She wasn't sure why, but Natalie found herself pleasantly surprised to hear that this island had a hospital. Granted, it made sense that it would and she certainly acknowledged that, but still... "UH, YEAH, HOSPITAL SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA!" After all, this young man had clearly suffered a significant injury, one that she really only felt comfortable trusting to professionals.
The tiny dragon crawled out of the boy's pocket, its insect wings anxiously fluttering and the purple flame at the tip of its tail flickering as it sadly examined its master.
"Elsa, do you think you can fly and carry him?" Natalie asked, pushing aside the last of the scrap. "We gotta get him there pronto."

"I can carry him no problem," Elsa offered. "Flying at the same time, though, that's gonna be tricky. Unless you have the strength to ride on my back and hold onto me."
Just at a glance, without the wounded young man even having to speak, Elsa could clearly tell that he didn't. "But I'll manage. Whatever gets you help faster."
Elsa then kneeled next to the pilot seat, taking a moment to ponder how best to go about what needed to be done. After ripping off the entire length of the bottom half of her shirt and murmuring an anxious yet genuine "Sorry," she grabbed the sharp, metallic chunk lodged in his spine and swiftly yanked it loose. She then quickly, tightly tied the shirt fabric around his waist, hoping that would be enough to cover the wound during their trip.
Finally, she unbuckled the cat boy from his seat, lifted him into her arms as gently as she could manage, mindful of his wounds, and fired up her jet boots. "Onwards!"

The sharp cry of the boy's catlike yowl of pain echoed for a moment, his body briefly going tense before once again slumping from his evident lack of energy. Through gritted teeth, he snarled to Elsa as she picked him up, "I hope- ACK- For your sake, I hope you- GAH- know what you're doing! OW!"
Once he was safely nestled in her arms, he allowed his head to rest on Elsa's shoulder while cradling his dragonfly against his chest, watching in a daze as they were lifted off the ground. From his bird's eye view, he surveyed what was left of his ship, panting heavily at the sight.
"Where... Where's the rest of it...? The back... The back half... All my stuff... Where...?"

Natalie cringed from Elsa's brutal, impromptu medical treatment and the cat boy's pained reaction to it. She remained quiet otherwise, following Elsa into the sky as they made their way towards the city.
Side-by-side with Elsa, Natalie sadly looked down at the wounded young man as he fretted over his ship. "It... broke in half on your way down. Th-The other half fell somewhere south of here."
The dragonfly whimpered and curled up in its master's hand, nuzzling his chest in a feeble attempt at comfort.
"What, uh..." Natalie had a lot of questions, on top of the questions she already had. But at the time, only one actually seemed appropriate. "What's your name?"

"Just hang on, buddy," Elsa softly offered in a sincere attempt at comfort. "We'll getcha patched up. We'll find the rest of your stuff. We're here to help you."
She cast a worried glance at the cat boy, then at the little dragon he was holding, then back at the cat boy. "You can sleep if you wanna. It's gonna be a few minutes until we get there. Just... don't die, okay? You'll be fine as long as you don't die."

For the first time since finding him, the young man's ears drooped with sadness and worry. He looked between Natalie and Elsa, only barely registering what they were saying by that point, his fears catching up to him in his exhaustion. Dying was the absolute last thing on his mind. Preventing it was the first.
As he settled deeper into Elsa's arms, he murmured, "Koeham... My... My name is Koeham..."
He closed his eyes, grimacing slightly, hardly aware even of what he was saying anymore...
"Gotta... find... the... the limus... N... Need... limus... to... stop... the ale..."
That was the last thing Koeham said before succumbing to the cold, to his injuries, to the suffocating embrace of silence...
