The teenager blinked a bit at Josah's description. He glanced around for a moment, seemingly lost. He'd thought this was the Earth targetted by Bazaroth, but they didn't really do those sort of burials any more. Josah had said this wasn't the local cemetary. Seemingly uninclined to move, he looked back towards Josah.
"Why would you end up in... Gotham City, you said?" The teenager paused for a moment and spoke up again before Josah could respond, "Does it have something to do with your magic?"

"My... magic... oh, of course! In this dream, I'm our party's wizard! Wow, I'm never wizard. I'm usually thief. Or arsonist or something of that sort. Is... is arsonist actually a class? Did I just imagine that, implying some deep rooted desire to be an arsonist? Oh no, what if I'm really insane, like... like Batman! No, wait, that's the Joker. But STILL. And now I probably look weird, standing here, pondering to myself. I should probably say something to break the awkward silence. Respond so I don't look like a complete numpty. Right." Josah thought to himself, continuing to stroke his chin. It was his default thinking face.
"It... it might, yeah. A lot of magical guys hang out in Gotham City all the time, such as Zatana, who is rather buxom, which makes it really distracting when I'm trying read--I mean, fight. But, yeah, it--it might. It might be because I'm an arsonist. Is... is that what they're called? The guys with the... magicky magic stuff? Oh, wait, no, that's wrong isn't it? Wizard, right. It could be, yeah. I don't really have much of an idea what's going on here, there hasn't been a lot of exposition yet." Josah responded, somewhat quickly.

The teenager seemed to be losing patience, and then something dawned on him. He scowled at Josah and looked away, looking down at his arm. If Josah followed his gaze he'd note... that the teenager's wounds weren't bleeding as bad as they had been. Rather than fresh and raw, they seemed... possibly a few hours old? Still open, but not by as much. No new blood was seeping, either. The teenager spoke without looking up.
"You have no idea what's going on," he then looked back towards Josah with a glare, "Get out of here, you're wasting my time."

And like that, any dreams of becoming a symphony were crushed. Worse yet, Josah had already been planning their band name. Something completely original, something that would revolutionise the world! But alas, he was always his own Yoko Ono. But it was still his dream, he still had some control here, he could still set them back on the right track!
"No, look, see, it's like thi--hurgh." Josah was cut off, however, as he grabbed his chest with a grunt. He stumbled back a bit. It felt like his entire body was on fire. Which, arsonist or not, wasn't the best feeling in the world. He collapsed to his side, letting out one small, feeble scream. With that, his eyes slowly closed.
When they reopened, their light green colouring was gone, replaced by a darker yellow. His expression showed noticeable difference, his features hardening into a scowl. He pushed himself back to his feet, flexing his hands. He hopped in place for a second, seemingly just to make sure he still could. He turned to face the teenager from before, scowl unchanging.
"This place, as far as I can tell, is an island in the centre of the multiverse. Its inhabitants, from what I've researched, refer to it as Dimensional Island. I was drawn here because he is here, and wherever he goes I must follow. I--wait, hang on a sec." 'Josah' left off here, putting his right hand behind his head. After a quick burst of energy, his head wound was... well, gone.
"There we go, that's better. I'm... well, it's difficult to explain. For the sake of simplicity, I suppose you could call me Other Josah. Don't do that, though. I'd have to kill you." Other Josah said.
DKFJALKFDJLAJ OH GOD MY HEART NOOOOO

The teenager was on his feet in a flash, the faintest trace of a wobble evident as he sprang up. There was a bit of demonic aura gathering by him, and those that could sense it would realize it was being fed by the area around him, boosted in a way. He gave a dangerous look to whoever the hell had possessed Josah as he gave his explanation.
"Center of the... How many Waylines?" the teenager asked, a question that would be more than a bit lost on Josah. Given that this person already knew of the Multiverse, however...

