"And the devil runs with the sun. A blind fallen runs a muck. And a dark Dracorum might just steal your luck~" Beth noted playfully as the gear in her mind turned for a new song to sing.

"Ahaaaaa, clever girl! I like your style!"
Jack bounced his cane off the ground and promptly caught it again, beaming from ear to ear.
"Perhaps you would care to join me for a while. I could go for a night out, and you seem like a nice girl. Shall we make our way back and give things a whirl?"

"I would enjoy that very much. Say are you hungry? I now a few wonderful spots for lunch," Beth offered with a coy smile. "Just note I sing for fun. Not to intentionally harm anyone."

"I suppose nourishment would do this body good. That and a means of washing up, if you could."
Jack frowned at Evan's bloodied hand, screwing up his nose with disgust.
"This body's current state leaves much to be desired, But that can be solved with a change of attire."
He then smiled up at Beth, twirled his cane and gave her a curt nod.
"A spit-shine, some food, and plenty time to play. Sounds good to me, dear! Please lead the way!"

"My humble abode is in the town. There are shops all around. A mall stands tall. There is a food court and new threads. Anything to make amends," she replied with a giggle as she thought the rhyming thing was fun.

Oh, brother... Evan, on the other hand, was getting pretty sick of this rhyming game, on top of his growing depression from his inability to resist Jack's control.
"I do believe I like the sound of all this. A night on the town would be absolute bliss. Enough formalities! Let the adventure begin! Lead on, m'lady, and let us dive in!"
Good God, what is this guy playing at...?

Beth gave a nod before humming out words of a song. "Forgive me but there is a song in my heart. Do you wish to take part?" she asked her companion as they walked from the edge.

As he walked alongside Beth, feet and walking stick hitting the ground in rhythm, Jack smiled and nodded.
"Absolutely, Elizabeth. Sing to your heart's content. I'll gladly play along to any extent."

"Come little children. I'll take thee away into a land of enchantment. Come little children. The time's come to play in my garden of magic. Follow sweet children. I'll show thee the way through all the pain and the sorrows~," sung Beth as she walked with JAck. "Weep not poor children for life is this way. Murdering beauty and passions. Hush now dear children. It must be this way to weary of life and deceptions. Rest now my children. For soon we'll away into the calm and the quiet~ Come little children. I'll take thee away into a land of enchantment. Come little children. The time's come to play in my garden of shadows~"

Jack observed in silence, a smile of pure bliss on his vessel's face all the while.
Evan, likewise, was at a loss for words. Not that words would do him any good. He was completely at the mercy of this parasite, and it wasn't like the idea of expelling Jack from his body brought any shred of hope. For all he knew, the moment Jack left, that wolf-like mentality that Evan was currently repressing would return. The only difference was that he knew too well that if the wolf took control again, he would surely cause more destruction. He had absolutely no idea what Jack's true intentions were, but he was not at all anxious to figure it out. And the fact that Beth was completely at ease with this entire situation only made it worse.
Suddenly, something else occurred to Evan.
My friends... They were all affected by this curse too! Where are they? What'll happen if I... this... THING... KILL... no, shut up! Shut up! I... I gotta help them. But how? If Jack finds them... if I find them, I'll...
His thoughts trailed off, leading him nowhere. No matter what happened, no matter who was in control if he crossed paths with his friends, he was absolutely certain someone would get hurt by his hand. And there was nothing he could do to prevent it.
Trapped in this state of hopelessness, Evan resigned himself to this role as a spectator, waiting with dread at the front of his mind to see where Beth would lead Jack and what they would do next. It was all he could think to do.
