"Yeah, well... sorta left his leash back on Serenity. And as my boat's back in my dimension, I don't think it's that easy to get." Mal responded, stretching his hand a bit. Probably only sore because it was the hand he'd had a device FORCED IN. He'd have to learn to use his left hand very effectively, very quickly. It didn't help, at ALL, that all parties here needed a bit of medical care. That being said, Simon asked the question Mal was thinking, walking up with Makoto in his arms.

"Tell me, is there another hospital around here? This young man requires medical care and, from the looks of it, so do you." He turned to face Zero initially. Because Mal most likely didn't know the geography of the island and Jayne... was sort of unconscious.

"I'm just curious, but are we going to take him with us?"

"Might as well. Asshole or not, until we can find the rest of the crew, we need Jayne. He's our brawler, and our gunman." Mal responded, hesitantly.

Zero scowled as Simon implied he needed medical care. He wasn't human and he didn't like the implication that a human doctor could do anything for him. Then again.... he reached up and put his hand against his ribs, reaching under his jacket so that his hand was over his grey shirt. Then again, his ribs hurt like hell and he was having trouble catching his breath. Having to breath alone was enough to make him scowl more.

"He tried to kill him," Zero said between heavy breaths, indicating first Jayne and then Simon with his free hand, "So you might want to find a new leash."

Zero looked at Makoto for a moment. The best option would be to leave him to die, but once again, they were dealing with a doctor. Humans and their stupid sentimentality. He seemed to consider something as his breathing became a bit less labored and his breath came back to him.

"They're building a new hospital here, but its not open yet. Which makes Bonsai Village the only other option. Walking there isn't much of an option for the distance, which pretty much leaves a bus," Zero scowled more deeply, "I can't cover the cost. You saw what happened last time I tried to use my abilities."
