"... Well, unless it's really big or headed straight for a building, it's probably not a concern," William said, shaking his head. "And yeah, our world is THAT crapsack compared to... wherever you lot came from. But hey, it's home, and I wouldn't have it any other w-"

At that, a blaring noise came from the television. "Oh, joy. That sounds like our radio when we're about to get attacked by bandits."

"Maybe it's just a test? The radios in Honni run a test like this at least once a week. Earthquake practice and all-"

BREAKING NEWS: METEOR CRASH IN VOID CITY PLAZA. SUSPECTED TO CONTAIN STRANGE AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY LIFE FORMS.

"We interrupt this nightly news report to bring you this just in. A meteor has just crashed in the plaza of Void City." A camera cut away to something pulsating with a reddish energy, small creatures made of a multicoloured, semitransparent slime coming from the centre. "Our team is gathering information on this strange development. In the meantime, all residents are urged to avoid the plaza area until further notice."

A spire shot out of the centre, spiraling up into the sky, easily into the clouds.

"I've got this bad feeling about this, guys." William poked his head out the window. "Yeah, I can see it from here. Hey, Perce! You might want to-" And then he spotted a small figure with its torso stripped down to just the minimum amount of bones, a pair of wings made from human issue extending from its back, flying towards the spire. "YOU RECKLESS IDIOT!!"

Closing the window, William took a deep breath. "I... I'll be back. I need to stop him before his recklessness gets himself killed." Without waiting for much of a response, he bolted out the way he came. "Which way is the plaza?!"

Meanwhile, some distance above the city, Percy flew on his newly-formed wings. Well, as newly-formed as wings made from his own torso tissue could be.

"Imago, any idea as to what this is?"

Solely in the teen's head, a voice responded.

"No. But I'll admit. I am curious..."

"Oh, fucking joy."

Ranuen overheard Kelsey's commentary on the news report. He had learned something today! ....Also.

"Well that sounds just slightly ominous." Ranuen admitted. A shooting star in the sky was one thing, but a meteor crashing down? Hooo boy. He thought it was just a comet overhead or something. Oops. "If... If that's the case, we might want to keep an eye on--"

Then the news updated. Deadly life forms? Ranuen glanced at the TV. "....Thaaaat does not look like a meteor." He noted, just as William bolted from the room. ".....Alright, well I'm going after him. Anyone else for joining me?" Ranuen suggested as he went to jump off the table.

"Y-Yeah, see...? There ya go..." Kelsey awkwardly murmured, partially to prove her previous point about astronomy, but mostly to emphasize how obvious it was that yet another crisis was taking place that Percy and William were already in on, whether they had any preexisting knowledge of it or not. Would this night ever end?

"Uhh...! Turn left out of the allotment, then right on the next street! It's a straight shot from there!" Paul anxiously and hastily poke up in regards to William's inquiry on directions. He then turned to Kelsey, casting her a nervous and slightly apologetic look. "I guess there is a chance that this is relevant to our situation. Should we check it out?"

"I don't see why not," Kelsey begrudgingly sighed with a shrug. "Rabbit hole's gotta end somewhere. Let's move."

"Yes, please do," Tri chuckled, hovering behind Kelsey as she and Paul stood up and marched towards the door alongside Ranuen. "This one's a beauty! Just you wait!"

"Right on!" Kenny promptly turned the TV off and followed the others. "Been a while since I've seen any action!"

"Kenny, you stay right here," Paul sternly ordered.

"What?! Why?! I'm in on this now too!"

"I just wanted to bring you up to speed, buddy. I'm not dragging you with me into the lion's den. I hardly have a grasp on what I can do for this situation. What exactly were you planning to do when we got down there?"

"I'unno. Probably gawk, mostly."

"Kenny!"

"Ugh, fine."

"Thank you," Paul sighed, relieved but clearly upset that he had to dash the kid's hopes. It wasn't that he didn't think Kenny's young mind could handle this. After all, this kid had stared down Cthulhu; he had no problem with monsters. Heck, even death itself was nary an issue for him. But until he had a better understanding of the situation, Paul didn't want to put Kenny in harm's way. He might not have been able to die, but he could still feel pain.

As such, Paul stepped out of the hotel room, ushering Kelsey and Ranuen into the hall and closing the door behind him, leaving Kenny to stand there pouting in the living room.

Kenny did this for about ten seconds. Then he bolted for his room...
