As the metaphorical 'sun' rose on the Geodesic Cavern, we find that the caverns are as peaceful as ever... Which is saying something considering that this is the cave where dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts live and coexist. In this ancient and undisturbed land we find that not much has changed in it since our last excursion into the land through the eyes of an uncertain visitor...
............
At that moment however, we learn that not even this miniature world is free from Dimensional Island's many oddities, and many clashes... How?
Smoke was rising from the trees. It was a thick black smoke too...
Something had caught on fire in this ancient jungle...

As we zoom in on the source of the smoke, we find what appears to be a an odd creature taking in a flower that had somehow caught on fire. That's not all however, fires seemed calmly licked the grass around the creature, as if the flames were not ravenous, but, rather, at leisure.
"... Mmmm..." The creature grunted, her feminine, humanoid form pouting. "Isn't there one flower I can touch that won't catch on fire?" She said this in a rather childish tone, before brushing a stray, burning lock out from in front of her eye, the humidity making her fire-hair droop a tad... But only a tad.
As she looked around, her eyes caught on a smooth black stone... Her eyes appeared to water some odd red flame, as she reached out and took it... With a brisk movement, she kissed the stone a quick moment before setting it down. In her memories however, she could only wish that a certain someone could be there with her to kiss the stone along with her. It may have seemed odd to some, but to her, it made perfect sense.
She really hoped that she would soon find her prince...
Taking the rock with her, she stood to her feet and looked around at her surroundings once more... This looked like the sort of place Finn would love getting lost in, there was just so much to see, explore... Plus plenty of trees and vines for stunts. He really liked his stunts.
As she continued looking around, she cared little that her earlier flames had spread somewhat and was traveling up a nearby tree. Really, that was how people of the Fire Kingdom fought boredom. Some even used it as a means of nourishment. The more flames they had and the more the flames ate, the healthier they were.
As you'd expect however, she failed to take into account how the locals would react.

Currently bickering inside one of their pre-made nests, a supply of adorable white chimps were currently tossing about, grabbing fruits left by their godfather and eating at their leisure. There were also slabs of scaled meat lying around, most likely belonging to the reptiles living in the rocky expanse nearby. Occasionally some would burp up small snowflakes, while others would swirl around in eachother's arms. All in all, life was good.
Good, until the smell of smoke drove them into screams. Though the tree wasn't theirs, it was within eyeshot. And each little ember shrivling up the leaves made their cries worse. Eventually one ember traveled towards a closer tree, upsetting them to terrified shrieks.
Strangely enough, snow began to fall down around the area, the temperature beginning to drop. many of the snowflakes landed on the stray embers, putting out the fires. An upsetting roar belowed from nearby, an enormous, shaggy creature bursting from behind the trees. Each roar seemed to make the snow fall faster, while the beast's breath seemed to be freezing cold anyway. Grass freezing as he stepped on it, he quickly gained on the source of the upset-
And his snarling teeth said he didn't like her.

The girl of flames appeared not to notice the screeching sounds given she was too close to the tree that was burning down. The crackling of the flames took up her ears, and she smiled an innocent smile, daydreaming about her prince as she started to walk. She hadn't noticed the flames starting to spread to the next neighboring tree.
SSS!!!!
"OW!!!" The female had a pained expression on her face as something appeared to happen. Looking up, she found the flames in the trees seemingly being put out by a furious snow fall. Her main body was spared as she was under the cover of some trees, however the flames weren't spared similarly. "OW OW OW!!!" Sure she was tougher about pain these days after the many months she dated her prince and he's had to put himself out after getting burned, but the snowfall falling on her flames might as well have felt like hail pelting her directly.
She quickly withdrew her flames back into herself and teared up a bit. "What just happened?!"
It was only when she heard a roar that she got her answer.
She turned to find the huge shaggy creature standing there, breathing out pure ice, freezing the ground as he walked towards her... And it looked MAD.
... But... Why?
"Why are you attacking me?!" She said with a growl that was growing angrier with each second. "I didn't do anything to you!!" She appeared to be getting ready to conjure up more flames. The pain from earlier had quickly set in and now she was just plain ENRAGED. "I'm not afraid to melt you, you icey ape!" Her voice cracked in her rage. She almost sounded psychotic now.

