A sixteen-year-old in grubby clothing stood on a small, ragtag platform before a large group of passer-by's. A small army of people all in identical hoodies, bandannas, and jeans stood behind him like a professional guard. The young man's voice was fiery and powerful, and yet strangely charismatic.
"... if we create the culture, why do we let the culture control us?" He yelled at the crowd. "Man invented money and currency and now it walks him like a dog! We invent the computer, but now we're worker bees to the internet hive!"
There were a few agreements from the crowd.
"If we let this stupid little filth dominate our lives, what can we accomplish?! TV, music, money, fashion-- they only hold us back! We need to be revolutionaries-- like Washington!"

"Washington ALSO owned slaves!" Tree yelled from the crowd. She mostly agreed with what this dude was talking about, but she liked her computer too much to give it up.
Snowy scoffed. "Shouldn't we be looking for Ark?"
"Yeah, but this guy annoys me. I wanna stick around a little bit and see what he's preaching about." Tree said. "Something about having to start a revolution."

"We're always a slave. It doesn't matter to who." The man responded calmly. "In the world I see, people are free to do what they want. Empty banks serve as homes for the homeless. People only obey the unpsoken laws that are etched into the backs of our minds."

"So he wants anarchy..." Tree mumbled to herself. "ONLY WORKS IN THEORY! JUST LIKE COMMUNISM!"
"You love flaunting your random history trivia, don't you." Snowy sighed. "Who is this dude anyways? I've never seen him around before."

"So does government!" The man yelled. "Some fucking idiot runs a place for a few years and then a new guy comes along and changes all the laws!" There were murmurs of agreement from the crowd.
"At least with anarchy, the rules you know stay the same." The man said darkly. "Government and the desire for power is what drives people to crime-- if you take away laws that tempt, what is there?"

"All that's left is total chaos! People killing others with impunity! Looting from stores, taking anything that's not bolted down! I rather like my manifestations of my materialisticness, thank you!" Tree yelled over the crowd again. "What humans need is a leader who will keep total chaos from breaking out!"

There were mumbles in the crowd-- the people were starting to agree with Tree. The small army behind the young man, however, all seemed to simeltaneously reach into their pockets...
"So... the only reason you're sticking with your beliefs is because you like stuff?" A voice in the crowd asked.

"Not just me, but most of the western world! People are materialistic! And I know you people are materialistic! Look at your shiny cars!" Tree yelled. "The ones you spend hundreds of dollars to fix over a silly fender bender! But that's not my point! My point is, without control, people will begin to commit crimes and run wild with impunity! This guy--" Tree pointed to the young man. "--wants us to abandon all control! To run wild, to be reduced to animals!"
Snowy noticed the people reach into her pockets, and immidiately summoned her scythe. Something wasn't right...

"If we get rid of money, everything will be fine!" The man argued. "It's just consumerism I wanna get rid of-- the human desire for more and more that slowly drives us to commit crimes! Without any of that, we'd all be free!"
