"Yes I've climbed crystal cliff faces before- now that was an adrenaline rush," she offered as she drove a metal stake into the ground and threaded a rope through it.

Wax's body started to become a dull grey, the man's flame bursting off of his wick as it swished and swirled, a willo-wisp now flying close to Forsaken. "Just be careful," Wisk advised. "If his flame goes out while it's not attached to him, he can't remember what he was doing!"
Crona looked down at the edge, Ragnarok folding his arms before vanishing into their body. "Just be careful, mistress," Crona gulped.

"So what, is anyone else going?" Mysterion asked. "'Cause I know I'd rather not just stand around up here. If it's all the same to you, I think I'll be going down there too."
Paul wasn't sure how to react to that. He certainly wasn't about to protest Mysterion's decision, but it would've been nice to have him stay up here and... possibly answer some questions the currently-amnesiac dragon had. Plus, was there even more than one rope? Could Forsaken carry the boy down with her?

Forsaken dug a card out. "Who else is coming down?" she asked as she seemed to materialize a second set of climbing gear.

The fireball floated by Forsaken, pulsing a bit. "Um... I think I'll just stay put," Crona offered. "I don't know how to handle mountain climbing..."

"So I guess it's just us then." Mysterion saluted to the others, Paul in particular, and stepped up to Forsaken. "Your call, ma'am."
Paul nodded to them, then turned slightly and stared off into space, eyes glowing in a contemplative expression.

Forsaken nodded before getting Mysterion's line set up. "Fair enough," she offered as a song bubbled up in her mind.

Wick looked down. "I'd love to come with, but I'm not as amorphous as boss is," he sighed. "I'd snap my arms and hit the bottom before I reached ten feet down."

Mysterion wordlessly strapped in and looked up at Paul, curious as to what the dragon was thinking. Then he shimmied off the ledge and started climbing down, surprisingly gracefully at that.

Forsaken kicked off and happily headed down the cliff.

Wax's flame followed behind them, lighting up the canyon with ease. As he said, the markings of the earth lacked rhyme or reason- it was all arranged like paint hitting a canvas from water balloons.
Above them, Crona sighed, etching in the dirt with their finger.

Mysterion narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the vibrant design and running his gloved hand along the markings. He might have seen weirder things in his days, both on the island and back home, but this was fascinating for a completely different reason, one he couldn't exactly describe.
Paul turned around and watched them descend, then turned back and resumed his contemplative staring into the night sky.

Forsaken studied the designs before swinging off to the right a bit to look for a marking or two that she recognized.

Wax's flame kept everything illuminated, the fireball swinging to and fro to keep the canyon lit up.
"So... What're you thinking about, Paul?" Crona asked.

Mysterion lowered himself a bit more to further investigate the patterns. And to be a child. He had to resist the urge to smirk as he watched Forsaken climbing above him.
Paul warily looked down at Crona, then at his feet, unsure how and if to answer that question.