The proper response took a moment to register in Other Josah's mind. He'd been essentially dead for ages, though, so a few facts and terms taking longer to pull up than others was at least somewhat justified. Mostly, though, he was a technical old man in a technical young man's body. It was really confusing. Technically, of course.
"More than Earth, or whatever it is it's called in this age. Is it still Earth, actually? Been asleep for a while, it's really confusing." Josah responded, looking around. Dimensional Island's cemetery. Well, that explained his other self's injuries, at least. Didn't quite explain his odd choice of attire, however. Were water soaked clothing items "in" this season? That would take a bit of getting used to, he supposed.

The teenager opened his mouth again as the whatever in control of Josah's body informed him it was more than Earth. To correct him. But he closed it as the man rambled on. It was possible.... unlikely, but possible that this entity didn't know Earth's true name. It fit the aura, which didn't seem to fit the denizens of Bazaroth or Aradia. Not a lot of other people knew Earth's true name, and for once he felt like obliging his former teachers in not spouting it around near strangers.
More Waylines.... A smirk tugged at a single corner of his lips. He was the Key to a Gate to a place with more Waylines than Earth? Well didn't that make him more important than those fools at the "school" knew. The teenager gave a shrug at the entity's inquiry if it was still Earth, leaning back against the tall cross monument behind him that served as a grave marker. He crossed his arms. The wounds from before remained, but any doubt about them lessening was gone. It was the aura of the area, of the defiled holy ground, that seemed to be swirling around him. A clear indicator to anybody that could read it that he wasn't a normal human, if nothing else.
"Anything else?"

There wasn't an immediate response from other Josah. Instead, the entity looked at the open grave near where he stood, quickly dropping into it. He seemed to be looking for something, feeling around at the wooden coffin that he had, not too long ago, blown the lid off of. He continued to feel around, scowl slowly intensifying. After a few more moments of continuing his futile search, he stopped, eyes widening.
"No... no no no NO! Dammit, how could he be such an idiot? How the hell am I supposed to..." Other Josah trailed off, ramming his fist against the wooden construct beneath him in outrage. Something important was missing. Without it, he would barely be able to control this construct. Which would mean a harder time doing what it was he needed to do.
He quickly materialised a wooden staff of some sort into his palms. Near the upper tip there was a circular beam, surrounded by bells. He jabbed it into the ground, through the wooden construct, eyes giving off a white hue. A beam, greatly resembling a shockwave, travelled outwards. After a brief moment, he frowned, floating from the open grave. He turned to it, pointing his staff. Following this, it essentially exploded, shrapnel stopping in mid-air, seemingly stopped in time. He landed then, staff disappearing.
"Dammit... my time's almost up. Let's up this golem knows what he's doing..." Other Josah growled, closing his eyes. He stumbled for a moment before opening them. They had returned to their original tint, his scowl disappearing. He looked around a bit, confused for a moment.
"Oh, hey. I'm doing this dream again, awesome! Some things look a bit different, though..." Josah thought aloud, looking towards the damage Other Josah had left behind.

The teenager frowned as Josah turned around, dropping into the open grave near where they were both standing. He titled his head at it, noting that it hadn't been open for very long. He shrugged to himself as the boy cussed and slid back down into a sitting position. He looked with seeming disinterest at the cuts on his arm. They looked a few days old. He looked around. He'd have to spend the night here to be sure to be well enough to travel.
He was contemplating the gnawing feeling in the pit of his stomach when the boy flew out of the fricken grave. He was back on his feet in an instant and ready to fight when the boy muttered something about time... and switched back to the original personality. The teenager narrowed his eyes and let out an annoyed "tch" noise before sliding back to the ground, his knees up and his hands hanging inwards.
"If you don't have anything important to do, then stop wasting my time and leave," the teenager scowled.
He'd heard the words about "golem", but despite the boy not seeming as such didn't particularly care. They were of no use to him either way.

