"And you couldn't have said that to begin with? Why does nobody explain in plain language first?"
...
Oh.
"Hang on. You can do what?!"
"Will, Ryan's going to bust the door down soon."
Will stared into the mirror, then back at the creepy doctor, then back at the mirror. He looked down for a moment to sigh. "Please tell me this isn't permanent. Just get it over with."

"No, no, it's definitely not permanent," Lydia responded as she typed in a few commands, her eyes darting between her computer and the manual Jack had provided her with. "At least it shouldn't be. Honestly, this program's kinda complicated; I'm not gonna act like I completely understand it. But I doubt that the amount of tension it'll take to rearrange your face can hold forever. ...It is gonna hurt, though, I can almost guarantee that."
Percy's ultimatum, faintly audible through the door, only earned an anxious groan out of Lydia. "Eyes on the mirror. Let's see if we can't do this in under a minute."

"Uh, hurt? What kind of hurt? Slap on the wrist type hurt?" Will looked up at the mirror. "Punch to the face type hurt? Stab in the gut type hurt? ... Kidney removal surgery without ana- augh!?"
Before he could complete that thought, he felt a hot, tingly sensation in his face. "What are you doing?! Oh gods-" Was something moving?! Oh gods, what had he signed up for?!
Before his eyes, he saw his facial features morph...
"Okay Ryan. Do your thing. I need to hit Will before I actually do bring the building down."

Ryan had been polite so far. Despite his own anger and frustration with Will. "Will. Giving you to the count of three." He said to the bathroom door.
"One...." Ryan took a breath. Don't make me do this Will...
"Two...." Ryan was approaching the door, and placed his hand on the door knob.
"....Three."
Ryan didn't turn the door knob. He just pulled. Ryan's bionic limbs were capable of exerting about two tons of force. A single stall bathroom door was not made to withstand that kind of force. There was the sound of metal bending and warping, and the lock on the door was completely destroyed as Ryan yanked the door right open, the lock a complete ruin. Not.... something that a normal human could accomplish. To Ryan's dismay, he'd basically just signposted to everyone that he wasn't exactly normal. "Get out of there right now Wi-- THIS IS YOUR PLAN!?"

"Whoa, Ryan, holy sh*t!" Max exclaimed, blindsided by Ryan's ridiculously inhuman strength, not to mention the sheer amount of damage it had inflicted on the bathroom door. She had expected him to simply kick it in. Not THIS. What even WAS that?
As if that brutal display didn't freak her out enough, Ryan's reaction to whatever Will was doing only compounded Max's anxiety. "What?! What's he doing now?!" she demanded, fidgeting and straining to crane her neck so she could see around Max and Percy.

"Alright, Will, we're getting there," Lydia chimed in, unfazed by the violent quakes her pod was experiencing as she continued to type in commands, sending electrical signals through his facial nerve that twisted his features this way and that. Lips stretching, nose puckering, jawline becoming more pronounced... It was an awkward process, but it seemed to be working, so much so that Lydia almost seemed ignorant to the sheer amount of tension and burning agony Will's face was experiencing. "Now hang on. This might pinch just a tiny bit."
As soon as she started adjusting the shape of Will's eyes, the sound of the door being ripped away from its hinges was broadcast through her headset, followed by Ryan's startled voice. "Rgh... Dammit, guys, bad timing! Hold on! We're almost done!" The oddness of the situation didn't even occur to her. All she cared about was finishing her job, her gaze darting back and forth as she hastily entered in another set of commands. "Was that a five or a six? Yeah, no, I'm right, it's a five."

"!!"
It took all of Will's self-control to not react to the door being torn off its hinges and the subsequent screaming at him, coupled with the OHGOGSWHATTHEFUCK pain in his face. Oh gods, was this his future?! Assuming he had one to go off?! Okay, he could live with the jaw, but really? He just might have to pull a Curtis Killough if this was what he'd look like in his thirties. Again, assuming he would make it to that age.
"Will?! Wha..." Percy looked over at the blonde staring at his reflection in pain, then at the bound-up doctor stripped to his skivvies. "... Oh. I get it." And suddenly, the brunette understood. "Will, I didn't know you could shapeshift! So, this was your plan? Knock out the creepy doctor and snoop around pretending to be him?"
You didn't know I could shapeshift because I can't. Internally, however, Will sighed in relief. Percy had at least given an excuse, even if it was by accident.

Ryan backed away from the bathroom door. "This is... This is.... Gaah...." Ryan growled out, storming away from the door to give Max and Percy a good look. Then paused, as he spun around with a suspicious look. That's not right.... Will.... was this actually your idea? He wondered. Ryan was still visibly seething with anger and frustration though. Not the least reason being for entirely selfish reasons at least. "Take a good look anyways Max, to see Will's brilliant plan, that he failed to notify us of before." He grunted. "And as for the door.... Yeah.... I can do more than that." He admitted.

"Shapeshifting?" As soon as Ryan provided leeway, Max stepped in to check on Will. She visibly gagged when she saw his face contorting in the mirror –not to mention the unconscious, bound and mostly-naked Andrew sitting in the corner– recoiling a few steps before going completely rigid. She hardly even heard Ryan's quips. All she could comprehend was the absolutely insane process taking place in the restroom.
Again... why was she not made aware of this ahead of time?!
"Will...!"

