I was with a group, adventuring, you know, whole saving-the-world thing, but bigger and more important, and on our last jump to the next place I ended up here. I’m not sure how, and I haven’t been able to get back on my own—it’s too far.” He sighed. “I just hope I get back before everything is too screwed up to salvage.”

"Right. Of course." With that, Kendall left the museum with Brennan behind him. In all honesty, he still felt just as good doing this as he did earlier. Helping people had always been Kendall's personal nirvana.
