"Yeah, you really have been-- Ahowowowowowoww!"
Minato suddenly found himself being pulled by the lanyard around his neck toward the door. As it turned out, that actually hurt quite a bit. He made a mental note of that for the next time he decided to pull Ryoji places by his scarf.
"Okay, okay, let's go, just let go!" Minato said. There was an amused grin on his face.

Ryoji's grip actually loosened on the lanyard rather quickly after Minato began to freak out, and he turned his head towards the blue haired teenager and managed to yank him a little further as a result. He looked worried for half a moment before he saw the expression on Minato's face and finally let go of the lanyard with a smile. He stuck his thumbs into the top of his pants just behind the suspenders and let his smile widen more.
"You know I actually have no idea where you plan on going, right?" he teased. He'd start walking if Minato did, falling into step beside him, "Are you sure it's not a problem, though? I mean, it's your money..."

Minato began to walk down the hallway, Ryoji falling into step beside him. He chuckled when Ryoji said he had no idea where they were going. He thought he'd been obvious about it before. Then Ryoji brought up the money issue. They were still starting to run really low on cash, and neither him nor Ryoji had jobs.
"It's not too big of a problem," Minato said, waving it off. "I think we should probably see if there's any job openings while we're out, though."

Ryoji frowned and looked at Minato as if he'd taken the laugh a little personally. Of course he knew they were going to a clothing store, but he didn't really know this city. He seemed to relax as Minato waved it off and straightened back up, only to turn his head in confusion at Minato's follow up statement.
"Uh... I don't really have job skills..." Ryoji said with a nervous laugh. It wasn't like he'd ever worked a day in his life.

Minato just kind of blinked at Ryoji. Okay, either Ryoji honestly didn't remember that or he was just trying to get out of looking for a job. He lightly chuckled.
"You can't tell me that, not when we were working together for Career Week," Minato said. "You were fine then, I'm sure you'll do fine now."

The pair had reached the stairs. Ryoji pulled his hands out of his suspenders as they headed down, a little close due to the width of the stairs, and lifted his hands up and forward, the thumbs sticking straight up. He moved them up and to the other side away from Minato as he talked, his face looking at Minato the whole time.
"That was just moving boxes all day. I really don't think that counts much for experience. I mean I know what they said and all that, but I think they were just using the students for slave labor," Ryoji said, an underlying chuckle inherent in his voice, "They could have at least paid us for it, right?"

Minato watched Ryoji mime the kind of work they'd been given, which had pretty much been just lifting boxes all day long. He lightly chuckled and shook his head.
"I would have liked getting paid for it," Minato said through his laughs. He then patted Ryoji on the back and continued down the stairs.
