Rhys never flinched, returning the frown Juno gave him. "Alright, now, there's no need to snap. You must realize that Kalon presents a greater threat beyond simply consuming Dust and the worlds that create it. As I said, without any foreknowledge of his intentions should he succeed, we can only assume the worst. This could affect anyone and everyone, and should this be made clear, we will find others who could share our intents of destroying him, whether it be for their own preservation or to protect all life. I'm not saying it'll be easy. For what it's worth, you do make a fair point when you bring up how past armies of Dust users have been unable to defeat him. But someone has to try, Juno, and at this point, you, Alfie, Harley and I are the only ones who know of Kalon's existence. If we don't rise up to the challenge, who will?"

"WOULD YOU-?!" Juno stopped herself and took a few deep breaths. Despite being substantially calmed down after that, her voice was still firm and bitter. "Would you stop saying his name."
"Aw, you always get so touchy whenever he's brought up," Alfie sighed, not that he could blame her. He was just as ticked off at Kalon as she was; he was just better at holding it in. "But you know, I don't know... That guy's just gonna keep on doing his thing until someone or something gets in his way."
"Yeah. And so far, nothing's gotten in his way!" Juno reasoned.
Alfie frowned and flattened his ears. "Hey, any other situation, I'd say let nature take its course. But this is going too far. He's destroying life! Entire worlds! My world! Your world! Don't you at least wanna stick it to him for that?"
Juno folded her arms and stared at the ground, pouting slightly and face turning a light shade of red. "Dick killed my girlfriend."
"What?"
"Yeah, ya got me. I wanna see that dick dead."

"Well, I suppose that's a start..." Rhys murmured, looking aside with a straight-faced expression that would've been complete with an anime sweat drop. He turned back to the duo and nodded. "If we're going to have any chance at defeating K... y-you know, we'll first need to acquire a proper fighting force, then devise a plan, preferably one that will catch him off guard."
He spread his wings slightly, as if preparing to take off. "First and foremost, I suggest we meet up with Harley. She deserves to know what's going on."

"Yay. Harley," Juno sighed. "What makes you so sure she can or will even WANT to join this lost cause?"
Alfie grinned with encouragement. "Aw, c'mon, Harley's not that bad. This is important enough to get her attention!"
"I guess she could bore 'em to death..."
"Onward!" Alfie gleefully sprung at Rhys, simultaneously casting a Green Dust spell over himself that caused him to shrink small enough to fit in Rhys's hand.
Juno stepped up to Rhys and tried to get a good grip on him, which was somewhat awkward considering she couldn't reach far enough to sling her arm around his neck.
"Wanna travel my style?" Alfie happily offered.
"No. You are not making me any shorter," Juno grumbled.

"Juno, Harley has as much to do with this as we do," Rhys insisted like a chastising father. "I'm completely certain her skills and knowledge will be vital in this oncoming war."
After sticking Alfie in his jacket pocket and lifting Juno into his arms, Rhys made way for an opening in the canopy and took to the sky. "Now let's get started."

"Yay..." Juno frowned typically as Rhys took flight.
"So this is really it, huh?" Alfie mused, stars in his bright green eyes. "We're finally making our final stand!"
"Yeah, great, listen," Juno butted in. "If we're going to Void City, can we stop at a grocery store? I still haven't had breakfast."
"Sounds good to me!"

Rhys wanted to object. He wanted to simultaneously scold Juno for not taking this mission seriously and not having already eaten breakfast. But he let it slide with a casual "Very well."
Really, she wasn't hurting anyone, and Rhys had a feeling that Juno would start shaping up soon enough.
