Michael slowly stood up, no longer Berserked due to the immense pain he'd felt due to the slash. "Dammit, what is with these Final Fantasy villains and wounds to the midsection?" Redrawing his pistols, he nodded to Gantz. "Thanks."
Marisa stood up as well, though she was still muted and aged.
Shining Armor, on the other hand, cast a spell, racing out and chasing after Twilights 's magic signature, yelling "Me Patra!" as he shot past the witch, removing her muted state, the concern evident in his pace.
Michael said "Where did they go?!"

"So you think your equine friend will be OK," Criminy asked the younger dragon as he scampered over to check on the older.
"I hope so," he replied. "Like that guy said, she can pretty resourceful. But that Exdeath guy..." He shuddered. "His name enough gives me the heebie-jeebies." Gently nudging, he asked, "Cynder? You all right?"

Upon getting healed up, Cynder shook off her dizziness and looked about. "I... I will be fine... But where is Exdeath-?"
CRASH!!!!
Upon finishing up his round of healing up Cynder (The dragoness noting briefly how similar the spell felt to being healed by red crystals), he examined Marissa a moment as Shining Armor ran out the door. "Judging by that sound? Somewhere down the way." He winced. "I hope they aren't in the Gamestop, that's one of my favorite stores." He let out a stressed groan. "Well, while I worry about that, let's see what we can do about this aging. If I recall you weren't always... Well, forgive me but, wrinkly." With that said, he proceeded to think deeply. "Now let me see, how does one deal with the 'Old' status ailment again? Hmmm, think Gantzy boy, think."
[The Old status ailment isn't really one you see in Ivalice after all.]
------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Gantz would've likely REALLY gotten pissed when he saw what was going on.
Twilight and Exdeath HAD reappeared in the game store... And they were causing one really big mess. "TORNADO!!!" Exdeath by that point wasn't even bothering with Void energy. Whenever he tried to pull Twilight in, she'd just warp away. So he was stuck with other magicks.
With the Unicorn, she responded to the funnel of wind by quickly firing off a concussive blast of magic from her horn, but it bounced off of the wild winds and blasted Nintendo Wii Accessories either into oblivion or off the walls scattering them about. "Okay... Not one of my best ideas..." Twilight quickly thought through her list of magical abilities, which one would serve a good purpose here?
....... Her eyes widened. "Wait a second... A small variation but... Maybe..." Her horn glowed brightly it's light magenta hue. "Try this!!"
With a ray of magic, the wind surrounding Exdeath seemed to glow magenta too before it dissipated. "?! What?!" Twilight blasted the armored freak out of the air where he crashed into the cashier desk. Appearing annoyed, he pushed himself to his feet, hearing coins fall from the destroyed cash register. "Grrr... Very impressive..."
"Number 16 with a few variations." The Unicorn said with a smug grin. "Who would've thought a wind spell mainly used for playing river reeds could be used in new ways?"
....................... "River Reeds?" Something told Twilight that telling Exdeath that had not been a wise idea. "You must come from a very peaceful world to create a wind spell for such a... USELESS reason." He narrowed his eyes. "Magic in itself is an art and power supposed to be used to inspire change unto the world around you."
Twilight clopped a hoof into the floor, "No need to tell me that. I already know. And here's something I learned from this world." Her horn glowed again. "Please let this work....... FIRE!!" A ball of fire launched out of the horn and hit Exdeath full long........
However it didn't appear to do much damage. "...... Amusing little one... However, allow ME to show you how to use Fire."
He formed a fireball in his hand.... one that was HUGE when compared to the one that Twilight had just thrown out. "Firaga. The second highest form of the Fire Spell... However, this will be all that I will need, to turn you into a pile of ash and glue."
The pony's eyes widened fearfully and quickly backed up, hitting a display for 'Kingdom Hearts 3D', making her jump when it fell over. When she saw the Firaga spell fire out at her, she was quick to teleport out of the way...
However, landing just outside of the gamestop she was just inside wasn't the best idea.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! The shockwave completely caught Twilight by surprise and sent her sprawling in a play area for kids, her horse-hide covered with burns and bruises. "Owowowowowowow...."

Michael's response to Gantz was "Maybe just Esuna. Een though Marisa kinda fits the stereotypical witch right now..." He yelled as she smacked his upside the head with her broomstick. "Yeah, change her back; I like her as a snarky young witch more than a crotchety old one."
Shining Armor had raced through the mall, having found the two combatants at the store. Then he saw his sister get blasted. Something in his mind just snapped; his Big Brother Instinct, perhaps. He slowly began walking towards the store.

