Sakura hurried up as well. "I... well, he is like a large rabbit. Rabbits shouldn't get wet. It's not good for them..."
Hana saw the glint of metal in the back of the water. "Subaki, you see that? Can you check it out?"
"I will. I don't see any archers in this group, so I should be okay." As he let Yarne off of the pegasus' back, the Sky Knight flew a little further, attempting to inspect the odd glint.

When the Sky Knight got too close, a wicked-looking lance shot out of the water, narrowly missing Vanessa and Subaki. After a moment, it rose from the depths again, this time striking its target, crimson blood staining the surface of the water, blending in with the reflected sunset...
"W-What is that?!" Elise said, nervously crawling a few steps back, having jumped in shock and landing wrong. Effie frowned, her and Benny forming a defensive wall in front of the two princesses.
"If it wants to fight, it can fight us! Let's go, Benny!"

"AHH!" Subaki screamed out as he was struck heavily by the lance's blow, Vanessa whinnying and quickly flying back towards shore.
"Subaki!" Sakura was very quick to use her Festal to treat the wounds the Sky Knight had sustained; a closer inspection showed just how badly he'd been hurt... that blow had very nearly killed him. "Goodness... what was that?!"
Yarne shivered as he took another step forward. "...I dunno, but... it doesn't look good..."
Charlotte rolled her shoulder, grasping her axe and standing right behind the two Knights, watching as the figure slowly emerged from the water as the tide went out near fully. "...The hell kind of armor is that? I've never seen anything like that... or that weapon before..."

"Be careful..." Elise said, trying to maintain distance such that she was safe, but so that they could also feel her arm aura. "That weapon looks just plain gruesome..."
As the tide rolled back, the strange soldier charged forward, meeting Benny, who could not raise his shield in time to block the attack. He grunted, more from the shock of the impact...
[Benny's HP: 32 -> 23]
"Nrgh? That... Didn't hurt as much as I thought it would..."
The strange soldier had also noted this, and went after Effie instead, only to be met by her shield, blocking the worst of the attack.
[Effie's HP: 26 -> 18]
"That was close," Effie said, striking the spectre with her lance.
[Vallite's HP: 36 -> 29]
"We need to hit it hard and fast before it can do any more damage!"

"That sounds like a job for me. Stand back; I want a piece of this guy." Charlotte rolled her shoulder again, gaze sharpening at the unusual lance-wielder.
Yarne called out quickly, "Be careful! I think he's wielding a Killer Lance! It's... not like any one I've ever seen, but..." It was the only thing that made sense, given how he'd just attacked...
"I said I got this!" Charlotte snapped back, before moving in before the tide could come back in, glaring at the soldier. "You disgust me!" With a few steps and a flip in the air, Charlotte roared out, slamming her axe down and cleaving the invisible soldier in two, watching as it slowly dissipated. "Haah... haah... told ya."
Subaki flew forward, meeting one of the remaining Sky Knights with his lance. "We're nearly finished; excellent work taking care of their leader!"

"Nice one, Charlotte!" Effie said, pushing aside a Mercenary, skewering the Diviner behind it in one clean blow. The Mercenary itself found itself on the business end of Benny's Iron Lance. The black-clad man noticed that the strange weapon (a Killer Lance, according to the rabbit man) had stayed behind, not vanishing with its owner.
"I'll take this with us. It could be useful."
Another flyer, a wyvern rider wielding a lance, splashed up from the lake. A glint appeared in Arthur's eye as it lunged for the man. "You're out of luck, friend!" With a jump, he brought his Steel Axe down upon the rider, the invisible soldier dissipating, although in the process, Arthur had lost his balance, and splashed down into the lake. After a second, a blue-clad hand reached out with a thumbs-up. Clearly, there were no more figures below the surface.
"I think we're almost at the end of this!" Elise said, trying to stay close to the fighters.

"Yeah... I think so too." Not wanting to become his rabbit form while soaking wet, Yarne drew his sword, fighting and taking down an Oni Savage while Subaki finished off the Sky Knight he was fighting. "There! We're done here!"
(Stage Clear!)
As the battlefield finally settled, the members of the group that were further in the tide region pulled back, starting to try and dry off. Charlotte wrung out her hair, sighing. "Well, still wasn't fun getting wet like that... but that made for good stress relief."
"You can say that again," Yarne said, trying to dry off as best he could, as well.
Subaki sighed softly, dismounting from his pegasus' back. "That was... rough. But we made it through. Still... that unusual lance..."

Benny held out the rather sinister-looking lance, causing some of the weaker-hearted members of the group to shudder. "You said this could be a Killer Lance, correct?" The question seemed directed at Yarne. "It feels like one, and even looks like one... But it's not quite the same..."
Elise raised her Mend staff, working on healing the injuries that had been sustained by the group. "It certainly feels bad enough... Camilla and Leo said they get their properties due to their design..."
Arthur crawled out of the water, covered in yet more piranhas. Effie walked over to her fellow retainer, helping remove the biting fishes off the unlucky man. After Sakura began healing, Elise joined Effie in removing the piranhas from Arthur. "I guess introductions are in order?"

Yarne nodded at Benny. "Can I look at that a little closer?" Taking the weapon, the Taguel sat down cross-legged. "I'm not as good at this as my dad, but... I'm pretty good at analyzing things. Tactician's Eyes, it's called... A-Ah, right. Introductions... My name's Yarne. I'm from the Halidom of Ylisse."
"Another world, apparently," Hana chimed in. "We've met a bit here and there but haven't really talked before... Charlotte, right? And Benny?"
"Yeah," Charlotte said, a little rough in how she spoke. Seemed that she was too tired to really keep her normal act up. "The name's Charlotte. I'm from Windmire in Nohr. Border Guard before I joined up with this little army."
"Duly noted... I am Sakura, Princess of Hoshido, and these are my retainers, Subaki and Hana. Well met, Charlotte, Benny."

"It's nice to see you two again!" Elise said with a single, before noticing... "Wow! It's getting really dark out..."
Effie frowned, removing the last piranha off Arthur. "That's not good. Even I couldn't fight them off if they attacked us in the dark..."
Arthur winced from all the bites he had sustained. "We should find shelter... Uh, is there anything we could use?"
Benny turned to face Charlotte. "Didn't we see some kind of stone building, not too far from here?"

Charlotte nodded. "Yeah, some weird-looking temple thing, I think. Might not be ideal but it's better than staying here."
"She's right," Sakura said in response, "we don't really have many options... Subaki, would you be able to scout that out when we arrive?"
"Of course, my liege." Subaki gave Sakura a bow. "We best be off then? Those invisible soldiers could come again at any time, really..."
"Yeah. Let's get going." Yarne shook his head slightly to toss a bit more water off, before getting his gear back together. "I can try leading; my night vision isn't the best but I should be able to get us there, at least."
