He moved the cup of quills into place, and lovingly stroked his finger up their feathered edges. Finger. What a strange appendage, yet it was many times more dextrous than his beak and feet. He placed the ink well next to the cup of quills. These false quills did not hold ink as well as the ones he was used to back home. He would need to gather some new ones on his own later.
Iwamine moved to his large cabinet of medicines. So many wonderful drugs, many of which he'd developed in his own time.
But he was wasting time. He walked to the door and turned the sign hanging in the window so that it was visible to all passing by.

She didn't want to go here, no sir. However... she really didn't have much choice. Kazami insisted that she get looked at after getting beaten to death twice, and Mokou knew not to mess with Yuka. Immortal or no, she wasn't fond of pushing her luck.
"Ehh... at least it can't be any worse than Eintei." She spoke with the receptionist to see if she could get checked. After speaking with her, she sat in the waiting room... waiting.

There was already someone outside. Quite lucky indeed. Iwamine pushed the door open and stuck his head out.
"If the sign says that the doctor is in, that is generally an invitation to let yourself in," Iwamine said and then closed the door behind him.

She jumped slightly at his comment, then mentally smacked herself. Eintei tended to not be that quick of a process for getting in to get looked at, so she had figured that there wouldn't be any difference here. She walked into Shuu's office.
"Okay, I was sent here to get looked at... what do I need to do?"

The doctor sat down behind his desk and examined the girl. A pitiful human, though the white hair was a new one on him. The outfit was rather... strange, as well.
"Just a check up," Iwamine said to himself. "First, I need to know about any medical conditions you may have that may interfere with treatment."

Mokou thought for a moment. Did immortality count as a 'medical condition'? ...Nah, that would imply that it was actively harmful for her.
"Uh... to my knowledge, no, I don't have any medical conditions."
Something about this guy gave Mokou a feeling of unease. She just couldn't put her finger on why, exactly.

> You are now...
The WAYWARD VAGABOND.
You have just woken up in a strange, bright and sterile room. Rubbing your lightheaded forehead, you slowly pull yourself, slowly realizing you are wearing a blue BED GOWN instead of your worn and discolored RAG OF SOULS.
You try to remember what you were doing last. You were trapped in your own SKYSHIP BASE trying to escape after watching the JOHN BOY get killed by JACK NOIR on the base's screens. You remember trying to get out by prying the panels you decorated yourself off the walls. And when that didn't work, you made a lovely fort.
Then... Jack Noir himself showed up. And then... Pain. Indescribably horrible pain. You remember absolutely nothing after this. At this point, your head is still groggy, and you can barely register where you are.

"Hohoho... excellent." That meant that should he find any unexplained situations, he'd be forced to examine further. It was so rare for him to get a chance to examine human anatomy.
He pulled out a hammer from his labcoat and knelt down by Mokou's knee. "This will test your reflexes." And without waiting for her to reply, he tapped her kneecap with his hammer.

When he tapped Mokou's kneecap, her foot shot straight out-and-up.
"Huh... okay..."

Staring aimlessly around as his head caught up with him, he took in more of his surroundings. He realized he was in a soft, fenced in bed in a tiled room, and about half of it was closed off by a white curtain. There was sunlight shining in the big window nearby. He couldn't see anyone around, but he was starting to hear voices.
"H-Hello..." he called out.

"Good, good..." The doctor marked down his observations on a clipboard before moving for the blood pressure measuring device. It was then that WV spoke up. He sighed.
"Ah, it would appear that my other patient is awake... shame. I was hoping to get a chance to examine his unique physiology before he awoke."

Mokou raised an eyebrow at Shuu's statement. Something about this guy was definitely weird. She didn't say anything, though.

The Vagabond stared wildly around as his senses fully returned to him, trying to make sense of everything. "Where am I?" he demanded of no one in particular, though he knew from the fact that there were voices not far off that he could be heard. "Where are my friends? The gun-slinging fellow... The tall, fair questant... Her-Her Postal Majesty???" Given the monstrous archagent was the last person he saw, he grew increasingly worried for the friends he made in exile.
Then something else came to mind. He quickly searched his person and then the bed and tables within reach, growing more anxious as he looked, but he couldn't find it. "Oh nooooooo," he moaned in anxiety, shaking his head. "My treasure...!"

"I would rather appreciate if my other patient would be quiet," Iwamine said quite loudly. He was already growing quite unfond of the carapaced individual. Were he to keep this up, he would be forced to usher one of his patients out while he took care of the other one. And that had a chance to get quite... messy.
"Perhaps we should skip the formalities and get to the important parts of any check up: vaccinations," Iwamine said. "Now, your file stated that you have not had any vaccinations whatsoever... which would mean we would have to apply several to you at once, hmm?"

"Uuhhh..." Mokou thought to herself, 'What the hell is he talking about? Vaccinations?' "I... guess so?"
