A building seemed to pop up overnight in an abandoned lot. It reflected the general area but at the same time seemed out of place with oddly curved windows and some of the knots in the planks covering the sides seeming to blink. It seemed like a nice little place other than the oddities.
Inside seemed to look more like an old speakeasy from a bygone era. The main feature was a dark oak bar that had a beautiful piece of stained glass behind it with bottles of assorted liquids on elegantly carved shelves. Tables sat with chairs with deep red velvet seats on top of them.
The owner of the bar stretched as she came down the stairs. "Time to open up~" the woman noted as she fastened her cufflinks. Several fox ears pointed forward as she went to get the chairs down and do her standard cleaning.

SLAM
The front door shot open suddenly and unceremoniously, the sheer force knocking over a few nearby chairs.
A fairy stood in the doorway, flat on their feet, hand gripping the knob, neon red hair slightly ruffled, blue and green wings perfectly still. Their expression was... hard to read, between the uncomfortably wide green eyes and painfully enormous, almost forced-looking smile.
They kept still for a few awkward seconds, looking around the room. Then their gaze landed on the fox-eared woman.
"HI!!!"

Astra put her hat on covering the extra ears. "Hello~" she offered. "What can I help you with, stranger? Food? Drink?" Astra had no room to judge on odd appearances.

"Oh no, no no no no no no no no no no no~!" Rainflower kicked the door shut behind them, zipping over to the nearest upright chair and sitting down on it backwards. "Let's not rush things, lest I start waxing philosophical right out the gate! I was simply in the neighborhood, heard about this fine little establishment, thought I'd come check it out! So...!"
The fairy leaned an elbow on the back of the chair, resting their chin in their hand. "How's business, friend?"

Astra chuckled. "Would you believe you're the first one to set foot in this establishment besides myself since I arrived here," she answered taking a seat as well. "Just about to make some appetizers and snacks for later patrons... if they come." Her shoulders drooped slightly.

"You don't say," Rainflower mused, tapping their chin. "That's a shame."
They hopped their chair closer to Astra, fluttering their wings for the sake of leverage but still putting in a fair amount of effort. "Well...! You see...! (Hup...!) I just so happen to be something of an alchemist! A brewer, a potion master, call it what you like. Name's Rainflower! And IIIII..." The fairy finally came to a halt, leaning their cheeks into their hands. "...am curious what you do here."

Astral smiled. "Simple I make drinks with infused liqours. One combination could turn the drinker into a humanoid dragon where another could turn them into a raven panther griffen creature or even a taur," she offered. Her good eye lighting up as she spoke of past examples. "The effects last for a few weeks or even a few hour if the drinker wants a glass of the house merlot. And even better- no hangovers."

"Oooooooooohhh~" Rainflower's bright green eyes sparkled with intrigue. "I like your style."
They jumped up slightly and sat down on the back of the chair, delicately perched, perfectly balanced. "I enjoy me some transmutation myself! Keeps life interesting! Always changing! And I just wanna be suuuuure..." They tilted their head like an owl. "...that my thunder will remain unstolen. Hm?"

Astra chuckled. "Dear. No one said we couldn't spice up each other's transformation stash~" she offered with a smirk. Her good eye trained on the fae.

Rainflower tilted their head, briefly scrutinizing Astra. This lasted all of half a second before they beamed giddily, drummed their feet against the chair, and clapped once with an abundance of enthusiasm. "Now that is what I like to hear! So, whatcha got in stock?! Any shrivelfigs? Angel tree sap? Ooh, I've been itching to get my hands on a wolpertinger antler! Name your price and I can trade anytime!"

"You name it I probably have it, Rainflower," Astra chuckled. "Also that Worpletinger Antler is used in a few of my brews as a catalyst for the transformation. How many you need?"
Business was business to her and a bit of extra money on the side was a blessing.

Rainflower pressed their fists to their mouth, squeaking shrilly as they barely suppressed their squeal. "...Three! I think three would be good! Thank you!"
They pulled their hands away and took a deep breath, pausing for a few seconds to basically meditate. Then Rainflower smiled back up at Astra. "So what might you want from me, then? I have my own little collection of herbs and ingredients at my current residence, and I'm not opposed to trading recipes either~!"

Astra got up to retrieve the three antlers. "If you have an wild wood extract or Dragon's tendon- I could used them for two of my brews," she offered.

"Wood extracts, I can definitely deliver! It's been a while since I last had any dragon parts in my stocks, though..." Rainflower tapped their chin thoughtfully and excitedly. "Might just have to remedy that."
They slowly fell backwards, slumping upside-down into the chair. "But what has me the most curious is how we can both get a little more experience! I mean, this place is depressingly empty. That's just no fun."

Astra chuckled. "I like the enthusiasm, Rain, but it takes a bit of time for things to get going. I can start cooking. The smells should waft out the windows and the door if we prop it open," she offered. "So you want anything to eat? You name it and I can probably cook it."