"Percy, your ignorance is greatly appreciated," Lydia mumbled, clearly frustrated with the crap Will was getting from Max and Ryan. This plan was quite possibly the best way to find what they needed in this dump and here they were acting like this was an utter betrayal. And just how were they supposed to hide the body now that Ryan had broken the door?!
Well, one bridge at a time. For now, Lydia focused on finishing Will's face. A slight tweak of the eyebrows, a little more definition to the nose, and...
Finally, the burning and the pulling seemed to settle. Lydia pulled away from her keyboard and took a look at Will's reflection in her monitor. If she didn't know any better, she would've assumed Andrew had woken up without his black eye and was staring in wonder at the man who knocked him out.
She blew a kiss and mimicked a puff of smoke with her fingers, marveling at her work. "Magnifique."

This had better not be permanent, otherwise I just might have to pull a Curtis Killough once you're out of me.
Will gave an awkward grin into the mirror, before turning to face the trio before him. Wait, who broke the door? Eh... he kicked down a door one time. He doesn't remember what prompted him to do so, but he remembers kicking down a door. For now, he'd just guess Ryan had some super strength or something.
"Okay, here's the plan." Will tried altering his voice to be close to Andrew's. "I'm going to pretend to be Doctor Kent. So long as I can hold this facial morph, they won't know it's me. As for you three... No Percy, put that away, we are not bringing the building down..."
"Aww. So, can I put my hair down and take these shoes off at least?"
"No. But if someone wants to fix the door, be my guest."

Ryan looked at the door, and at Will, and at the door. And then sighed. "....Okay. Fine." He said bitterly. "I didn't.... want to have to show this to all of you." He admitted to Will and Max. And especially Lydia. "Please.... just keep this between yourselves, okay? Please don't got spreading this around." He said, as he walked towards the door, and pushed it awkwardly back into place, with a little effort. "But. As long as we're all coming clean..." And he looked between Maxine, Percy, and Will-- his stare falling on Will for a fair bit longer than the others. "...I may as well do everything I can to make sure this goes smoothly, and help Max take everything into account." As Ryan said this, he pressed his left hand against the door lock. There was a soft metallic "click" sound and suddenly the metal underneath Ryan's hand lit up with sparks. The lock began to glow bright red, and the group would see the lock melting together, sealing the door shut.
Ryan took a moment and then stepped back. "....That should at least keep suspicions down for awhile. And well. With some specialized equipment, shouldn't be too hard to get it open again, so he's not gonna starve to death in there or anything." He looked at Max and the others with an embarrassed look. "A-anyways.... Umm.... Let's.... let's hurry and go save Lydia, okay?"

"Wiiiiill..." Max groaned, covering her face with her hands, still unable to put to words just how ludicrous this situation was. The fact that Will had apparently magicked his face to match Andrew's barely even fazed her. She had seen weirder. It was just the fact that this spontaneous change in plans was not only testing her patience and sense of trust, but there were so many ways in which it could go wrong, none of which Will had felt inclined to iron out with her. Sure, Max's original plan wasn't foolproof, but at least she was honest about it. All of these preparations gone to waste, and for what?
Well... like she said, she was basically stuck here now. Might as well try to salvage the hand she was dealt, no matter how begrudgingly. And by God, was Max going along with this begrudgingly.
After dropping her hands and offering Will and disappointed scowl for a good ten seconds, Max turned to Ryan as the young man propped the door back up in its place, then proceeded to somehow melt the metal inside and seal the restroom entryway shut again. Her aggravation faded into simple intrigue, though again, she didn't seem especially shocked by the spectacle. If anything, seeing Ryan remedy at least a small part of the problem, following this up with a sweet display of bashfulness, got Max to smile a little.
"Hey." Max offered the cyborg a light, friendly slap on the back. "Don't fret too much about it. I've been in the company of stranger folks. Your secret's safe with me. In the meantime, let's see what we can do about Lydia and the chip."
Her brief moment of levity brought at least a little of Max's motivation back, although she still couldn't help but let out a flat sigh and put on a deadpan glare as she looked to Will again and gestured towards the door to the lab. "Alright. Lead the way, Andrew."

"Ohh..." Lydia stared at her monitor in awe and wonder as Will watched Ryan weld the door back in place with his bare hands. Just like that, she understood his sudden breakdown earlier, leading an uncomfortable lump to rise in her throat. How many times had she used her electromagnetic boosters around Ryan? Just how badly did it affect him? She was willing to call it outright dumb luck that the guy's head didn't explode from the intense signal.
Well... Ryan was keeping her secret. It was only fair that she keep his.
With a deep breath, Lydia allowed this revelation about Ryan's true nature to comfortably settle in with the rest of the information she had gathered thus far. It wasn't like her opinion on the kid had changed. If anything, this potentially allowed for even more means with which they could search for the microchip. But for now, she had to prepare herself for the most likely course of action she would take in the next phase.
"You heard the woman, Will," she teased as she detached the pod from Will's facial nerve and piloted it deeper into his cranium. "Lead the way!"
............
"Wrong door."
............
"That's an exit, Will."

...
Will coughed to clear his throat, turning to Max, Ryan, and Percy with a smile. "My apologies for the delay and my disorientation, Miss Niles." He internally cringed at his tone and what he just said. "Now, if you and your interns would follow me, I can start us on this jolly tour."
Well, he was sure this was the right door. "Ladies first," he said, gesturing to Max. His face said I'm a sleezeball doctor, his eyes said kill me now. Once he was sure they were out of sight, Will placed a palm to his face. "... Why was this the best plan again?" he said to nobody in particular.
