"Honestly, I doubt that would be the case," Leukae responded, rubbing her head. "If our Sylph of Space is any evidence, connection between dream and waking self can be achieved regardless of distance. I think it's safe to assume something's wrong with our dream selves, so if you guys know how to..."
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Xiphas was moping. Seeing this, she anxiously scrunched her face. "Come on, don't give me that..."
"Sorry. It's just..." Xiphas mumbled, "...this place is... well, I think it's school."
"And by 'school' you mean 'cool'?"
"Yeah. Exploring new worlds and old memories, meeting knew people... I think there's a lot to be done here. I figured you'd be interested too."
"Well, I am, but..." It was getting increasingly difficult to argue with her matesprit. "I-It's just... what if something happened to Derse? What if we're not the only ones with potentially dead dream selves? Tabano, Maevix, Lagola... What if they're-?"
But that look... That innocent, disappointed look of a sweet guy who just wanted to have a little fun... God, it ripped her pump biscuit in two every time.
"Okay, fine, we can explore for a little while..." Leukae sighed. "But if we don't wake up by our own accord soon, we're gonna get someone to snap us out of it."
"DEAL!" With renewed enthusiasm, Xiphas threw an arm around his partner and faced Dzaneb and Ryan again. "Well, fellas, the Mage of Blood here says we're gonna stick around for a whale!"
"Pfft..." Leukae had to smirk despite herself. "You dork."

Dzaneb nodded. "You are welcome to stay as long as you want," he offered before taking off his cloak and opening his wings a bit more.
