Once again, Lagola was taken aback by Sirion's decision. His insistence on remaining active and seeking a purpose was certainly in keeping with his character, but this was a decidedly non-active mission he was taking on, one entirely directed towards gathering information rather than combat. And he seemed sincerely invested in it. His dedication really was something to be admired, she had always acknowledged that, and this time it was towards what Lagola believed to be a truly worthy cause.
And taking this into consideration, Lagola came to the conclusion that she was very much in a position to contribute. She wanted to be certain that this monster could be dealt with. She wanted to ensure that no one else suffered their fate. And she had very little to worry about personally; they were now and forever, as far as she was concerned, strictly support, not fighters.
"Y-Yeah, that... That's actually a good idea." Lagola stood up, gazing up at Sirion with a shocking amount of devotion. "There's bound to be someone else out there who's seen him. I-If we can gather enough insight to hypothesize a weakness, we could relay it to our living selves." She turned away slightly and rubbed her arm. "Th-That is... if you'd be willing to accept my help. I-I just... don't want him to keep hurting people."

Sirion raised an eyebrow. Now it was his turn to be surprised. "You... wanna help... take this guy down."
He really had no idea how to react to this. Lagola wanted to help take down a villain. The girl who spent most of the game boarded up in her hive. The girl who whined about every inconvenience and screamed at every attempt to get her to mobilize. The girl who turned nearly the entire team against him simply because he got her to god tier. She wanted to help him.
FINALLY.
Sirion smirked at Lagola, his usual attitude still evident despite the rare display of a genuine smile. "Yeah, why not? We both probably got our own info on the guy and... let's be fair here, you're probably better at this critical thinking hoofbeast s*** than me. If you're serious about this, then yeah! Let's show this f***er what's coming to 'im!"
He bent down slightly and pointed to his back. For Lagola's contribution, he was willing to repay. "Need a lift for old time's sake? No sense in worryin' 'bout heights no more. You're already dead."

"If it means preventing more innocent bloodshed... then yes." Lagola was tired of that. She was more than ready to see an end to everyone's suffering. Up until this point, lost in the middle of the action, she had been too scared to do anything about it. Now she really and truly believed there was something she could do to help, and it was high time she acted upon it.
"Oh..." But to be fair, it was still a somewhat nerve-wracking prospect. Not to mention the fact that old habits die hard, and such was the case with her aviophobia. Sirion did make a good point, though. Even if she fell, a thought that she had to convince herself was very unlikely to happen, she couldn't die again. With this in mind, Lagola pondered that in this celestial environment, she could easily grow accustomed to flight until she felt comfortable doing it herself.
Until then, she decided to take Sirion up on his offer and secure herself on the bard's back. "Thank you."

"No problem." Sirion nodded as the rogue wrapped her arms around him. It was time for an adventure through the void. "Let's get to it!"
The soles of his shoes clacked against the platform as he sprinted to the opposite edge and leaped off, blue light streaming from beneath him as he hovered across the open air. He skated just above the water, gracefully swerving between the decaying trees that rose from the ocean where the memories of LOWAP and LOGAB mingled. All around them was a seemingly endless bayou of blue and brown, glistening in the warm glow of twilight. And honestly, Sirion found it all kind of cool.
"So what's our first step? How do we find some other ghosts 'round here?"

Lagola held on tight and braced herself, gathering up all the courage she could to endure this ride. Flying around at top speed with no secure footing was no more pleasant now than it had been when she was alive, but although she wasn't on solid ground, it was at least comforting to have something to hold onto, and once again, her being already dead certainly took away from her fears just enough to keep her from panicking.
And looking around at the landscape she and Sirion had dreamed up... it was actually quite calming. She could get used to this.
"Hmm... Well..." Lagola mulled over Sirion's question, all the while taking steps to look anywhere except down. "Usually how it works is... the contents of a single dream bubble are an amalgamation of the memories of everyone in it. S-So we'll have to look for scenes that likely took place in a specific person's mind. E-Either that or... w-we think up common memories to connect ourselves with someone else who... um..."
How best to explain this...

"Yeah, okay, I think I gotcha." Her tone was just as uncertain as ever, but at least Lagola was telling Sirion what he needed to know, and he was most certainly figuring it out. "So like... we gotta look for big-a** thorns if we wanna find Cortem or fancy-pants pillars for Dvaneb."
He propelled himself over a series of large rocks, scanning the horizon for anything he couldn't have thought of himself. "Or alternatively, we dream up some memories of scarf douche and hope we find someone else who's thinkin' of him."

"Y-Yeah! Potentially..." Okay, good. He was listening to her.
Lagola stared ahead, worried but also curious. So long as she couldn't be hurt, she couldn't help but wonder what they would find out here. "Either way, there's no guarantee that whoever we come across will be from the same timeline as us or that anyone who was will... take the metaphorical bait. B-But we won't know unless we try! So... yeah. Lead on. We're bound to find a familiar face eventually."