Spike chuckled quietly to himself at that brief moment of slapstick between Mike and Marisa. A bit of comic relief was welcome in this time. Making a sweeping check of everyone else still there, he noticed someone else was missing. "Great!" he cried, throwing his claws up in frustration. "Now where'd Shining go???"
"You mean the older white unicorn?" asked Criminy, as he pointed out the door. "I presume he went looking for Miss Twilight."

....... "Esuna? ....REALLY? Is it THAT easy?" Gantz seemed to mutter to himself. "One would think that something like this would take Time Magic as opposed to a simple Esuna... but never look a gift horse in the mouth I suppose." Shrugging, he charged the Esuna spell and cast it on Marisa. Immediately, her wrinkles vanished and her white hair returned to it's usual yellow. "Well there! That fixes that!"
After saying that, he looked upon the bunch with a smile and a nod. "Anyways, I thank you guys for helping me deal with Exxy, stubborn son of a bitch he is. I've been trying to get him off my back for a while."
Cynder nodded to this, "Us help you? You're not that bad of a healer... you really helped us out there."
"Well your welcome." The young man appeared even more giddy at this but kept himself composed. "Well now I just need my book and I can get on my way."
BOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!
The group jumped at this, unaware that the kaboom had been Exdeath's earlier Firaga. ".... Well, that doesn't sound good..." He quickly rushed ahead of the others.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
From the fiery store, Exdeath appeared; the heat and the flames licking around his armor but otherwise not affecting him in the slightest. As he walked out, he found Shining Armor standing before him defiantly. His eyes narrowed at the colt, and he held out a hand charging another spell. "Out of my way WORM."
"Shining!!!!" Now it was Twilight's turn to cry put in fear. She knew Shining, powerful as he was Exdeath was too much. "Shining get away from him!!!"

Shining Armor barely registered Twilight's yell. His Makarakarn spell from earlier was still enveloping his body, making his body seem to shimmer a little bit as he said to Exdeath, "Never." The stallion stood firmly in front of his sister, his horn glowing as he cast one more spell, his gaze still quite angry. "Tetrakarn." A second glow joined with the first.
Michael and Marisa dashed out of the Library, towards where they'd heard the explosion.

Spike and Criminy exchanged glances, not sure what to do other than follow close behind the others. Which they did.

Exdeath merely chortled at the colt's words, insult and annoyance melting away into nothing short of pure unbridled amusement. There was no doubt about it, he found that statement to be greatly laughable. With the first part of that exchange spoken, his sword floated beside him before his hand reached out and grabbed it. "And what would you do, if I made you?" He briefly noted the magical glow around the Colt and grinned even more. "As much as I find your defensive measure's cute, there is only so much insubordination I will be willing to take... So move aside before my patience wears even more thin then it already has."
When Shining didn't move, Exdeath's eyes narrowed. "You can try what you want, EQUINE... But the little one DID ask me to 'MAKE HER' give me the book. I am merely following through on her request." He held up a hand, a spell charging... One that looked even more dangerous then anything before. "Make no mistake, I have no conscience. If I must banish both of you to the Void to get to the book... THEN SO BE IT."
His energy sparked dangerously, a black aura flowing out of him like a raging stream. "Let the memories of your folly haunt you for the rest of your days... AS YOU AND YOUR ALLY FLOAT IN THE PITS OF NOTHINGNESS... FOR ALL OF [shadow=purple,left,300]ETERNITY."[/shadow]

Shining's enraged look intensified, his horn glowing brightly. "I don't care what you say."
The glow intensified further as Michael and Marisa got closer.
"I don't care how strong you are. I don't care what you're capable of doing. You will not. Harm. My. SISTER!"
Shining's horn glowed almost blindingly bright as the stallion gave a loud yell.
Shining's strength was in defensive magic, especially more solid barriers. The stallion didn't know anything about the more offensive capabilities of such magic, but in his instinctive rage, his normal peaceful nature was gone. Exdeath had harmed and threatened his sister and he was going to pay.
He placed a small barrier right in Exdeath's center before rapidly expanding it, blowing the armored behemoth to pieces. As his rage dissipated, the knowledge of what had been done... what he had done... it overwhelmed the stallion; he hyperventilated for a while... before collapsing, passing completely out.
Michael and Marisa raced over, the witch checking the stallion's pulse. "He's... out cold."
Michael's blood had run cold when he saw what Shining had done. "...H-Holy shit..."

The dragon hatchling and the young human man arrived on the scene not long after Michael and Marisa and surveyed the scene. Spike couldn't believe his eyes. The huge and powerful monster of a foe was in pieces, and the typically pacifistic stallion was lying unconscious presumably after having committed the deed.
The dragon could only stare incredulously for a few moments before choking out in disbelief, "Shining... did this???"
"How on Earth...?!" Criminy behind him was just as shocked at the sight, but of course for less personal reasons. He adjusted his glasses as he observed the site.

