"It's fine. I'm fine," Paul gently insisted, not wanting anyone to worry about him. He stood up, still rubbing his neck. "I guess we may as well get going."
"O-Okay..." Kelsey mumbled, still staring worriedly at Paul. As annoyed as she was that her question didn't get answered, she couldn't get too upset about it. Something was clearly bothering the dragon man.
Kenny moseyed over to the door, grabbing his parka off the hook. It was still a little damp on the outside, but that never bothered him before. "Everything's gotta fall into place eventually, right?" He mused as he threw the coat on and tightened the hood around his head. "Rhhdy!"
Paul glanced at William, then at the door to his bedroom. He felt bad leaving Scott out, especially after that conversation about letting his older brother back into his life... but at the same time, Paul knew he needed his rest. Besides, now that he was here, there was no point in keeping him out of the loop altogether. There would be time to catch up. Like Kenny said, everything would fall into place one way or another. "Yeah... Yeah, probably oughta let him know where we are, at least."
He walked into the kitchen to grab a notepad and pen, pausing for a moment to figure out where exactly they were going in case Scott wanted to meet them there. Something started to occur to him as he did. Angels... owning a bar... those names... "So... Lobo and Loba... they wouldn't happen to run that club downtown, would they?"

"Either that, or they just slapped their name on it. ... I never actually asked if they really owned their bars or just put their name on it, come to think of it..."
William scratched his chin, thinking a bit too hard about this little issue. "If they stole it, that's probably illegal, but seeing as they did shut down everything back in our world or at least the one on Honni... gah!"
"You think too much," Jordan stated, throwing his cloak over William's head, forcing the taller one to duck down to fit under it more effectively. "Who cares? They're not hurting anyone. Now hurry. The faster we get there, the less time I have to spend in the rain."
"Do change, Jordan. Do change..." William shook his head. "Anyways, we'll be off once Paul's done with his note... Ah! There he is!"

"Yep! Coming!" Paul called, setting his note for Scott on the kitchenette table before grabbing his own jacket and umbrella out of the closet for good measure.
"Oh, great. Back to where it all started," Kelsey mumbled, not exactly thrilled to return to where she had gotten caught in the middle of what was essentially an attempted shooting. Nevertheless, she shrugged off her concerns and followed Kenny and the brothers out, her desire for answers outweighing her fear of potential drama.
As Paul closed the hotel room door behind them, Kelsey looked back at him somewhat sadly, still questioning how all of this was affecting him. She could tell that part of him was greatly troubled, even if he wasn't showing it. When he met her gaze, she could see that gleam in his bright yellow eyes, prompting Kelsey to offer him a warm smile. She might not have had much to alleviate the situation, but she could at least assure him of one thing. "He'll come around. I'm sure of it. A lot can happen in eight years."
"Yeah..." Paul smiled a little, nodded, and half-consciously took Kelsey's hand. That seemed to comfort him at least a little. "I guess in a weird way... it is nice to see him again."
Staring at the wall as they made their way towards the elevator, something else finally started to dawn on Paul. Something that got him worrying about his brother all over again.
Just how exactly did Scott get there...?
