Namia sighed at his words. "I guess waiting for commands can get a bothersome," she nearly hissed, looking at Victor's hands in case he wanted to say something- which he did. "...He wants to know what the problem is- I think he wants to help you guys," Namia translated, turning back to Evan. "Most likely for what you're doing for his sister. Since it seems she's the only one who understands his speech, I don't blame him." she smiled, rubbing her eyes.
That's when Victor looked toward the entrance of the building, apparently upset. Namia didn't have to guess- since he seemed to be a guard dog judging by his size alone, he was probably given inhanced senses somewhere along the line. "I'll give you three guesses as to what he's looking at," Namia began, clenching her heart. "and the first two don't count."

"For Victor's question," Evan started, "we're currently going through a bit of a crisis. If you haven't seen the broadcast ten minutes ago, long story short the lab above the island's been hijacked and we're the ones who need to deliver the ransom or the entire place goes boom."
Let it be said that Evan knew how to lay out such a situation into a nutshell.
"As for helping us, the answer will most likely be no." He raised his hand as Victor looked like he was about to object. "Listen, I appreciate the offer to help, but if we can avoid having civilians getting involved, we will. That's just how Crystal Room works. That said, we DO ask for outside help on occasion--example being Strahl--so I'll get back to you on that, but no promises."
Upon Victor being alerted to people outside, he facepalmed. "For the love of--I'll deal with it. Let Miranda know where I am if she asks."
This was officially the worse day ever, and it had barely even started.
"The subspace thing was bad," he muttered as he walked down the lobby, "the thing with Black was bad. The thing with STACCATO was bad. This is almost as worse as Zero."
He slammed open the restaurant doors and snapped, "All right, all of you can go--"
Doctor Jordan Loray stepped back with some surprise at Evan's unfinished outburst.
The two of them stared at each other, Doc with bemusement, Evan with annoyance.
And that's when they both remembered the horde of enraged citizens behind Doc.
Doc ran right into the restaurant before Evan could stop him, leaving him to slam the doors shut before anyone else could follow suit.
"Definitely bad," Evan muttered as he locked the doors. Without any hesitation he walked over to the wall and tapped it, causing a part of it to slide back to reveal a switch. Upon pulling it, large shutters slammed into place at the doors, blocking the view outside.
If they're not going to be civil, then we'll just ignore them, Evan thought. A small cough reminded him of the new guest.
He turned to Doc and said, "Sorry, but if you're here to complain, then I'm going to have to--"
He stopped. The look in Doc's eyes...
He had seen it before way too many times for his liking. It was the look of someone who belonged in a psych ward somewhere. "Who are you?" he asked sharply.
Doc shrugged, not meeting his gaze.
"I'm...Doc Zero," he mumbled. He looked up at Evan. "This is Crystal Room, right?"
It's official--this entire island has it out for us, Evan thought in despair.

Almost like a dog, Victor had followed Evan to the front, going through the doors that lead to the front lobby of the building just as everything closed down- his current translator riding on his shoulder. "I take it you didn't hear his whole sto-" she began, before noticing Doc. "....uh."
Victor's immense size on its own was probably enough to scare someone, hence his actions as a guard dog. He bucked her just a little, making sure she was alright- just as she whispered something to his ear, like a scared child. "...rrrr..." he grumbled in response.

Doc's response to seeing Victor was immediate.
He drew a pistol--where was he keeping that thing?!--and took aim at the big guy.
"HEY!"
Evan grabbed Doc's arm and forced it upwards, the bullet impacting on the ceiling. Doc responded by punching Evan in an attempt to get him to let go.
Evan just gave him a look that said 'Really?' before flipping him into the air. Doc slammed into the ground with a grunt as Evan grabbed his pistol from the air.
Before Doc could get up, Evan placed his foot on his back as he aimed the gun at his head.
"So," he said casually, "Yeah, this is Crystal Room. Welcome to the worst week of your life."
(think we're good for now?)