Spike being in disbelief was nothing...
Poor Twilight had paid witness to the entire thing, and she hadn't moved too much upon seeing the sight. Her expression was locked in a state of shock, her eyes wide and her jaw hanging open. Her ears even hung down in her shock at the sight she just saw. "Sh-Shining...." She was trembling in horror and revulsion, unsure of what to make of what she saw. The want to puke was becoming more and more apparent.
As the horrific realization sunk in, only one person seemed to be taking this better then the others.
Gantz looked at the remains of the light blue armor scattered across the floor, looking surprised but not necessarily sickened. "......." An impressed whistle followed his silence. "Poor bastard... Probably never saw it coming." He shook his head at the remains before looking to Shining Armor... "I think what disturbs me more about this was the fact that HE did this."
Slowly walking up, Cynder looked to the young man as he carefully looked over Shining. "Why?"
"Because the ponies come from an entirely different world then what your familiar with Cynder." He sighed as he looked to Twilight. "Where they come from, magic hasn't been considered for battle purposes... Well... At least not for such a brutal means. What just happened here is sorta like dumping a load of blood red paint on a technicolor canvas."
Cynder lowered her head at this, before looking back to him... "Will he be okay?"
It was safe to say Doctor Gantz had taken the reins. "He's fine. He just passed out from the shock... Though I will be blunt, I hope he forgets what has happened here. Exdeath deserved the death he was served... But I can never, in a million years, say someone like Shining deserves to live with the memory."
"Sh-Shining...."
The two looked to find Twilight barely clopping over, stumbling every few steps in her daze. She looked the group up and down, tears in her eyes, and her face alternating almost between the usual purple and a nausious green. "H-He's-" There was concern in her voice, as one might imagine. Despite the situation, Gantz smiled.
"He will be fine... But something tells me Twilight... That he's going to need you with him more then ever after this. This is a tough situation... But one that can be cured with a little love, compassion, and kindness."

Shining Armor was still unconscious on the ground, though the stallion's body was shivering slightly and a few tears were dripping down his face.
Marisa scratched her head. "Eesh... poor guy... I feel bad for him..."
Michael was shaking his head. "I still can't believe he did something like that... that's... crazy..."

Spike just stood there, arms limp and slack jawed, saying nothing. The human stepped forward, still a little stunned himself but able to find his voice as he stepped forward to look between the damage and the wizard healing the unicorn.
"Well..." he quietly forced himself to pipe up, in an attempt to look on the bright side, "It was probably for the best, I guess... I mean, if a powerful behemoth like that got his hands on such a potent arcane spell book..."

"Yeah... I'd rather not even think about that..." Gantz quickly cut Criminy off, likely he already had a vague idea. With that said, he looked to Twilight. "By the way... The book?"
...... Slowly, hesitantly, she pulled the book from her partially destroyed Saddlebag and handed it to the wizard before her. Gantz took the book and looked it over... Not even a scratch or burn on it... "Heh... This book has rather strange tendencies it seems. I can carry it with me anywhere and yet, if I get into a fight, it never once gets harmed in the crossfire. Curious that."
With that said, he put the book away into a pocket dimension on his person. "Anyways, I've given Shining a round of healing, and some nightmare supressors. He should be okay for the time being... But he'll be better off if he has all of you there too. His sister, his step-brother, his friends... You understand right?"
.................................. Twilight nodded and slowly clopped over to Shining... Tearfully, she nuzzled him. "I'm... I'm sorry Brother... I'm sorry I couldn't have h-helped more...."
As the sweet and tender moment continued on, Gantz got up from his crouch and walked over to Marisa and Michael. "..... I trust you two will help too?" At their response, he nodded. "Good... Just understand I love those two, and others like them too much to see them in situations like this. So look after them...." He let out a sigh. "Also..."
He suddenly reached into his pack and pulled out the Gran Grimiore, placing it in Marisa's hands. "I was wondering if you might take this for me... You see... The book once served a special purpose for me. A kind of transportation system from my home to another world I once loved... However, both of them are gone now... And as I have translated almost all of the pages from the book's thick runes itself and copied them, I no longer have need for the original text... And perhaps, burning it will make sure no-one else tries to seek it. It's magic will be lost, but only to those who do not know the truth."
The young man let out a sigh. "I'd... I'd do it myself but... I have an emotional connection with the book in a way... I know it must be done, but I can't bare to destroy it myself... Will you help me?"
