Ryan spun around as Percy bolted, right after tossing his bag on the counter. "This has been.... Well then." He took his seat back on the bar beside Lydia, whose night, from what he could gather, had gotten a LOT worse. Well. That is to say, he'd vaguely seen her chasing after the other woman, and well. Now that she was back here, with her face in her arms.... "I err.... Hey...." He said to Lydia. "Not.... gonna be someone who's gonna tell you it's gonna be all okay, or some shit like that. Sounds.... like a really bad night. I'm sorry." He told her, expressing sympathy to her. "If that guy had enough in his pack to get you another round, want me to buy you the one after?" He offered. "I can drag you home if you're too drunk to walk, too." He said, trying to help out someone he saw as having the miserable night to end all such nights.

Lydia wiped her face off, emitting a congested-sounding sniffle in the process. She looked up at Lobo, then at Ryan, then at the bag of, presumably, money, then at her phone. She limply slipped the latter into her pocket after removing the credit card she kept in her phone case, then she nodded glumly to the two men. "Thad... Tha's okay. I prolly shoul... jus... go... h..."
Then Lydia looked up again, glancing tiredly at the various bottles and glasses stocked on the shelves behind the bar. She knew she would just be proving Max right. She knew she would only be adding fuel to her problems. But in times like these, when everything was at its absolute worst –which, for her, was often– there was only one thing that really made Lydia feel better, if only slightly.
She sighed with defeat and leaned her forehead into her hand. "Maybe jus... one more..."

"Y'know, I'm gonna have to put my foot down."
Lobo glanced down at Lydia with a look of... pity? "Look. You've gotten enough outta yer system for now. As amusing as m'sister may find drunk humans, I don't need ya dead. At least not f' another fifty-sixty years." He poked the bag, and seeing no reaction, dumped its contents onto the counter. "'Sides, you said you gotta mission, yeah? Can't exactly do the mission if you're dead, and I don't need 'nother lawsuit..."
With that, Lobo began to count the coins, mostly silver and bronze with a few gold. "Heh, haven't seen Saian shillings in awhile... Hmm... hmm... eh... carry the one..."

Ryan gave Lydia a sympathetic look. "I uhh..." Damn. What could he say to her right now? Here she was pushing for yet another drink, when she really... probably didn't need one at all now.
Fortunately Lobo saved Ryan the trouble of figuring something out by cutting Lydia off at the tap. Ryan inadvertently let out a sigh of relief that this girl wasn't about to go and drink herself to death. Not here anyways. "Right, well ummm... Miss... If you need a hand walking in a straight line, I don't mind helping you home." He offered. Given Lydia's outburst either, he doubted she'd take him up on it, but it was worth the offer right? "I should probably be shoving off anyways." As he spoke, Ryan stood up, pausing a moment to check his balance. ...Huh. Yeah. His balance was coming back. It was impressive that the drink Lobo had given him was still having an effect, but his cybernetic body filters seemed to be finally doing their work on it. He was still somewhat affected, however.
"Thanks for the drinks." Ryan added as he pulled a credit card to cover his own bill, keeping an eye on Lydia in case she did choose to accept.

Sadly gazing up at Lobo, Lydia took a moment to process what he was telling her, partially because her brain legitimately wasn't working that quickly but mostly for the sake of introspection. As much as she wanted to drown her sorrows, something told her that nothing was going to lift her spirits at this point. That she was only a few digs away from rock bottom. Maybe what she needed right now was rest. A physical and mental recharge before she was shipped off again tomorrow.
Eventually, she took a deep breath and sat up straight. "Okay... Okay, yeah, tha's fair. Maybe yer ride... I-I shud go home..."
After handing the angel her credit card just in case the leftover money that other guy had left behind didn't cover the bill (which was likely), Lydia turned to Ryan as the young man offered to escort her home. "Th-Tha's okay... Muh 'partment's not too far way. I c'n mayg it. Thangs, though..."
Once her bill was paid, she nodded to Lobo in genuine gratitude. "Thangs, Lobo. Y-You hava good nigh..."
And with that said, Lydia stood up, silently and lethargically shuffled over to the door, and stepped out into the din of the night-drenched city. As hazy as her mind was, she could still walk the long-memorized trek from the club to her apartment with little issue. This wasn't her first rodeo, after all.
As she stumbled down the sidewalk, making her way home, the world spinning all around her the whole way, Lydia tried her best not to think too hard about what had happened back at the club or what was about to happen tomorrow. In her current state, it wasn't hard. She still felt somewhat emotional over the trainwreck that was her life –her breakup, her miserable job, her addictions, her abandonment issues, her crushed dreams– but for now, she desperately pushed them aside in favor of temporary numbness. Tonight, all she wanted was to lift those weights off her shoulders and revel in her brief moment of freedom.
The city became a dark blur of blacks, blues and greys. She spread her arms out, tuning out all sensations save for the breeze in her hair. It barely even felt like she was moving her feet, and yet the world continued to pass her by. As far as Lydia Pendleton was concerned, she flew home that night.
