She has basic telekinesis. She is a master musician when it comes to vinyl records and electronic music. She can also rap, and considers herself to be great at it. She's also a very capable fighter, once taking out a pack of trolls (while searching for her Cloudsmith album) without even getting a scratch on her body.
Personality
She is an outgoing and upbeat pony, doing her best to entertain the crowd, her signature grin never leaving her face.
At least, that's how she is on stage. Off of it, she is an ordinary pony. She is slightly depressed, but powers through that for her friends and fans. She is rather jaded when it comes to performing, only truly happy when with friends or when listening to music. She will never let someone down who is in need of help, though.
She can be easily annoyed, but is able to hide that without trouble. She will speak her mind, not even bothering to sugar-coat anything for other adult ponies. She does try to hold back when talking to fillies and colts, though, not wanting to say something that would be unintentionally abrasive.
History
She was born in Canterlot, the filly of Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants. She was a happy little pony, always playing, exploring with her friend, Octavia. She was always the courageous one, doing many stupid things out of pure curiosity.
As she got older, she found her talent as a musician, much to her family's pleased acceptance. She went to college and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Theory. She opened up a club in her hometown with her friend Neon Lights, and it made her rich beyond her wildest dreams. 'The Bass-ment' was so popular, they started making them in other cities.
Despite being famous and having good friends, her life slowly started to fall apart. She tried alcohol once out of curiosity, and that was when her drinking problem began. Soon, she was almost always drunk, and it took the aid of a dark red pegasus to break the habit.
After an incident at the Royal Wedding caused her newest friend to vanish, she left to go live in Ponyville. She started working at the club that was there, but never relapsed, remembering her promise to her missing friend.
Three years later, Rainbow Dash asked for her to do a rap battle in retaliation to Twilight accidentally exposing some embarrassing photographs. News of this became widespread, to the point where everypony started using them for disputes, getting things off their chest, and, a few times, protecting the town. Thus the Epic Rap Battles of MLP were formed.
Eventually, her missing friend returned, and she was confronted with the feelings she had thought had long since died. It took a few months, but she eventually found the courage to confess her love, and he happily returned them. They started to date, and this went smoothly from there. Well, almost smoothly.

I'm submitting this because I sent a message to Edge asking if I could do an AU Vinyl about two weeks ago. I looked at the rules of the site, and I believe that I'm allowed to do this. At least, SWL said I should go for it. So...yeah.
This is the Vinyl Scratch from my 'Epic Rap Battles of MLP' fanfic. Her father is the lead singer for Journey. Her mother is a supermodel who plays roleplaying games. She was almost married to Enigma before she was pulled from her universe. This was after she'd done a rap battle against Queen Chrysalis, who had abducted and posed as the dark red pegasus.
In an attempt to keep herself from falling back into alcoholism, she drinks lemonade whenever she can. It helps her curb her cravings.
Her glasses are custom-made, with the lenses allowing her to not be affected by strobing or bright lights yet allowing her to see details.
She once had a 'safety record'. This was her Cloudsmith album, but now it's mostly a treasured item than a makeshift security blanket.
When she talks to others, she refers to them by a nickname (for close friends), 'dude' (for normal friends), or 'bro' (for those that annoy her).
