Blade watched all this carefully as he slowly then got up and watched all this happening to his guilt and sadness. He then felt the fur of the vulpix touch his, and when he looked back up to look at Blazer.... he was gone.
There was loud noise, but it slowly faded out into a distance and chirping as well as rustling from the wind appeared. His face was covered in dirt, tears, and only a little bit of dried blood. His body was in the same condition, but he was now weaker than usual.
Relief and Fatigue slowly washed over his small body as he looked back down to Aries.
She looked so weak, so brittle. She looked... almost pitiful.
He felt the weather slowly return to a colder temperature as he started down at aries, tears dripping down his face slowly once more onto Aries' fur coat.
Fatigue took over his body as his vision started to blur heavily, his eyelids sagged, and darkness started to take over his vision. His limbs staggered as he bent his legs slightly.
He wanted to rest, no more thoughts. He wanted relief, peace, quiet. Then came the remembering of the girl.
If the temperature got too cold, what would happen? He had no strength to pull her and make a fire now did he?
He did what he could then with all the strength he had then wrapping his paws around her body lightly into a snug hug, holding her close to him as he laid down onto the rough ground.
He could feel her breathing softly as he held her closer and laid his head on the ground, and wihtout any limbs moving. He closed his eyes trading the painful consciousness to the sweet lull of nulled pain.

It seemed as though hours had passed... hours of unconsiousness for Aries. Hours in which she had not moved, not even twitched... just gave staggered, weak breaths...
Slowly, one eye of the Vulpix opened.
She felt a throbbing pain on her side, and barely managed to muffle the cry of pain. And yet, at the same time... she felt warmth and softness... slowly, her vision came to...
A Growlithe sleeping close to her, holding her close to him... almost as if, he was protecting her...
Protecting me...?
A surge of guilt ran through Aries, eyes filling with tears. She now felt bad about ripping the poor guy's spirit apart... Even though she had torn him to pieces, he had defended her from the Arcanine...
She whispered two words, quiet and hesitant, into Blade's ear.
"... Thank you..."

Blade's light breathing was the tiny answered returned as his arms were still around her, providing warmth. His heartbeat had no longer accelerated as it did hours ago. His face held a soft smile, as if having a sweet dream now. Etching that smile, were those words put into his minds. Words he hasn't heard in such ways that warmed him. Still, nonetheless he slept in peace. And in happiness he did so as the soft wind blew in. The night was calm, and nothing was to disturb

Slowly, reopening his eyes Blade's red eyes showed to the sunlight. He staggered to get up, and failed at first. However, he eventually got up. He felt sore all over, but he felt... essentially lighter due to the lack of his bag. He was sitl la mess, but he felt better at least. His paws were near Aries as he was standing above her. He could tell she was half asleep as he moved his paw and softly brushed it into her hair.
Aries....That's your name. I.... I have no regrets for giving up anything.......Aries....
This he thought to himself as he looked upon her softly. He was glad she was alright, even if his body ached still. He didn't care about what happened earlier, someone was safe. Maybe he wasn't a failure afterall. But hopefully she would awaken.

At the sensation of the paw going through her hair, Aries' eyes slowly opened up, she was still clearly not fully awake. She was slowly regaining her vision, the world steadily clearing up.
The first thing that came into focus was orange, cream and silver fur. The same fur that belonged to the Growlithe that she had broken... and the Growlithe that defended her.
Aries felt heavier as she slowly got to her feet. She then realized, her hair was out and undone, making her look like the living embodiment of a "bad hair day".
As she slowly tried to look at Blade, Aries just couldn't find the strength to. It was her fault they were like that in the first place.
"... I'm sorry..." she muttered, barely audible. Hair fell into her eyes, obscuring her face from view... and her falling tears.

Blade was surprised by Aries' awakening, but more so when she got up. He then watched her mouth move slowly, and watched the silent dribbles of water fall from her eyes.
"... I'm sorry..."
Blade's red eyes staring upon Aries, and he looked at her softly. He then pushed his front feet up and sat down then doing what a canine's type of hug was holding Aries close.
".....I'm, fine.... I'm just glad you're okay...." He then spoke softly to her.
What was he doing?
He was hugging a total stranger to him practically
And yet.... he felt okay with it
He felt warm holding Aries in his arm, realizing. She was in need of comforting most likely.

Aries made a surprised, but quiet sound at that. Did he just... give her a hug...? Even after all she had done to him? And why wasn't she fighting it?
What am I doing?
I am being hugged by what is basically a complete stranger to me.
And yet... I feel fine with this.
"You... you actually... forgive me...? Even... even after all the mean things I said to you...?"
It was like all the bad memories of her being attacked by the Arcanine were completely gone, she needed comfort now.

Blade smelt Aries' fur a bit softly at first, and as sweet as this moment was. She didn't really smell all that good. But nontheless he held on for a good minutes or so more, and was sitll quite happy being with someone else.
He then latered removed his arms from Aries softly as he looked at her.
"....we should get fixed up.... before we go anywhere. We look like a mess...." He then spoke softly with a small chuckle as if talking to his own sibling.
He's never felt so comfortable talking to other people, was it the fact he's always been protected why he never did?
He didn't know. But hell he was happy to find a bath anywhere right now.

Aries gave a small shudder at the mention of the word 'bath', knowing it would get rid of all the dirt she had worked to accumulate on her fur, and make her look, well... not her.
But still, water might feel good on her aching body, and man, did she feel like one big ache.
Trying to make out a path through the trees, she squinted to try and see what was beyond the jungle.
"I think there's a lake around here..."

Blade took note of this as he then followed What Aries' eyes saw, and saw it a bit himself. Only a tiny bit however.
"Wow... that looks like a good spot to get washed up.... Come on, let's hurry..." He then spoke softly as he walked forawd, and then turned around to look at her. He had a warm smile on his face despite the dirt and grime on it.
"It'll be better to do it now than never." He then added on wiht a slight chuckle turning around and walking. Looking rather forward to the wash too.

Starting to walk through the brush, Aries swatted at any in her way with Iron Tail every now and then. She remembered- she had smashed down most of what had once been in her way, when she had been spit out in this forest just one day ago.
One day... was it really just that long ago?
Shrugging the thought off, Aries mentally prayed that she might find a familiar face there.
