As a figure fell and landed surprisingly on their feet, their eyes darted around. This was the mercenary Crescent or as friends knew them, Artemis. Contrary to how the figure dressed they were actually a female but had the appearance of a young adult male.
"Great and I almost had the target," Artemis muttered in a gruff tone that she used when ever she was working as to keep up the illusion of being a guy. "Boss is going to have my hide for this one. Now the question is how do I go back?"
Looking at her surroundings Artemis could tell that she wasn't on the back streets of New York anymore. And it definitely wasn't night anymore either.
The assorted shops and bright skies somewhat confused Artemis as she walked along the roads.

Meanwhile, not far from Artemis' location, shouts of 'Get him!' and 'Assassino!' could be heard. Ezio ran through the Plaza, turning down an alleyway where one of his newest Reclutas was lying in wait. They had reason to believe that one of this group of Templars had information relevant to the group's presence on the Dimensional Island.
As Ezio dashed down the alleyway with surprising agility for being in his fifties, he gave a whistle, signaling to be ready. The Templar group followed him in.

As the Templars ran into the alleyway after Ezio, they didn't take notice at all of the young figure standing atop the rooftop. From where she stood, Vanessa grinned when she heard the whistle...
And after taking a moment to use the spell Foresight, and plan out how this would work, Vanessa jumped from the rooftop with all of the dexterity and grace you'd expect from a cat. After a few moments of her jet like nose dive; very much like a cat, she twirled herself around and aimed her feet at the man that lead the pack of Templars, someone whom's uniform looked a bit more regal then the others...
THUD!!!!! Her foot collided with his head... THUD!!!!!!!!!!!! Before the other one floored him into the ground HARD. The poor idiot never saw the blow coming.
The other Templars meanwhile looked PISSED as they took in the new girl. "ASSASSINO!!! KILL HER!!!"
Yeah, like their actually gonna do that.
"DREADUM!!"
And within seconds of the purplish flash that followed, the Templars saw Vanessa much differently then previously. They felt fear strike their hearts unlike any fear they felt in their lives. The Assassin stood up from her kill and grinned at the templars before her with a wide grin...
Then she took of the hood of her black robes, to reveal her grinning expression... Her yellow eyes... Her cat ears... And at that moment, the Templars no longer saw an assassin. They saw a flat out CAT DEMON in an assassin robe. Chuckling to herself, she gave a loud cat like YEOWL which sent the templars running for the hills, screaming their fool heads off. Leaving Vanessa to laugh her ass off as she turned her attention back on the Templar leader she had taken out.
"Okay, let's see... Those papers have to be somewhere on this idiot's person..."

Artemis' attention turned toward the noise.
At least this place is lively, she thought before walking towards the noise and smirking as she watched several others run.
As she walked it slowly turned into more of a run before she skidded to a stop in front of the older gentleman and what seemed to be a cat demon girl thing.
"Hit list?" she asked calmly in the male voice as she saw one dead.

Ezio watched the newcomer walk over, shrugging. "Ehh... not exactly." He turned towards Vanessa. "Well done, Vanessa. Was our intel correct?" He thought to himself, 'She has definitely earned a Servitore rank. That is a useful spell; usually, I'd have to kill two or three of them before they'd run...'
He turned back towards Artemis. "Now... who might you be?"

"Just call me Crescent, sir," Artemis answered still with the guy's voice. "Seems your apprentice is really good at what she does."
"So who are you and her?" she asked still calm.

Vanessa didn't regard the person that had entered the scene, she was too preoccupied searching the corpse before her. "Working on it Sir Ezio... We'll see in just a moment." She continued feeling around the robes trying to feel something abnormal amidst all of the cloth and armor...
After a moment, she appeared to find something in the robe... "Hmmm...." Finding no pocket however, she resorted to cutting open a hole in the fabric with a knife. "..... Ah-hah!"
Out of the hole she cut out of the robe, she pulled out what looked like a few pieces of parchment bound together. "Looks like my ole pal was spot on, sir Ezio. I certainly found something." She handed the parchment to Ezio before she continued searching the body. Maybe for some coin or something along those lines.

"Bene. Good to see your friend has good information." He turned back towards Artemis. "Now... before I can say, I must ask something of you first. What, if anything, do you know of an organization called the Templars?"

Artemis gave Ezio a confused look.
"None, sir. Never heard of them until you mentioned it now," she answered calmly.
Artemis was being truthful as her body relaxed a small bit and she leaned against a wall.

Vanessa appeared to finish searching the body and was grinning that cat like grin when she found herself carrying a Persian Scimitar, a Crossbow, two vials were prominent in her robe pocket and, judging by the jingling sound, it sounded likely that she had found money as well. "I must say Sir Ezio, I hope we do this more often. I'll certainly be paying my bills today, and have some money left for myself."
With her attention off of her general looting, she took in the person before her. Sorta looked male, but Vanessa couldn't really tell. Oh whatever. "Who are you supposed to be?" Vanessa said as she hid the sword and crossbow on her person.

Ezio thought to himself a minute. "I see... well, put most simply, the Templars are an ancient organization that wish to bring about 'peace' by controlling everyone, leaving them with no free will. We are part of an equally-ancient organization that opposes them... the Assassins." He watched 'Crescent', trying to gauge his reaction.

Artemis nodded before pushing off the wall.
"Templars equal evil and Assassins are the good guys," she summed it up before looking at the cat girl, the male act still going strong. "Name's Crescent."
"Who are you two?" she asked before looking at the body again.

Vanessa regarded the question sent hers and Ezio's way with a non-caring eye-roll. Crossing her arms, she leaned against the nearby wall. "Name's Vanessa. People call me the Black Cat Samurai." She grinned a bit. "Now, I'm an assassin. What can I say? This job pays well, it's rewarding... And at times it can be fun as hell."
She allowed a small spark of flame to dance along her fingertips. "I'm also a skilled wizard. It's a gift."

"What is it you wish to know?" Artemis replied calmly. "I just got here and was in the middle of a job. Besides where is here?"
Artemis figured that would be the safest way to say she was new and that she was a slightly open book.
