Patchouli listened to them as they discussed the idea of teaching Rainbow Dash the art of danmaku. From what she knew of the pony, from what she had watched, she was an arrogant young upstart. She had high ambitions, and while they did not fuel her in an arrogant manner, they were definently a high priority in her life. That being mused upon, she also had to admit that, if any of the ponies could use the lessons, it would be Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy was too timid to fight, Applejack was strong enough on her own being an Earth Pony, Rarity and Twilight could use magic, and Pinkie... something about Pinkie didn't sit right with her, even disregarding Cupcakes as nothing more for the horror story it was meant to be. It was the odd way she could just seem to break the fourth wall, the way she could be where she wanted to be, as if she were Yukari, some sort of God in mortal form.
"I will help," Patchouli replied. Considering she'd probably never be able to get back to the manor in time, she might as well busy herself with something. "If I am sent back to the manor, I'll gladly ask Remmy if she might be able to spare some time during the night... provided Rainbow's a bit nocturnal, of course. I'd rather not send China though. I'm certain you understand." Meiling often slept on the job. Meiling wasn't that good at danmaku. Now if Applejack needed to learn some physical techniques, Meiling would be good for that. "Either way, though, I agree with Alice. Make sure she can fly without her wings. I doubt anything bad will happen to her, but in the event she cannot use them, whether she injures them or loses them in the worst case, it would do her well to know that she has a source of power she can access to mimic those wings."
