More portals. It probably wasn't Karkitty having been sucked away in grub state because.... well, he grew up to be the Karkitty Nepeta knew and... well um. The one she knew, anyway. Then who else could it be? What other troll could have the same blood color as Karkitty?
Unless... She smiled, it made sense now.
"I haven't seen her either! Do you think she made it to her block okay?" Getting ready to leave, she gave John one last shot of the Healy Thing before leaning over to kiss his forehead. "You rest up, okay?" She also kissed Geiger's head softly too. "And you keep John company, okay?"
Stepping back and seeing her two carecievers (receivers of her care) laying comfortably in bed, she excused herself from John's room quietly, closing the door behind her. She walked down the hall to Jade's room three doors down and knocked softly on it. "Jade?"

From within the dark depths of Jade's room there came the rustle of blankets and sheets. A faint groan and then two brilliant green eyes blinking owlishly over the comforter. "Nepeda? Dab yoo?" She snuffled, then reached over towards a box of tissues only to find it empty. Beside the bed was a completely unflattering pile of waded up, snotty tissue.
With a wheezing groan Jade flopped back onto the bed and buried her face into the pillows.

John yawned, leaning into the kiss to his forehead, and smiled tiredly. “Thanks, Nep. Give her a bit of Healy Thing too, okay? I’ll bet she could use some.”
With that, he very carefully, as not to disturb him from his slumber, moved Geiger up with him as he laid down, pulling the covers up with him. Finally, he was back to the position he wanted all along, curled up with the little bundle of warmth resting gently at his side. He took a moment to gaze lovingly down at Geiger, petting him one last time before settling.
Little friends… family. They made his heart flutter with glee so much. He had always been a boy who wanted to raise a family and be a good father.
Just like…
Memories floated through his sleepy head as he finally drifted off, holding Geiger close.

Nepeta decided to come in, discovering yet another patient who needed her healing touch! "Yes, it's me, Jade. Are you feline okay?" She noted the lack of the facial cloths and found another box of them, bringing them over to her incapacitated friend.
She sat on the bed as she'd done with John. Moirail or not, she would get the same treatment he had. She gingerly wrapped her arms around Jade's midsection and leaned down to give her a warm hug, putting her head against Jade's shoulder. From her hands flowed more of the Healy Thing, which was getting quite the workout! Shame she was already at the top of her echeladder.
Healing process aside, Nepeta hadn't really gotten the chance to be with Jade, and she'd wanted to for a while! They had similar interests and everything! But the last time she'd taken a backseat to let Jade bond with her ectobrother. This time she had the chance to be the bonding purrson. A friendly, and healthy hug should get things on the right paw.
