"You were harassing him earlier, Miss Enlighten. And the fact you and him have given us intel on what a Praen'tos is doesn't sit very well with a few of us as you can plainly see," Victoria noted.

Ed silently kept watch. "You might have done a better job keeping your mouth shut," Mackenzie scowled.
Danny sighed. "Much of a point as that is, Who are we to judge someone based on their race?" he offered.

"Hm. Point taken. But I am only a messenger," Enlightenment continued. "I vouldn't put up much of a fight on my own, and if zhere where any more of us lurking in zhe shadows, Herr Toby vould likely be avare of it by now."
Toby set his empty glass down on the bar and scowled at nothing in particular, instantly regretting his decision to drink it all at once.
"Nonezheless, I can take a hint. I'll leave you be." With that said, Enlightenment pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket and handed it to Danny. "Keep zhe change."
She then quickly finished off her malt, stood up and started walking past the other patrons, slowing to a halt behind Toby. "It vaz nice to meet you finally!"
His only response was a low grumble.
"Oh, and by zhe vay... your mother says hi."
".........!"
And then, right out of nowhere, Toby launched out of his seat, screamed at the top of his lungs, tackled Enlightenment to the floor and proceeded to POUND THE EVERLOVING CRAP OUT OF HER.

"TOBY!" Victoria called as she went to try to get Toby off of Enlightenment. Due to her short stature, she couldn't do much.

Mack covered her mouth and watched, Ed screaming as the fight took place. A barrage of the Shy guys (They're cheap labor, for one) rushed over to the fight, some desperately attempting to tug the boy off of the red-headed demon woman.

Any efforts were for naught, as Toby simply yanked away from anyone trying to intervene, keeping himself firmly planted on top of Enlightenment as he swung fist after fist into her face.
All the while, though, Enlightenment hardly looked deterred. She still wore that same smile as she took her beating, and nothing Toby did to her drew blood or even bruised her. She even started laughing after the first few punches. "Haha! Zis is hilarious!"
Eventually Toby grabbed her by the neck and slammed her head repeatedly into the floor. Still showing no signs of pain, Enlightenment casually continued, "Alzhough now it's getting a little annoying." Then he held her down with one hand and punched her with the other. "Now it's sad." Then he went back to rapidly alternating between fists. "And now it's annoying again."
Finally, a burst of shadows knocked Toby off of Enlightenment, threw him into his chair and held him down. Showing absolutely no injury, Enlightenment stood and beamed at him. "Not vhat I was expecting, but I like it! I'll make a Præt'nos out of you yet, Herr Toby, merk dir meine Worte. Auf Wiedersehen!" The shadows then consumed her, and when they vanished, Toby was free and Enlightenment was gone.

Victoria looked confused after the small scuffle. "Well.... That happened..." she offered.

The workers took off for their stations in a hurry, a few patrons laughing at the happy go lucky shy guys. "...that looked painful," Ed stated, looking at Toby. "Are you hurt?"

Once the shadows had released him, Toby turned around, slammed his head down on the bar and proceeded to weep profusely. It was all the shaking, confused, depressed boy could think to do.

Victoria sat next to Toby as a small angel kitten made a mew noise before nuzzling Toby. "Seems Mittens likes you," she offered as the Serasphynx nuzzled a bit more.

Mackenzie got up, sighing. "Don't act too upset, we're here to try helping," she offered. Ed simply stayed quiet.
"...How about a triple scoop of one of my specialty sundaes?" Danny asked. "On the house, quarter price or half price, but not a coin more." Of course, what the piants meant was that if Toby wanted to pay, he could- but was trying to pass it off more as a gift or discount.

Toby sniffled and lifted his head, his face already a complete and utter mess; he quickly swiped a napkin to wipe his eyes and nose with. In the process of pulling himself together, he looked between the people sitting around him, then down at Victoria's odd little kitten. He slowly reached out to pet it, only to curl his fingers inward and set his hand back down on the bar. Didn't want to risk hurting the poor thing.
"I-I'm sorry..." he whimpered, his voice constantly cracking. "I-I-I didn't mean to... I just... And she was..."
He tucked his used napkins into his pocket. Though his head was down, his mumbles were likely directed at Danny. "Thank you... but I-I don't wanna cause you anymore trouble. I can leave if-"

"Toby you were provoked by that Apocrian. Nothing broken and no one got hurt," she offered as Mittens nuzzled Toby.

"The lady's right," Danny offered. "If you're going to leave, then leave, but I don't see any reason to just kick you out."
"He's right," Mack offered, giving a gentle smile. "Nothing that happened was really your fault, you know. No-one here has a reason to make you leave." And if they do they're lying to themselves.

After taking a deep breath, Toby looked up at Danny and nodded. If anything, he could've used some comfort food. "I guess... I'll take you up on that offer... if it's not too much to ask. Then I'll leave you alone..."
He rested his chin in his hand and returned his gaze to the bar. Not much else to say on the matter.
So he was right...
