Wilhelm stopped walking. "I really don't see how that's your business," he said gruffly. "But what the hell. Some old hag asked me to get some supplies for her shop back in Bonsai Village. No idea what the hell she uses them for, but at least I'm getting some cash out of it. Think she's insane though, I mean, wedlock? Come on..."

"And there's your problem," Wax pointed, after hearing the "old hag" remark. "A lot of species- some examples excluded..." he quickly added, rubbing his chest with his knuckles. "have a tendency to become a bit... how do i put this nicely... daffy in their rusting years." he concluded, twirling his finger next to his head to make a point.
"You may want to check back with her- either Wedlock's a new kinda plant species or she gave you the wrong name."

"Yeah, I figured that," Wilhelm replied. "I'll probably kick her ass if that's the case. Figure I'd look around a bit just in case if she meant hemlock, though." He gave a side glance at Wax. "Mind helping me a bit to speed things along?"

Wax had to think for a minute. "Sure, why not?" he hummed, trudging along. "But it makes ya wonder- why would an old woman want something like Hemlock? That stuffs as dangerous as it gets!"

"Beats me," Wilhelm replied as they walked the path, "probably wants to poison her husband or something, assuming she's married. She was pretty creepy. Looked like that crone from that one movie...one with the poison apple, I think? I dunno, I don't watch films." He looked left and right--some plants grew here and there, but they were just weeds. "Dammit, all of these things look the same to me."

Following Wil's lead, Wax looked around all over. "Probably helps when you can see in the dark," he chuckled, eyes darting all over. Lessee- Too short, plant growths didn't look right, leaf coloring was just wrong... "Wow, none of this stuff looks like any Hemlock I've heard about." Wax huffed, still looking.
Everything was either too short or just strange looking- nothing looked like Hemlock at all. "Maybe she was insane after all- I can't find any Hemlock he- what the...?"
Now THIS was an odd plant- short, to the ground, but that wasn't the oddest part about it- it was growing on top of a woman's grave, by the name of her. "What the... what the heck is this thing? Hey Wilhelm, check it out- this weird little weed's growing out of a woman's grave!"
Curious at it, Wax tried to pluck it from the ground, when his heart (his flame on his head) flickered unusually brightly. "Gah! That was... my sixth sense...? Why did it go off?" Wax wasn't sure what he was looking at, but he knew this- it wasn't a natural form of plant, that's for sure.

Wilhelm ignored Wax as he knelt to examine the plant. It looked like Virginia Creeper, only the leaves were darker and there weren't as many. God only knows why it was growing out of a grave, but whatever. "Must've been one fertile corpse," he joked. Without any preamble (or respect to the dead, for that matter), he reached forward and pulled out the plant.
He honestly doubted that it was hemlock. But if it turned out the woman WAS crazy, he could just give it to her and claim it was hemlock, and she probably wouldn't tell the difference. Despicable? Probably, but he was getting tired and wanted to get this over with.
"Well, that's settled," he said as he pocketed the plant. "This oughta satisfy the old crone."

Wax crossed his arms, staring at the odd plant. "Something just doesn't set right with me about that thing- It's nothing natural, not from my world, and not from any other world I know about- which isn't many, but still!"
His teeth were practically gritting at this point. "At the very least let me come with ya to that place she's at." He hissed a bit, crawling over to his previously left computer in order to grab it up. Don't ask where he put it, but it was quickly stored away. "I know I've got a home to find, but this is just too odd for my taste."

Wilhelm gave Wax a look and opened his mouth, ready to tell him that it really wasn't any of his business and he could deal with it himself, not to MENTION that they had just met not three minutes ago and would have no obligation for each other--
"Even if you don't want us to help, we're just going to follow you until you relent."
He closed his mouth. "..." He sighed in exasperation and turned to walk away. "Fine, come along if you want. BUT--" He whirled around and stuck his finger into Wax's face. "Do ANYTHING that annoys me or slows me down, and I WILL shoot you, even if it won't kill you. Got that, Candle Jack?"
If they bothered to pay attention, they would've heard a barely inaudible scream of frustration that sounded vaguely like a ghost trapped in a medicine cabinet.

Before Wax could really say anything, he turned. "...Uuuuh... I won't ask." he shivered. "But anyway- since I'm overall annoying anyway, I get the feeling I shouldn't come along. Later, I guess..."
Before he got too far along, he looked back at Wilhelm. "Unless, of course, you'd prefer to go all they way back there in the dark. Ther're guys a lot creepier than me in the night hours- more biolent, too.
"Besides, I also do piggy back. Or, candle back. I guess?"

Wilhelm checked his handgun, looking at Wax with a raised eyebrow. "I can take care of myself, pal. But now that you mention it, I'm not really in the mood to grope around blindly. What the hell, come along. Just don't do anything to disrupt me."
He wasn't really sure what to make of this candle person, but as far as he could tell, he was relatively harmless. Maybe.

"Well, I'd rather not disrupt, but alright," Wax shrugged, lugging behind. Once he was done guiding the guy, he could leave and come back. It definately worked out in the end, right?

Wilhelm merely grunted in response as he followed Wax. He started to reconsider staying on the island. Now that he thought of it, the sheer odds of the kid showing up here was so slim that he wondered why he bothered with the idea in the first place. Well, probably because that there had been no leads back home, and also that those idiots at CRL had been completely unhelpful. No wonder he preferred working alone.
Well, after he dealt with the old crone, he would recheck his options, maybe head back home and try again. Even after almost a decade, he had no intention of quitting this job.
He was just that damn stubborn.
Meanwhile, in the trees, an inconspicuous GIRAFFE clad in green spied upon the two with a pair of OPERA BINOCULEERS.

Just before they were completely out of the Cemetary, Wax spat a sick blob on the ground- a marker for his new living space. "Alright, I'm the light here, but you're the boss, so tell me where exactly East we're heading." He glanced around a little- for a moment, he almost thought he saw a light... Must've been his own.
