"Aaaaand now you're full of tranqs." Following a sigh, the voice seemed to mumble more to herself than to Will, "Good luck trying to talk your way through this one now..."
---------------------------
Lydia allowed a couple minutes to roll by without a word. Will seemed to have calmed down quite a bit, probably due more to the tranquilizers than her being quiet, but at least he wasn't outwardly panicking about the voice in his head anymore. Hopefully he'd be stable enough to hear her out soon.
By this point, she was leaning back in her chair, watching with deadpan eyes and folded arms as a nurse went through the usual checkup routine with Will: pulse, blood pressure, temperature... Once the nurse got around to checking his eyes, forcing Lydia to look away from the sharp glare on her monitor, her impatience finally got the better of her.
"Sooo... I don't know how well they can help, and I don't know how much trouble I'd get in if they knew I was here, but I've already violated tons of protocol just talking to you, so f*ck it. Tell her I'm in the tympanic cavity. I'm right inside your left ear."

"... Is... Is this what it's like to be Percy and have a snarky voice in my head?"
The doctor seemed to ignore William's mutterings, his glasses moved to allow the light to shine into his eyes, wincing when the light was removed and the nurse wrote something down. "Because at least you sound removable as opposed to being fused to my soul... Uh, wait, are you sure you're not fused to my soul?"
If this was what it was like to be Percy, than fuck it! William coughed to get the nurse's attention. "Hey, doc, check my tympanic cavity... wherever that is... check my left ear. ... Wax buildup, maybe?"

Lydia let out a stiff exhale through her nose. "Very sure I'm not fused to your soul. I'm still corporeal, Will. I'm just... very small. And inside you."
Well, at least he was listening to her now. Again, Lydia wasn't sure how helpful a normal nurse or doctor could be in this scenario, but it was fair to say she was willing to take whatever help she could get. Best case scenario, they could contact Mexus and let them know where she was, or at least extract her here and now so should wouldn't have to keep hanging out in this weirdo's head.
Of course, she wasn't sure how looking in Will's ear would accomplish that. It was unlikely the nurse would see her considering she was microscop... Wait... WAIT...!
"GYAHHH!!!"
Lydia reeled back, desperately shielding her eyes with her sleeve as the nurse shined a pin light in Will's ear, filling the pale, cavernous space with an intense, blinding white haze. "SH*T! SH*T!!! TURN IT OFF!!!"

"Cripes, you scream louder than the time my brother tricked my kid sister into eating natto..."
He made a wincing expression. "Yo, doc, I think we're good. I guess there was no wax buildup? Ehehehe?"
William was dismissed, apparently nothing was wrong besides having a few too many drinks last night. "... Okay," he said as he made his way back to the lobby, where Percy was still reading that damn magazine. "Can you please, please, kindly explain to me what the fuck is going on?" Beat. "... You... aren't a neurax worm, are you?"

"Wh...? No! I don't even know what that IS! Ugh...!" Lydia massaged her temples. Her head was pounding and she could hardly see through the spots in her eyes. "Look, just... just give me a moment, okay? I'll get back to you once the migraine wears off!"
She blindly reached over to her radio and switched off audio contact for the time being. Lydia knew herself too well. Even if she could think straight through the nausea and the pain, she wasn't going to sound very pleasant with a headache, and after that embarrassing first encounter, she had a feeling that talking this guy down was going to be difficult.

"... Great, now we both have snarky voices in our heads!"
Were the first words that came out of William Lowe's mouth once he was out of earshot of the nurse and within earshot of Percy. Speaking of which, the brunette had decided to steal the magazine. "I dunno how you deal with it, Perce. I mean, Imago likes to yap all the time, yeah? How do you deal with it?" Beat. No response. "Is this a demonstration?" Still no response. "Shiiiiit... something tells me our vacation isn't gonna be much of a vacation... gimme the pizza man..."
"You flesh-creatures talk too much," came a voice from Percy's location. The brunette lowered the magazine, revealing red eyes, red markings, and a smirk. "Is that really what you think if me, hm? A snarky voice inside my container's head? Why, I'm flattered." The red-eyed person chuckled. "Oh, don't worry. I'm just here to make fun of you, maybe put some more bugs on your face if you start to fall asleep..."
"... Hi, Imago," William replied to the bodyjacking demon's tirade in the most dry tone he could manage. "I see you're as pleasant to be around as ever."
