He nodded. "I understand."
-----
"The reason they're not built for consumption is because their make-up won't allow it," Fennel added in. "Though large, females are mostly fat, while the smaller males are mostly muscle. That's one reason why they're the same weight despite female adults being four times the size of a male."
Namia slapped her own cheek. "That much difference?! My stars, those little babies outside are going to grow a lot later, aren't they?"
Fennel nodded. "Something else not commonly noticed is that they're omnivorous. Males have larger fangs than females because they're hunters, wheras the females usually drop by an island and nibble on any fruits their tongues can gather." Noticing the odd looks, she shrugged. "They're too big to just grab a fruit. They need to have some way to eat without relying on their mate."
Though he gave Wil a wave, Victor was actually more interested in what Fennel was saying. Of course, Frankie still clung to him, lightly sparking from her cold.

Dark Pit was not the type to sit down and wait. If you wanted things to happen, you MAKE them happen, as he once said to Pit.
Pit's response, in DP's opinion, was less than intelligent.
Seriously, that Pit-Stain could be a complete clod sometimes.
...though now he hoped that Pit wasn't panicking over him at the moment. He could go over the top sometimes, especially after the whole Chaos Kin fiasco.
Okay, priorities, Dark Pit told himself. Find out where you are, see if you can find a way out of here, fix up your wings--a trip to the Rewind Spring is probably in order, he thought in distaste; he didn't fancy having to take another trip through the City of Souls. The first time was bad enough. Once you're healed up, get back to the lab and kick Ralsis's ass so hard his ancestors will feel it.
He got off from the bed and stretched--well, at least he was capable of walking at any rate...
"Well, look at that, she's a regular zoologist," said Wil as he tossed the report onto the table. "'Course, doesn't really answer the question of what they're doing here in the first place," he added as he propped his feet onto said table with his hands clasped in his lap. "We've got a wannabe genocidal maniac with a Death Star over our heads, we don't need another Sky Whale Breeding season."
He noticed their looks at 'another'. "Don't ask. Though now that I think about it," he said as he tapped a finger to his chin, "Might actually have a use for these things--" He shook his head. "Nah, stupid idea."
Cue the crackling intercom. "Captain Wright, please report the interrogation room."
Well, that was interesting. "Think they cracked their prisoner yet?" he asked jokingly.
Miranda heard the announcement. "I'm sorry, Crona, but I'm going to have to wrap this up. Don't be afraid to explore the facility, but be noted that you won't be allowed in certain areas--or outside the building, due to the current danger--without supervision. If you're hungry or thirsty, don't be afraid to ask for refreshments."
She had to admit it, she thought as she left the room, she had a soft spot for kids like Crona. She couldn't help but worry even if she had met the kid only hours earlier.
And she was the one who had no plans on having any children. She was odd.
Then again, Crystal Room Limited. Normal was subjective.

Namia crossed her legs. "It's a clone specifically designed to follow instruction. She's probably said everything they asked."
"If that includes bra size, I'm laughin'," joked Wax, chuckling to himself before a laser spear stabbed him between the eyes. "Hey, you're a pretty good shot."
"Thanks for noticing."
"Back on subject," Fennel interupted, her digitless hands waving. Yes, Ventasales are fully capable of keeping passengers. Most three year olds take passengers all the time." She adjusted her hat, adding, "However, they can't breach atmospheres. Many have tried."
Namia fell silent. "...and?"
"She and her mate are the reason we know they're inedible."
Everyone in earshot gulped. That detail was a little sick.
-----
Crona softly smiled. S/he waved as the woman left the room.
"Somebody's got a cruu-uush~"
Crona's surprise was met with Ragnarok's tiny fists in his face. "You gonna screw around with every woman you meet, hotshot?!"
"Hey!! Don't hurt me like that- she was being nice to me, that's all!"

