Oblivious: Can't Say No (OPEN)

"Pfft. Didn't give ME time to think," Juno grumbled.

"You never asked," Alfie plainly responded.

"Wasting our morning like this. You know she's gonna come running back to him in no time. Like she would really say no to her angel..."

In the solitude of her bedroom, Harley did her best to ignore Juno's quips and keep to her thoughts.

To be perfectly honest, she really was stuck. She wanted to see an end to Kalon's destruction, of course, but what could they do about it? Even if they gathered a large enough following, what force would they have against a world-destroying cosmic entity? They'd simply be rising up and charging blindly into their own deaths. Still, chances were that they'd be sitting around waiting for it to happen anyway otherwise. The choice to her was really between trying to stop or waiting for the inevitable.

Was there a chance? Barely. Was she scared? Very. Did she want to avoid death? Obviously. Did she want to avoid countless more deaths? Of course.

And then there was Rhys. He really seemed to trust her and believe in her, and she wanted to be exactly what he hoped she could be. But Juno... Working with her, no matter what the cause, almost wasn't worth it.

Frustrated beyond all belief, Harley sighed, leaned against her door and lowered her head with shame. This indecision was unbearable, and so much hung in the balance.

Juno walked down the hall, stopping outside Harley's door. She leaned against it, much like Harley on the other side, and listened to her words. Alfie followed her, keeping quiet out of respect.

Hearing Harley voice her inner monologue, Juno bluntly offered her opinion...

"So shut up"

Alfie offered his advice as well...

"Unless you're ready to leave it"

"Or make up your mind"

"But you need it so much"

"Do you really believe in it?"