Small screeches were heard in the trees. Scared enough to leave their tree, the chimps started scurrying into the ground in a hurry, trying to take cover. Their chief stared down the burning girl, still snarling. For just a moment he seemed to be calmer, turning his attention toward a close tree- and noticing the kids had scattered.
He growled incoherrently. He was getting too old for this crud. Giving the princess one last glare, he took off into the trees, trying to find the kids. No sooner than he left, his summoned snowstorm began to diminish, turning into smaller snow flakes before vanishing all together.
What he didn't notice was that one of them had found Flame Princess without being detected. This little male was overly curious about her smell, of all things.

When FP heard the screeching, she was quick to look up into the tree that it came from. Her eyes widened at the sight of the little ones climbing down... And how, from the burnt and shriveled up leaves, how her fires had been traveling to the tree they were in earlier.
"Oh...." Well... Now Flame Princess just felt like a jerk. She hadn't meant to put anyone close to harm. That was just how she was. She calmed down a bit as the giant and shaggy creature went to tend to the little ones. At least his attention was off of her-
Oh?
Flame Princess found her attention caught on the little one slowly approaching her, taking slight sniffs of her. "Oh!" She smiled a bit. "Hi there. I guess you know that big guy huh?" She sighs. "Personally, I think he's a butt... But I guess he must be a pretty cool guy to you."
The little one let out a light squeal, letting FP realize that he probably didn't understand her. She smiled a bit at the cute little thing. "Heheheh. You're pretty cute aren't you-?"
She noticed the little one drawing closer to her. "Oh! Don't come too close! I'm too hot for you to touch!" She didn't mean that figuratively either.

The little guy kept inching toward her, eventually reaching out a finger to poke her- and was significantly upset by the contact. He even licked his finger to try and stop the hurt.

She winced when she heard the little one let out a small squeal and start licking it's finger to heal the burn. "OH! Oh man are you okay-!" She quickly stopped herself from rushing to check on the burn, for fear of causing more injury in the process. She took a step back as the ape continued licking it's finger, all the while her head lowered. "I'm... I'm sorry...." She said in a low pathetic voice.

The small child just tilted its head at her, rolling over on the ground. He really, really couldn't understand a thing she was saying.

It became apparent to Flame Princess after a moment of this that the little creature simply could not understand her. She looked at the ape a moment, she turned around to take a moment to think. "Hmmm... I wonder what I should do here... It's obvious I can't ask him where Finn is... Plus that big one got on my case for almost burning them..." She looked to the little one a moment before turning back to her thoughts. ".... Maybe I should just go..."

Interupting her moment of leaving, the child's godfather stepped out from the brush, nine little apes hanging from various points of his body- all but the top of his head. He snorted, a brief powder of snowflakes fleeing his throat, as he observed the flaming girl. That's when he noticed the child- and immedietely assumed the worste.
The kid didn't, though- he clapped his hands like the little white monkey he was, and proceeded to handstand over to his father figure. He flipped over, then ran around the girl, shrieking what could've been praise. Soon after, he leaped over to the massive beast's head, landing on it and taking his spot. Confused, the massive ape landed on its rear, looking at the princess in an attempt to understand why the child liked her so much.

A few seconds after the ape sat down on the ground, FP followed suit and sat down on the grassy ground herself. The fires spread around her a moment as if to offer a pillow, but FP willed the flames to not stretch any farther then that.
FP and the chief exchanged soul searching gazes. FP doing it for little reason other the curiosity (unaware that the chief was doing this for the same reason). Why would that little one think she was any good. She was harmful to their environment, and she burned the little one... So why is it the little one seemed to like her?
She lowered her head after a moment, her face an expression of discomfort. "I'm... Sorry about your little friends... I'l just go..." She got to her feet and withdrew her flames back into her body. "You have some pretty cool kids there sir..." Her tone was much more calmed down then before.

