"Yeah, thanks," Paul murmured. "I'm alright. Just some personal stuff. No biggie."
As if to hit him with a dose of cruel irony, Paul suddenly felt something drip onto his cheek. He cringed slightly and turned away from Forsaken to investigate in relative privacy, then he ran his thumb along his cheek and studied the substance, eyes widening when he realized that it was his own blood trickling down his forehead.

"I'd go to a doctor to check that out," she offered. "And I can see that Wax. And Paul... I'm sorry for snapping back at the canyon."

Wax approached Paul. "Hey dude! You seem a lot smaller than I remember," he offered. "So, what's going on?"

"Uh... Yeah..." Paul did his best to wipe the blood away with his hand while also keeping his horns concealed. The result was awkwardly messy, with the crimson fluid splattering onto his hood and sleeve and sticking the locks of his hair together. He tried not to worry about these arbitrary nuisances and continued, "A-And it's no big deal. I mean, even if Kenny is immortal, I did kinda kill him. That wasn't cool of me. It's fair that you would snap."
He shrugged at Wax's greeting. "Not a whole lot. Just some personal business."

"I thought that was just a Fog thing for him...." she offered seeing the blood. "You know I could patch that up right? Blood kinda is my element."

Wax thought to himself a moment. I wonder if that Kenny kid is the same one from the show... he cleared his throat. "Yeah, if it's a bad wound, it's better to heal it up," he offered.

Paul cringed slightly, just barely suppressing a yelp of protest, causing it to be projected as a muffled squeak. "Uh, no, it's fine. Honestly, I think I can patch it up when I get back to the hotel."
He finally made it back to the library, shuffling inside and over to where the commotion was taking place. Several librarians were cleaning up the mess of books on the floor while Harley kept watch over Kenny. She had taken the liberty of flipping his hood up and closing his eyes, giving the illusion that he was merely unconscious. She nodded when she spotted the approaching group. "Hey. You with him?"
"Yeah..." Paul sighed. "Don't worry about him. I know he's dead now, but he'll wake up good as new in the morning, like nothing ever happened."
"You sure seem confident about that."
"Call me crazy." Paul knelt down and went to grab Kenny in his books, stopping halfway. He was loathe to touch Kenny's parka or the library books with his bloodied fingers.

Forsaken sighed before muttering something under her breath and causing the red liquid to rise off the stains and Paul's fingers. It swirled in a small mass before crystallizing. The crystal hovered at her shoulder height.
"All clear," she offered.

Wax gave a chuckle. "Not a bad trick there-"
"Mister Waxevius, what have we told you?" A librarian groaned. "You are not allowed this far in!" the man gave a groan, slinking back out. "I understand you're with friends, but that flame of yours is a fire hazard waiting to happen!"
"Why aren't the books fire proof then?" he asked. "Or at least magic proof..."
"This is a no fighting zone, Wax. There's no NEED for that!" Wax crossed his arms, taking a seat at a table outside the library.

"Thanks," Paul murmured to Forsaken, simultaneously nodding to Wax as if to silently state that he wouldn't be long.
As he gathered his books, belongings and companion, Paul turned to Harley and said, "I'm sorry, but I feel like I know you from somewhere."
"We hung out together at that beach party," Harley replied; she found it hard to sound upbeat in light of Kenny's apparent death. "I-I'm Harley. And you're Paul, right?"
"Oh, right! Right..." Paul smiled and nodded. "Yeah, that's me. And hey, don't worry too much about Kenny. Come tomorrow, chances are you won't even remember seeing this."
"O-Okay...?"
"Sorry you had to, though. I can take it from here. Thank you."
Once he had everything he needed, taking painstaking precautions to mask his horns all the while, Paul brought his and Kenny's books over to the counter to check them out, then hastily made his way out of the library with the books in one arm and Kenny in the other.

Forsaken nodded before smiling to Harley. "Thank you for staying with the body... that came out weird... I'm sorry.... I get awkward...." She offered.

Wax entertained a few kids while waiting, making his craters puff out rings of smoke. "Oh hey, you guys done in there?" he asked, getting up as one of the kids whined a bit. "Hey, I'll be at the hot-dog place in about thirty minutes," he offered, the kids darting off seconds later. "Heh, from volcano mob boss to hot dog fryer... I think life's looking up for me."

"I-It's fine," Harley murmured as she stood back up. "I guess I'll just... try to forget about it now. You might wanna catch up with Paul, though. He didn't seem too well."
Paul smiled awkwardly and shrugged at Wax. "Well, do whatever makes you happy, man. Now, uh... I should probably be heading home, so, uh..."

Forsaken nodded to Harley. "And you look nice, Miss," she offered before going to follow Paul.

Wax shrugged. "If you and her are heading somewhere, don't let me stop you," Wax sighed. "I'm not really supposed to leave the mall, so."
