Discord and Rhymes (UNDERTALE)

"You don't say..." Roman tapped his chin, his curiosity adequately piqued. "Well, water is but one state away from ice, so this seems like a step in the proper direction. I just might take you up on that offer, sir."

"Well..." Alphys chuckled, smiling shyly at the wolf pup. "Whatever the case, I do hope you settle in well amongst our little group, Roman."

"Oh, most certainly!" Roman beamed right back at her. It was absolutely clear that there was no place he would've rather been.

[Monolilith]

It allows Captor to smile, at least. He's quiet for a pause, letting everything around him sink in, it seems. Then his eyes close with a soft puff of salty air.

"Come to my office tomorrow, Roman. The card will lead you there again. On that note, I should probably go home before I pass out of manic exhaustion here..."

"Come back when you get better, Mr. Captor. Okay?" Captor took note of Frisk's warm smiling face. "Get plenty of rest before then though. You could probably use it. We can look after Roman in the meantime. Nothing to worry about." The child scooped up some more of Alphys' instant noodle soup and proceeded to eat it slowly, taking in the taste and the warmth.

Frisk would likely need a few days to recover as well from the look of things... But they were in good hands here in the lab.

"Duly noted." Roman gave Captor a curt nod and a bold smile, punctuated by a wag of his tail. "Thank you for your services today, Mr. Captor. Rest easy knowing you've done a fine job."

"Y-Yes, please do take care," Alphys politely offered as she waved to Captor, grinning between him and Frisk. "We'll take good care of him, absolutely. Don't you worry."

Roman turned towards Frisk and inched closer to them, his smile and tail wags turning more excited. "Well now..."

With that, Captor stands. He rests a hand around his solar plexus, eyes closed and rocking back and forth like he might be sick. Then those eyes open, luminous sea green, and he vanishes in a puff of salty mist.

He'll be okay.