Just like that, the little hat jumped off of his head. running toward her, he did the exact same thing as before- poked her, winced, then licked his finger. The boy's siblings, as well as godfather, saw this, and approached her. The chief poked her, and, amazingly, nothing really happened. His chilled body made him immune to the burning effect. Instead, it made a little drop of water appear.
They had just found a good source of water.

FP was... shocked when she found the ones poking her and then licking their fingers. It wasn't even by accident either, the little ones seemed to do it all on purpose IN SPITE of her innate burning abilities. Upon closer inspection, in fact, she found that the young ones didn't even seem that hurt.
That was when the bigger creature poked her...
He didn't even seem to react at all. Heck FP was the one that reacted, wincing somewhat before the feeling of hurt passed. The creature seemed to be a source of cold beyond anything FP could once comprehend. This creature was the pinnacle of cold where she was the pinnacle of hot.
"Huh?" She looked to the chief's finger as the giant did the same...
After a long hard moment, the princess of the Fire Kingdom blinked. "You touching me made water?" She at least understood what water was, thanks to her knowledge of water elementals, and the things she got to see in the world outside...
.......... Hold on.... Something that turned into water when introduced to heat? Why did that sound familiar?.... It hit her a moment later. She looked to the chief with an expression of curiosity and wonderment. "Are you Ice Elementals?"
It suddenly made sense. They had never before seen something like FP because, as a Fire Elemental she was their exact opposite. She could still be harmful to them... But only, it seemed, if she flat out attacked them. And she would never do that. She knew what Ice was because, once Finn had tried taking her to the domain of the Ice King and things took their usual turn. Needless to say, the Ice King would, at the very least, think twice about trying to keep her locked up in an ice dungeon inside his iced lair... She also had few doubts that the old sociopath would need weeks to repair his 'bachelor pad' as he called it.
Considering all of this she looked at her apparent nwew friends in a whole new light. "You ARE Ice Elementals!" She looked to the little ones as one reached out to poke her once more. She waves the little one away making sure not to touch him. "Let's not do that all the time. It must still hurt you after all."
She sorta wished that Finn was here... He'd be able to help her be understood better since these creatures would likely react to touch.

The group of them clapped and howled at her, all of them dancing, while their godfather simply growled happily. He seemed to head into a random direction, ushering her to follow him.

FP watched as the little ones seemed to celebrate for reasons beyond her. She wasn't really sure why they were so excited. Still, when she saw the chief walk a few steps away, and then turn back to motion to her to follow him...
Where would he take her? Where would he go? Did she want to go?
...... Briefly her eyes traveled to the younglings as they continued dancing about, not giving her any sort of suspicious looks or anything... They liked her because she could make water when she combined just her presence with their abilities.

Maybe... She liked that. She smiled a bit as she thought this, almost blushing.
Really... It felt... Good to be appreciated...

Several hours later as we reopen the scene in the Geodesic Caverns, we find what appears to be a familliar face descending down a rope into the caverns. She remembered so long ago how she had visited this wonderous land, met it's wonderous people... And met said people's powerful and respectible chief. Really, thinking on it, Aqua couldn't believe she hadn't come back down to visit sooner. She adored the Ice Apes, from their younglings to their leader. They were all just dear friends.
"Hmmm... Let's see now, where did I go when I first came here?"
Aqua looked around a moment trying to recollect her memories of the old times... "Okay... I fell down this cliff when I heard a roar... then I traveled... East?" She thought some more, as she tried to recall the correct direction. "Or was it west? Ugh... Why can't I remember?"
It wasn't Aqua's fault really, a lot had been going on since she had last seen the Ice Ape's and left their home to return to the surface. She had had a lot of things on her mind since then. "Okay, just calm down Aqua... You just need to think..."