Josah looked about for a second. He wasn't absolutely certain he'd woken up, but he didn't remember anything in between his atrocious heart burn earlier and now, so he had to have. He didn't remember his waking hours, though. He wasn't even completely certain he'd had any. So, that being said, he didn't make it immediately obvious that he'd even heard the other teenager's question. After he'd come to a somewhat suitable conclusion to his earlier dilemma, he frowned.
"Listen, Spruce. I've come to the conclusion that you're kind of a jerk, and I suppose I can't blame you for that. Some people just are. But right now, I don't know whether I'm in a dream, or if I'm dead, or what's going on, so I need you to calm the hell down." Josah responded, his eyes flashing dark yellow at his last bit. He grasped his head, stumbling.
"Blimey, that must have been some party. Hey, sorry for blowing up at you like that, broseph. I know you're probably feeling a lot of stuff right now, and it's cool. But come on, man. I don't know where I am, you don't know where you are. It's like the perfect superhero team up! I'm Josah, by the way. Josah Hasoj!" Josah finished upon gathering himself, head still swimming a bit.

The teenager snarled at the flash of yellow, and then sighed and turned his head away as it faded. He gave a shrug as Josah listed the reasons they should team up. He waited for the boy to stop talking, and then turned at him with a sidelong glance as he introduced himself.
"One, you not knowing where you are is your problem. Two, I'm quite capable of handling myself. And I don't care what your name is, we're never going to meet again. You are wasting both of our time by staying here, so go away."

Josah sighed. Clearly, this superhero team up wasn't a thing that would happen easily. But for whatever reason, he was in this dream again, so he felt he might as well push for it. Besides, the other teen seemed like a pretty cool guy. Sort of a cool guy, at least. A lukewarm guy, maybe?
"You don't mean that. See, I've kinda got a way with reading people. Yeah, you're a jerk, and dressed somewhat indecently, but really, you're just not up to date with how friendship works. There's this pony show you should watch, it would change your life forever. But that's beside the point. What I'm saying is, friendship is magnificent and I'm extending an olive branch of it in your direction." Josah spouted, rather bubbly.
"I guess what I'm saying is, I'm determined to make this friendship work, and I will not back down! I've won a lot of radio contests by refusing to get off the line!"

The teenager gave Josah a flat stare as he continued to attempt to befriend him. Up to date? While he had never been the top of his class, he knew how human customs worked. His eyes narrowed as Josah continued to talk and then finally gave out a sigh and closed his eyes, leaning his head back against the tombstone he was resting against.
"If you want to spend the night in the graveyard, that's not my concern. But if you don't shut up and stop being an annoying gnat, I'll do it for you," he opened his eyes and lowered his head, glaring in Josah's direction with his straight black eyes and grey sclera, "And it won't be pretty."

Josah considered this a victory for the fantastic disease known as friendship. Though the other teen still didn't seem extremely overjoyed about his presence, it was a start. Even Batman and Superman started with Bats sort of... creepily watching Supes undress. While Josah had been willing to go to those extents if their friendship required it, he was sort of glad he didn't have to. He was still pretty cold, and he wasn't very fond of spending ANOTHER night naked in a grave. He would never live that down.
"Okay, yeah, it's cool, Jefferson. I'll just... I'm actually sort of tired, if that's... possible. So I think I'll just take a lie down in this very inviting remains of a grave site." Josah responded, lowering himself into what was left of his old resting place.
He stamped around for a bit, making sure he wouldn't sit on, like, a spaceship or something. He wouldn't put it past this weird dream world. He made an attempt to take a nap, but wasn't very successful. It was still... sort of wet. And also dirt, that was a problem as well.
"So... nice weather we've been having lately."

The teenager payed no more attention to the words than was needed to confirm that the boy wasn't going to preach at him anymore. He leaned his head back against the tombstone and closed his eyes again, this time blocking the boy's words completely. After a bit, there was welcome silence. The teenager's breathing began to become more steady at the silence, and it was highly possible he'd drifted off when Josah spoke again.
He jerked his head up in the fashion of someone who had realized they were about to fall asleep in class, and glared towards the grave where he could hear the voice. The boy's other personality, whatever it was, seemed to know about the Gates and Waylines, so he wasn't sure why either of them were remaining year. He let out a huff noise and leaned his head back again. If the boy wanted to hear the sound of his own voice, he wouldn't stop him.
He'd likely be drifting off again in a matter of minutes.