Gradually, the landscape did change. Trees and waves were replaced by sandy grey land, little shiny objects dispersed across the ground. If one looked closely, they could tell they were small keys, of all shapes and sizes. Little yellowy roots peeked out of the soil, though scarcely, and orange dust speckled the ground, unevenly spread. In some places it covered up the grey, and in some there was hardly any. Pockmarks poked the land, not quite large enough to be caverns, not quite small enough to be simple dips.
The relative emptiness of it all made it easier to spot any signs of life. Er, death.
There was this big, strangely shaped boulder, still a ways away. Next it it, stabbed into the ground, was a large key. It wasn't gargantuan, only just taller than your average troll, but compared to the small ones dotting the land, it was the biggest one they'd come across so far. Taking in the shade these landmarks provided were two figures, at least one of which Sirion and Lagola knew well.
For being dead, Kamulo looked well. She'd chosen to wear her original outfit, the one with the layered long shirt and her symbol tee. No blood on her, not if she could just decide to not look that way. It wasn't immediately clear which Kamulo this was, but there would be time to suss that out. Her mouth was moving, she was speaking, but she wasn't yet audible, in the distance. She hadn't seen the duo yet, attention turned to the other figure.

Next to her was a particularly cheerful, very pudgy figure that was just laughing the day away talking with her. If none of the trolls survived long enough to meet him, then it's likely he just looked like a pinker, hornless troll- but a human was what he was. He was dressed in a vivid red shirt, a small, sketchy creature sitting on his head as he kept talking.
The one particularly jarring detail about him was the decided lack of a left arm- but he didn't seem to be bothered by it. There's no telling age with ghosts, so how long had he been aware of his death? Or, how long had he gotten used to the arm being missing, anyway. A gigantic poof of red hair was on his head, the guy's little companion kicking its feet as it listened to what was going on.
He stopped laughing for a moment, looking out on the horizon.

"Hm..." Sirion took a good look around, scrutinizing the changing scenery. "Looks like Kam's planet."
Great. Kamulo. The airhead who was constantly on his case for killing Lagola and helping her tier. Sure, maybe she would calm the hell down when she saw how content Lagola was with him now, but still, this was not the person he wanted to talk to right now. "Y'know, maybe we oughta keep lookin'. There's a whole dreamscape's worth of ghosts out here to-"
As soon as he caught sight of Kamulo in the distance, though, Sirion did a double take. There was someone with her. Someone he didn't recognize in the slightest. "Uh... Who the hell is that? What the hell is that??" Honestly, he wasn't sure if he cared to find out.

"I-I'm not sure..." Lagola murmured, leaning over Sirion to get a good look at the two distant figures. It was hard to tell from their current location, but this new being seemed distinctly troll-like in terms of proportion, albeit with a bizarre lack of horns. "But it... they... he...? K-Kamulo seems to be getting along fine with whoever that is."
Though Sirion had made his desire to seek out someone else known, Lagola raised an arm and waved to Kamulo, all the while continuing, "We might as well go talk to them. Kamulo should be willing to tell us anything and... m-maybe this new guy knows something. We... won't know unless we ask, right?"

As her companion looked out, Kamulo followed his gaze, and saw the duo. Whatever she was saying, it stopped dead in its tracks. She half raised a hand, hesitated, and then waved back at Lagola. She stood and jogged to the edge of the shadow, still waving, enthusiastically.
Now that they were closer, the shape of the boulder became clearer. It was like some sort of large carved statue, a figure with rough features.

The male watched on, his blank eyes oddly showing a hint of fear. "Um... Friends of yours?" he asked her, a tad confused.

"Seeking an audience now, are we? Stop being so proactive, runt. It's really unbecoming of you. Heh." Sure, it was the typical kind of thing for Sirion to say, but it was bizarre to hear him speak in such a light, playfully sarcastic tone. And with a chuckle, no less.
Despite his wishes, Kamulo had spotted them. In all fairness, the more people they pried information out of, the better. "Alright, fine, we'll talk to Kamulo. But if she doesn't know jack about this freakshow, I'm getting the f*** outta dodge." That said, Sirion leaned forward and continued to skate towards their fellow troll and her weird new friend.

Lagola was hesitant to respond to Sirion's statement. She was used to his less-than-constructive criticism, but she was genuinely taken aback to hear him joke with her. Seeing him in such good spirits was in and of itself bizarre, so much so that she really didn't know how to react to it. The most she could muster was a weak, halfhearted chuckle.
Strangeness aside, honestly, it felt... good to be getting along with Sirion again.
"Thank you..." Lagola murmured as Sirion skated onward to meet Kamulo halfway. If there was anyone she trusted to share information with her, it was Kamulo. Whether or not she knew anything about their new foe was just something they'd have to deal with in stride. For the time being, Lagola simply waved again in greeting. "H-Hey, Kamulo!"
