"Oh, uh..." Toby's smile perked up a little. He seemed excited to explain this. "The sixth generation game consoles were like... Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube and Xbox. A-And when I say platformer, I mean like... games that involve exploring or navigating an environment, like uh... Ps... Psychonauts! You ever heard of Psychonauts? It's really cool and really funny and... a-and it's about this kid who joins this summer camp for psychics and has to save the other kids' brains from being stolen, and there's a dentist who harvests brains and a giant lungfish and these government agents looking for the milkman and... um..."
He then stared blankly at her, his face turning cherry red as he slowly realized he was babbling utter nonsense.

Chrys took a sip of her soda. "That actually sounds like a fun game," she offered as if encouraging Toby to continue.

It took a while for Toby to recover from his humiliating ramblings. When he did, he let it out in the form of a dorky laugh, and his awareness of how dumb he must have looked just made him laugh even more. It felt... odd, if bizarrely releasing. It wasn't often that Toby laughed at himself.
"Heh... Yeah, it is pretty fun," he continued between snickers. "B-Basically, it takes you through ethereal worlds based on the minds of the people in the game, and you have to explore their subconscious and memories and help them solve their mental problems to advance. It's like if Tim Burton and David Lynch made a video game together; it's a weird premise, but one with plenty of creative potential."

"Is it available on PC?" Chrys asked with a smile. "It sounds like something I'd like."

"Yeah! I'm pretty sure it's on Steam. I definitely recommend it. And the sequel was announced a little while ago, so I have something to look forward to... in... 2018, I believe..." Toby concluded with another goofy chuckle.
He then took another sip of iced tea before asking, "So what about you?"

"I don't know if it counts but I like building things. I built my own bike back home. Street legal and everything. I'm a comic nerd," Chyrs offered.

"Oh, that's cool," Toby cheerfully replied. "That's a useful talent to have. I never was great with my hands... And I live with a comic nerd. I know a few things about that field."

"Saving up to build one here. I can build you one too if you want," Chrys offered.
"Helps to be licensed, Chrys," Yang offered. "And I know a good parts shop on 3rd."

"Eheh... Maybe. Thanks." Toby stirred his straw around in his tea, once again out of things to say.
Well... it was a start.

Yang quietly set the orders down.
Chrys smiled as she looked to her soup and sandwich.
Yang smiled to Toby as she set a cheeseburger with bacon and fries in front of him. "Didn't want to scare you off too bad," she offered.

"Oh, no problem. This looks great! Thanks." Toby nodded to Yang, then looked around for the ketchup. He found it sitting right next to Chrys's drink glass and reached over to grab it.

Yang went to get the totals.
Chrys giggled as she nudged the bottle towards Toby's reach.

As he grabbed the ketchup from her, Toby's hand briefly brushed against Chrys's. The blush returned to his cheeks and he froze up for a moment, then he chuckled a little as he took the bottle and started pouring ketchup onto his plate without another word.

Chrys blushed slightly as well as their hands briefly touched. Easy there, Chrys. No jumping into the deep end just yet, she thought as she dunked her sandwich in her soup.

Pull yourself together, dude. Don't get ahead of yourself. Don't wanna scare her away... Not again...
Toby munched on some fries and took a bite of his burger. Mid-chew, he looked over at Chrys with a smile and a nod, as if to silently assure her that he liked it. That he was... enjoying himself...