“Lovely,” Wilhelm quipped.
Evan was watching the clone through the one way window with some frustration when Miranda arrived. “Let me guess, busy with Chroma?”
“Chrona, and yes. I told him he'll be staying in the building until this whole mess is straightened out.” She directed her attention to the window. “What've you got?”
“Nothing we weren't able to figure out ourselves, unfortunately,” was the reply. “I guess Aiman was smart enough to not give the clone too much intel. Rando's grilled her for all she's worth, but if there's anything else she's hiding she's good at it.”
“Have you considered a mental feedback? Try to look into the original's mind through the clone?”
“I remember what a mental feedback is, Miranda, I took the course. Anyway, we don't know if the clone's connected to her mentally or magically yet,” said Evan. “And since we've only got one clone, well, you can imagine why we're not jumping to try it.”
“Fantastic. Let me speak with her, then.”
“You sure? You might not be able to get anything else.”
“It's worth a shot, isn't it?”

The clone in question looked outright horrified. "Please, j-just... L-let me die... I'm a failure of a clone! Just let me disappear!" Despite her efforts, all she got were stare and head shakes. "P-please...?"
With the sudden opening of a door, her head turned. "N-not you again..."

It was only a clone.
Still, the mere sight of Aiman's visage irritated her to no end.
Patience, Miranda, she told herself, you can beat the crap out of the original when you've got your hands on her.
Now, how to go on about this...
“I'll take over from here,” she told The Amazing Rando, who was sitting across from the Aiman clone. “You can wait outside.”
“You sure?” he asked. “I don't know if there's anything else left she's going to cough up. If there is, she's a tough nut to crack.”
“I think I can handle it, Rando,” Miranda replied. “Now, if you don't mind? Oh, except you two,” she added to the two agents also present, “stay here, just in case.”
Rando left, grumbling, “Oh, sure, they get to stay and I don't...” Miranda took his seat across from Clone!Aiman and cleared her throat.
Though the clone interrupted before she could say a word...
"Moving past the implications of Sky Whale Flapjacks," Wilhelm continued, "Assuming we can tame these things so we can ride them up to the lab, odds are Ralsis will see us coming a mile away unless they can turn invisible. Though odds are giant flying humpbacks will be the last thing he'll be expecting, in which case I only wish I could see his face if we do that."
Little did any of them know that Dark Pit was listening at the door of the dining theater at that very moment.
Whoever had been left in charge of him while he was unconscious were guaranteed to get a demotion for leaving him unattended.

"pleasejustkillmerightnowI'vedonetoomuchforyoualreadyIshouldn'tevenstillbehere-"
The sound of a hammer nearby made her freeze. "...I.... could tell you about our prisoner...?
----------
"Hmmm..." Fennel couldn't stop pondering over that one. Meanwhile, two of the more sensetive people in the room- Namia and Victor- were staring straight at a door, not that interested in the cuttent topic.
"Though it's true that a girl can carry passengers if she's big enough," Fennel sighed. "we couldn't all fit on her unless she was an adult."
"I take it they're that huge, huh?" Wax groaned. "Great."

Oh, NOW she decided to be forthcoming.
“I'd like that a lot, miss,” Miranda replied, “and I would appreciate it if you spare no detail.
“So Sky Whale mounts are right out,” Wilhelm commented, “despite being a stupid idea to begin with. We'd have better luck getting up there by riding on that angel's back with him having no wings at all.”
“HEY!”
Whoops.
Wilhelm rolled his eyes as he looked to the door. “About time you joined us, kiddo. Come in, might as well take a seat and get comfy.”
Must...control...fist of death... Dark Pit told himself.

Namia smiled. "I was wondering when you'd be healed enough to come out again." Considering her insight, a parallel drawn to viridi wouldn't have been out of the question.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Dark Pit."
Wax darted his eyes. "...what they said."
=====
"Umm... she's small. And she's full of scars and stitches. She... also has really big hands- I-I'm not making this up, the kid is really cute, but kind of weird looking at the same time-"
