from this station around the same time you committed that murder..."
"H-Hey, wait, you don't think that I stole it, do you?!" Adachi stuttered. "I wasn't even there that day! You can ask Takahashi-san, he's the one who sees all of the camera stuff! We saw Inpu do it on--" He froze. "Crap, I said too much again! Stop trying to make me say this stuff, dammit!"
"No one is making you say anything, Adachi-san. Please calm down," Kousei stated. "May I remind you that our conversation is being recorded?" He pointed up to a surveillance camera hanging from the ceiling.

Bakura looked trapped as Kousei implied that Adachi was responsible. Inpu was amused, because the poison had been delivered to him by Adachi. Under threat, but that didn't change Adachi had gotten it for him. Of course, Bakura wouldn't know that. This was still when little Ryou had Adachi on a pedestal, after all. He gave a worried look towards Adachi as he slipped up, seemed to consider something, and then shook his head.
"That... Adachi-san wouldn't..." Inpu wondered if Bakura could even complete that statement. Wouldn't do something like that? He'd killed two women, "Inpu says he's a thief, he could have done it!"

Kousei looked between Adachi and Ryou, and he almost smirked. "So you can both agree that it's really Inpu that is responsible, not Bakura-san."
"Hey, wait..." Adachi started. He already knew what Kousei was about to get into, and as much as he wanted Bakura's body out of jail, he wasn't about to aid Inpu in any way.
"The fault would lay on Bakura-san's mental disorder, not Bakura-san himself, then," Kousei continued. "But Bakura-san, you still do not wish to plead insanity, do you?"

Bakura looked hesitant at Kousei's response. He hung his head when Kousei said it was a mental disorder. Inpu knew that both he and his host knew it was no simple mental disorder. Bakura knew it was related to the Ring, and how long had he been trapped in it now? In any case, it was enough for Bakura to not believe any sort of treatment would help him, and right now, Bakura was the one speaking, was he not?
"You don't understand... It's not... he's really there! I can't be cured, its not a mental disorder! It's like a ghost or something!" Bakura insisted.
Which Inpu was quite sure would be chalked up to more insanity. Of course, Adachi had done nothing to try and convince "Bakura" to plead guilty. And escaping still remained an option despite Kousei's threats.

Kousei and Adachi exchanged a glance as Bakura went on about how it wasn't a mental disorder. Adachi knew it wasn't a mental disorder. Kousei wasn't entirely convinced. Both of them were aware of how it would look to others, though.
"Adachi-san, remember our conversation yesterday," Kousei warned. Adachi shot Kousei a glare. He was quite aware of that conversation. Like how the man had told him he'd slip evidence in that would implicate him as Inpu's accomplice in murder if he didn't aid in this. Adachi wasn't exactly fond of the idea of going back to jail.
Adachi hesitated for a moment more before stepping closer to Bakura's cell. "...Ryou, maybe that's true, but y'know, you can't fix anything if you're locked up in jail! And it was Inpu that did it... not you."

Bakura gave an uncertain look towards Kousei as he gave his warning. Inpu was certain what had happened, the man had blackmailed Adachi in some fashion. The teenager's look went back towards Adachi, and he averted his gaze as the man took a step forward and gave his message.
"You don't get it, Adachi-san... It's my body. If I'm free, it'll just happen again. I can't stop it!"
Inpu was taking a gamble on the intelligence of at least one of the two other men here, possibly both. From what he understood of mental hospitals, Ryou wouldn't go free until he was deemed as stable. Meaning Ryou's worry meant he thought he'd be put back on the street. He needed one of them, preferably Adachi given Ryou's trust in him, to tell him that insanity wouldn't let him and a result his "other self", out on the streets. Of course he'd have to waver on that decision until Atsuro spoke to him, but it was a start.

Adachi looked even more worried at Bakura's words. In truth, he was just getting more pissed off at Kousei and Inpu as this went on. The two of them were playing him like some kind of instrument, and it was pissing him off. If he was going to keep up this illusion, he had to go along with it, which, of course, only pissed him off more.
"Ryou, just because you plead insanity doesn't mean they'll dump you back on the streets," Adachi said. "They'll stick you in an insane asylum... and well, that'll be a lot safer, 'cause they won't let you out until they think you're okay. And that won't be until Inpu's gone."
Kousei frowned. Adachi was being rather... frank about that. Kousei doubted that Adachi's explanation would be convincing enough, though with his and Inpu's plans, it would have to work.

Bakura gave a worried frown. There seemed to be some implication he was annoyed that Adachi wasn't listening.. Kousei would also pick up on the fact that he seemed to feel bad about making Adachi fight so much. Inpu wasn't sure how much Kousei believed that this was Bakura, but he had a feeling it wasn't much. After all, the suggestion he pretend to be Bakura had come from Kousei, at least in their interactions.
"He's smart..." Bakura said, his argument sounding weak, "I think he'll just trick them..."

Adachi only continued to look worried, though he seemed to be picking up on the annoyance.
"N-No, actually the people there are really smart! He won't trick them so easily!" Adachi said. After a moment, he sighed and looked away. "...Just consider it, okay Ryou? I want to do anything I can to help you, and I don't want to see you go to jail."
Kousei had to admit, Adachi was playing his part rather well. In fact, he was going along with it a lot easier than Kousei had thought he would. The man had to be planning something.

Inpu had picked up on the same thing Kousei had. Even the trip Adachi had had was... well... the kind of thing his mask would do. So the man was trying to manipulate either him or Kousei. Well, it wasn't like he could do much to him. He was confident he could manipulate his way out of any crazy house, after all. So Bakura gave a weak nod, avoiding eye contact yet again.
The teenager seemed to want to say something, but there was a nervous glance towards Kousei. Whatever he'd wanted to say seemed to be swallowed, and he stepped back from Adachi, sitting down on the bed in his cell.
"You should go..." Bakura said, sounding pained.

Adachi looked pained as Bakura looked toward Kousei. Dammit, why couldn't they have given him a decent lawyer instead of this bastard?! He sighed. "Alright..."
He looked toward Kousei for a moment before heading for the door. His expression was a glare. Kousei didn't react, and instead looked toward Bakura. "I should be going as well." He followed Adachi out, closing the door behind him.
"So what are you planning, Adachi-san?" Kousei asked. Adachi blinked at Kousei.
"Uh... I dunno what you're talking about, Hikaru-san, but I've gotta get back to work," Adachi said. Kousei shrugged and the two of them headed back toward where the main crowd was in the station.
