Annabelle took the woman's hand, showing a spark in her finger before touching the jewel in the locket. Time seemed to warp, slowing itself down to a crawl as the pair of them stayed in motion in the motionless. Everything in the bar turned a surreal shade of green, Annabelle smiling. "Don't let go, or time will start with you in it," she smiled.

Annabelle raised an eyebrow. "Absinthe?" she asked. "In all my years, that's a word I've never heard." She stopped pumping magic into the pendant, time returning to normal.
